               Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?

To the mind that is yet to graduate from theological puerility, some Bible characters have swung open the doors of the possibility to counsel God. “After all ‘concerning the work of my hands command ye me’ is what Isaiah reads,” becomes their scriptural submission.

A counsellor’s beam on the darkened side of an individual’s life, with an intention to make one see clearly and to succeed, is purely advisory. The submission of Moses in his bid to assuage God’s ire was nothing short of counselling. Let us read Exodus 32:9-14, 9) “And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people: 10) Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation. 11) And Moses besought the LORD his God, and said, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand? 12) Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people. 13) Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever. 14) And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.” God was visibly irked, being the One to call them ‘stiffnecked people.’ But the question truly is, can God be counselled?

 

“Peradventure ten shall be found there?”

In the book of Genesis 18:22-32, Abraham is seen in a conversational rapport with Jehovah. Verses 18:22-26 read, 22) “And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD. 23) And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked? 24) Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein? 25) That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right? 26) And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.” Abraham continued to haggle from fifty to a minimal few in order to save Sodom and Gomorrah. Verse 32 reads, “And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten’s sake.” In both scenarios God heeded to the counsel of each character. Whether the Lord God can be counselled or not can only be answered by His protocol, the Bible. Let us consult the Scriptures.

                              “Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD?”

Isaiah 40:13-14 read, 13) “Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him? 14) With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding?” An earlier Old Testament saint, Job went rhetorical in Job 21:22, “Shall any teach God knowledge? seeing he judgeth those that are high.” Paul evidently quoted Isaiah in his scripting of Romans 11:34, “For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?” The next verse asks, “Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?”

I am born again. What next? (2)

Four things God expects from a born again Christian. They are not designed to carry out the maintenance of your rebirth. They serve as spiritual lubrication geared towards the smooth running of your life. They aid your growth from Christian babyhood (brephos, in Greek) to the mature stature of what the Greek calls huios. Here are the four simple things:

* Pray only to your Father in heaven always (1Thessalonians 5:17); and in the name of Jesus (John 20:31; Acts 2:3, 3:6, 16:18; Ephesians 5:20; Philippians 2:10). As your heavenly Father, He wants to hear you because He loves you very much. He is a God of legality. The things you say have legal recordings against your enemy, therefore, talk to your Father! Amen!

* Read the Bible. Joshua 1:8 instructs, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” The Bible is God’s protocol. In it is God’s word, which is His power. The more you read His word the more you know the mind of God.

* Hebrews 10:25, “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” The only place of Christian assemblage is in the Church. The language of this verse is a commandment. A Christian goes to Church to refuel his spiritual tank and to recharge the potency of the battery his new life. Church attendance is of utmost pith of Christian living.

* The fourth is found in the Book of Mark 16:15, “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” This is the essence of being the Lord’s soldier and His ambassador. Tell everyone you meet that Jesus is the saviour. Anyone who believes God’s word wants to become His child. Pray the prayer or salvation with the person. Get them born again.

The good things you did before you got born again will earn you only earthly rewards. They do not enter into the celestial record of righteousness. You start to work for God only after you go through spiritual rebirth. This is when you can be said to be laying treasures in heaven. 1Corinthians 3:13-15 says, “Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. 14) If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15) If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.” I am doing everything to receive my rewards of gold. What are you doing? Work for God. It pays. The scripture attests to it.

Get truly born again by saying this sinners’ prayer: “Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I am born again. What next? (1)

                  WE GOT THE SINFUL NATURE FROM OUR PRISTINE PARENTS

The sin of Adam which Lucifer inveigled his wife to commit plunged his descendants into the spiritual chaos man is still battling with all these six millennia. His disobedient act was an eradication of the innocency of his sinlessness at creation. He plunged disastrously into the dispensation of conscience thereby catapulting the entire human race from the dispensation of innocence.

                                  HE is the first Artist: HE sculptured Adam

Having created Adam in His likeness and, especially, in His image, God was attracted to the impaired state of the image (Christ) and got the fallen Adamic family out of the cataclysmic mess (the soul that sinneth, it shall die -Ezekiel 18:4, 20). God had to slaughter innocent animals to atone for their sin. Even in the stupidity of Cain’s obstinate apostasy God’s munificence reached out to him and offering him the scripture of Genesis 4:7, “If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door.” Here the word ‘sin’ is chaṭṭâ’âh or chaṭṭâ’th (khat-taw-aw’) ‘an offence (sometimes habitual sinfulness), and its penalty, occasion, sacrifice, or expiation; also (concretely) an offender.’ Chaṭṭâ’âh is an allusion to a ‘sin offering.’

‘Lieth’ is râbats (raw-bats’): ‘to crouch (on all four legs folded, like a recumbent animal); by implication to recline, repose, brood, lurk, imbed.’ ‘Lieth,’ conceptualizes the adumbration of the ultimate sin offering that the Lord Jesus must undergo to save the world of sin in His bid to save the lost souls.

Those who are born again have utilized the rational nature of their being to build on the solid rock of Luke 6:47-48. The people of the 49th verse have forsaken Jesus, the surest foundation, and are erroneously in the oblivion of the fact that all other grounds (religions) are sinking sand to hellish gaol.

The very second one gets born again he has been translated into the kingdom of God (Colossians 1:13). It is permanently eternal (John 3:16, 10:28-28; 1Corinthians 5:17). You are God’s child (Romans 8:15, 16 & Galatians 4:6). You have been enlisted into the army of Jesus Christ (2Timothy 2:3 & Revelation 19:19). Into the ambassadorial office of the kingdom of Christ, you have been elevated to hold (1Corinthians 5:20). You are a carrier of the Godhead (John 14:17, 23; Romans 8:11; 1Corinthians 3:16).

          Fight the Christian ‘Good Fight’ ‘Finish your Course’ & ‘Keep the Faith’

The militarized disposition of the born again person is purely spiritual. He is not expected to take up guns and bombs in the expansion of Christianity as was brutally waged by the Pope’s Catholicism, led by Ignatius Loyola. Neither is it to take the semblance of the known Islamist jihads led by Mohammad. The Christian understands the formidability of the unseen satanic forces of demonism which is propelled by the enmity towards God’s kingdom. We do not engage in physical attack on human enemies. We confront the demonic involvement. The Bible says, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12).

The armament is found in verses 13-19. It is for this reason we have the words of 2Corinthians 10:3-6, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4) (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6) And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.” The Christian wars are fought on our knees.

As His ambassadors we preach the kerygma; persuading them, using nothing but the revealed theological scriptures, to bring them into the knowledge of the truth. The truth is a Personage -Jesus, the Christ. Amen.

Get truly born again by saying this sinners’ prayer: “Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. How To Get Born Again (part five)

 

Man is known to be inherently evil. Psalm 51:5 informs that before I was born, when I was just a foetus, I was already a sinner! How can I then, in the authentication of Scripture, expect a one who has been smirched by sinfulness to save himself? Every natural man is a filthy rag. Any teaching of celestial citizenry which is enhanced by an avatar or self-help, and marginalizing the free gift of the gory cross should be jettisoned. It embraces Humanistic didacticism.

Sahih Bukhari & the Qur’an speak for Mohammedan Islam

A proof of Islam’s spiritual erroneous evil is captured in sura 46:9, “Say: “I am no bringer of new-fangled doctrine among the messengers, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I follow but that which is revealed to me by inspiration; I am but a Warner open and clear.” Islam’s most popular Hadith by Al-Bukhari quotes Abu Muraira’s testimony of Mohammad’s proclamation towards the end of his life saying, “Oh people of Quraysh, and you sons of Abdul Manaf and you Abbas the son of Abdul Mutallib, and you Safiyyat my aunt, I cannot save you from the punishment of the Day of Resurrection...” Mohammad’s prophecy on how to go to heaven is found in Sahih Bukhari 4:52:44 “A man came to Allah’s Apostle and said, ‘Instruct me as to such a deed as equals Jihad in reward.’ He replied, ‘I do not find such a deed.” This is Mohammed’s Islam!

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son…” “he that hath seen me hath seen the Father” (John 14:9) No man, religious founder, avatar or from the utterance of demonic séance could ventilate the biblical quotes of Jesus. “I am the way the truth and the life…” (John 14:6); “I am the resurrection” (John 11:25); “I and the Father are one” (John 10:30); “Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden…” (Matthew 11:28); “I am come that they might have life…” (John 10:10); “And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven” [John 3:13]. Only Jesus, who had been before the beginning of creation, God’s protocol, mighty God, the power, wisdom and righteousness of God can take us to heaven. Jesus is the only one who can bring your spiritual rejuvenation into a reality. He said in John 15:5, “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” (Confer Acts 4:12 & Philippians 4:13)

 

                 A born again individual has many advantages.

* The apposite juxtaposition of the “Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” with “of him, and through him, and to him, are all things,” enables you to understand that you are too involved spiritually, hence, your spirituality is of unrivalled essence. The first thing that occurs to a born again is the obliterative act of Divinity that wipes out the original sin that has caused man’s spiritual imbalance (Genesis 6:5; Psalm 51:5; Romans 3:23, 5:12).

* Having been adopted into the divine Family of the Godhead you, the begot, can, to Satan’s chagrin, utter the endearment words of, “Abba Father!” (Romans 8:16; Isaiah 56:5; Jeremiah 3:19; 1Corinthians 2:12; Galatians 4:5-7; Ephesians 1:5; Eph 1:11-12).

* 1John 1:9 becomes operational.

* You stand in righteousness before the thrice holy God (Romans 5:17, 8:10, 10:4; 1Corinthians 1:30, 2Corinthians 5:21; Galatians 3:24; Philippians 3:9; Colossians 2:10 & Hebrews 10:14).

* Dwelling inside the new you is the Holy Spirit. What does that make you? An eternal carrier of God! Ponderous! (Ezekiel 36:27; John 14:16, 17, 23; Romans 8:9, 11; 1Corinthians 3:16; 1Corinthians 6:9; Ephesians 1:13-14).

* You are vested in the power to be exercised ecclesiastically. Luke 24:49, “And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.” The word ‘power,’ is dunamis (doo’-nam-is): “force (literally or figuratively); specifically miraculous power (usually by implication a miracle itself).”

                * Dunamis gives you another power of Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions,…” which in Greek is exousia (ex-oo-see’-ah) [It is from exesti -ex’-es-tee- (in the sense of ability)] meaning: ‘privilege, that is, (subjectively) force, capacity, competency, freedom, or (objectively) mastery (concretely magistrate, superhuman, potentate, token of control), delegated influence.’ This exousia is a delegated authority which translates into an ambassadorial legality. (Proverbs 13:17; Malachi 2:7; John 20:21; Act 26:17-18).

* Above all, according to: John 3:16; 1Timothy 1:16 & 2Corinthians 5:17, you will never taste the eternal place of hellish gaol!

In the name of JESUS!

Jesus died, as the scriptures documentarily attest (Isa 26:19; Rom 8:11; 1Co 15:12-23; 2Cor 4:13; 2Co 4:14; 1Thess 4:14; Rev 1:18). He was seen around the land for forty whole days as the risen Christ (Acts 1:3) and was unchallenged, not even by the seventy-one members of the Sanhedrin, populated by the Pharisaical strictness nor by the unrelenting religious stance of Sadducees. The Bible tells us where He is seated (Psalm 110:1; Mark 16:19; Acts 2:34; Ephesians 1:20-22; Hebrews 12:2; 1Peter 3:22) in the heavenly assizes: as the sole Mediator (Job 9:33; 1Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 7:25; Heb 8:6; Heb 9:15; Heb 12:24). No Hadith can tell us where Mohammad is or how many hundreds of thousands of houris he is enjoying in heaven. Only Jesus can save. Amen!

How To Get Born Again (part four)

 

Will this Jihad truly get anyone to the heaven of the True Creator?

“In Buddhism there are several Heavens, all of which are still part of samsara (illusionary reality). Those who accumulate good karma may be reborn in one of them. However, their stay in Heaven is not eternal—eventually they will use up their good karma and will undergo rebirth into another realm, as a human, animal or other being. Because Heaven is temporary and part of samsara, Buddhists focus more on escaping the cycle of rebirth and reaching enlightenment (nirvana). Nirvana is not a heaven but a mental state” (from Wikipedia). The Bible says categorically, “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore” (Psalm 16:11). Heaven is an everlasting joy. Buddhism cannot get you born again.

One of the heavens of Buddhism?

“Heaven is said to see, hear and watch over all men. Heaven is affected by man’s doings, and having personality, is happy and angry with them. Heaven blesses those who please it and sends calamities upon those who offend it. Heaven was also believed to transcend all other spirits and gods, with Confucius asserting, “He who offends against Heaven has none to whom he can pray” (from Wikipedia).

‘In Islam if one’s good deeds outweigh one’s sins then one may gain entrance to Heaven. Conversely, if one’s sins outweigh their good deeds they are sent to hell. The more good deeds one has performed the higher the level of Heaven one is directed to. It has been said that the lowest level of Heaven, the first one, is already over one-hundred times better than the greatest life on Earth. The highest level is the seventh Heaven. Houses are built by angels for the occupants using solid gold’ (Wikipedia).

Getting born again is not of a man’s doing. This is what the Bible says in John 3:6, “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” Spiritual ignorance has enabled satanic influences as it is alluded to in Jude 1:19, “These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.”

It is either that Mohammed knew that it is the finished work of Jesus or, no heaven, or worse still, that he is totally oblivious of the Truth: the Lord Jesus. He called Jesus by His title ‘Christ’ eleven times in the Qur’an, which he attributed to none else. The Christ is the Saviour! Amen! I do see the possibility of Mohammed’s Islamic mission of deceit.

Some Qur’anic verses are given for elucidation. “If any do deeds of righteousness,- be they male or female – and have faith, they will enter Heaven, and not the least injustice will be done to them” (An-Nisa 124).

Chapter 3:142 “Did ye think that ye would enter Heaven without Allah testing those of you who fought hard (In His Cause) and remained steadfast?” Qur’an 2:216 says, “Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not.”

The At-Tawba, which is the 9^th chapter in the 81^st verse says, “Those who were left behind (in the Tabuk expedition) rejoiced in their inaction behind the back of the Messenger of Allah: they hated to strive and fight, with their goods and their persons, in the cause of Allah: they said, “Go not forth in the heat.” Say, “The fire of Hell is fiercer in heat.” If only they could understand!” The last part of chapter 4, called Mohammad quotes, “… But those who are slain in the Way of Allah,- He will never let their deeds be lost.”

This is the true expectation of devout Muslims!

Allah’s Qur’an admits to heaven based on man’s righteousness and war mongering prowess. One Hadith, according to G.J.O. Moshay, says each Muslim (especially if he had fought very well on earth for the cause of Allah), would be entitled to 500 houris, 4,000 virgins and 8,000 non-virgins -12,000 women- in his book, “Who is this Allah?” Sura 44:54, “So; and We shall join them to fair women with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes.” What kind of women? They are found in sura 55:56, “In them will be (Maidens), chaste, restraining their glances, whom no man or Jinn before them has touched.” Mohammedan heaven is a place of abundant food, wine and a marathon of sex! Even demons will have their own demoness wives!

‘According to Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, the founder of Ahmadiyya sect in Islam, the soul will give birth to another rarer entity and will resemble the life on this earth in the sense that this entity will bear a similar relationship to the soul, as the soul bears relationship with the human existence on earth. On earth, if a person leads a righteous life and submits to the will of God, his or her tastes become attuned to enjoying spiritual pleasures as opposed to carnal desires. With this, an “embyonic soul” begins to take shape’ (Remember Isaiah 64:6?).

‘The heavenly beings are referred to as devas (masculine form) and devis (feminine form). According to Jainism, there is not one heavenly abode, but several layers to reward appropriately the souls of varying degree of karmic merits’ (Wikipedia).

Karma is plainly of esotericism. It does not share the divine mind of God’s word, the Bible.

How To Get Born Again (part three)

Getting born again is God’s invention to salvage the lost souls who have a desiring heart to come back to the Creator. It is a system which has helped man to retrace his steps back to the Eden righteousness. With just one prayer all of man’s sins are wiped off: past, present and future sin are forgiven (Ephesians 1:7; Acts 3:19; Hebrews 10:18; Colossians 2:13; 1John 2:12; Isaiah 43:25).

That God had designed a reviviscent blueprint which entails a spiritual rebirth was alien to the scriptural intellectualism even of Nicodemus. Methinks the Nativity manifestation of the Incarnation is a pointer to an eventual spiritual parturition of God’s children. How is it that only the Bible reveals this soteriological truth? Only the Bible has the containerization of theological truths and what is more, it is the very Logos (Jesus Christ) who taught the possibility of a spiritual rebirth. No religious sect gives a definite doctrine on how to gain a citizenship of heaven.

“Just ensure that you keep out of evil deeds and heaven is your sure bet;” is what many traditional religions teach. It, no doubt, runs diametrically opposed to Isaiah. “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” This is the prophet’s declaration in chapter 64 verse 6, speaking the truthfulness of the mind of God. The word ‘righteousnesses’ is tsedâqâh (tsed-aw-kaw’): ‘rightness (abstractly), subjectively (rectitude), objectively (justice), morally (virtue) or figuratively (prosperity).’                                                                                      All our righteousnesses are as filthy rags

The things we pride our lives in, God judges as ‘filthy rags.’ ‘Filthy’ in Hebrew is ‛êd (ayd): ‘menstrual flux (as periodical); by implication (in plural) soiling;’ and ‘rags’ is beged (behg’-ed) ‘a covering, that is, clothing; also treachery or pillage.’ The prompting psychological energy for every act of man must have an ignition from the Holy Spirit in order to be garbed in the divinely decreed righteousness found only in the accomplished work of Christ. Imagine all the sweat that goes into all the triumphal news coverage of your philanthropic exploits being judged as ‘filthy rags’ when tended as the winning evidences before the Almighty Judge: all because Jesus Christ is not involved?

Hindu’s Jivatma

The Hindu religion believes that, “Since heavenly abodes are also tied to the cycle of birth and death, any dweller of Heaven or Hell will again be recycled to a different plane and in a different form per the karma and “maya” i.e. the illusion of Samsara. This cycle is broken only by self-realization by the Jivatma.” How many cycled people can, with all truthfulness, share their heavenly or hellish experience? The Bible says that, ”And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” (Hebrews 9:27).

According to the Book of the Dead, which reveals the ancient Egyptian religion, departed souls would undergo a literal journey to reach Heaven, along the way to which there could exist hazards and other entities attempting to deny the reaching of Heaven. Their heart would finally be weighed with the feather of truth, and if the sins weighed it down their heart was devoured. This Egyptian belief runs contrary to God’s protocol. 1Corinthians 15:52 reveals how afterlife journey takes place, “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”

Accordingly, Bahá’ís view life as a preparatory stage, where one can develop and perfect those qualities which will be needed in the next life. The key to spiritual progress is to follow the path outlined by the current Manifestation of God, which Bahá’ís believe is currently Bahá’u’lláh (the founder of Bahá’í Faith). Bahá’u’lláh wrote, “Know thou, of a truth, that if the soul of man hath walked in the ways of God, it will, assuredly return and be gathered to the glory of the Beloved.” The puzzle here is: which God? Is Christ Jesus involved?

Bahá’í’s idea of heaven

The Bahá’í teachings state that each soul can continue to progress in the afterlife, but the soul’s development is not entirely dependent on its own conscious efforts, the nature of which we are not aware, but also augmented by the grace of God, the prayers of others, and good deeds performed by others on Earth in the name of that person.

What I would need to know is this: which God is Bahá’u’lláh manifesting, Allah, Brahma or Jehovah? Bahá’u’lláh means ‘Glory of God’ and his original name is Mīrzā Ḥosayn ʿAlī Nūrī born November 12, 1817, Tehrān, Iran.

His name invokes the identity of Christ. Is he Jesus who must of necessity be involved in the salvation of the lost soul of mankind? He is not. He does not meet the spiritual requirement.   (…to be continued…)
