THE COMFORTER (one)

The Trinity met at the Cross to solve the sin question.

1)            How objective or otherwise subjective is the Entity of the comforting promise of Jesus? Does the promised one exist in palpability of existence or just an incorporeal thing? Who is the Comforter promised by the Lord Jesus when He found it necessarily expedient to go back to His celestial home?

                John 14:16-17 “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17) Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” ‘Comforter’ is the Greek paraklētos (par-ak’-lay-tos): ‘Called to one’s aid, Latin: Advocatus: as substantive, a legal assistant, advocate, the Intercessor, the Consoler, or the Comforter.’ Broken into two components of para and klētos, while para speaks of ‘proximity’, klētos gives a picture of ‘one whose appearance comes from an invitation.’ So, it is quite apropos for Jesus to tell them, “the Comforter…whom the Father will send” – invitation – of John 15:26 and the “He dwelleth with you” – proximity – of John 14:17 owing to the phenomenality of the Pentecost Day experience in the Upper Room and for the facticity of setting upon each of the one hundred and twenty and making His way into them to dwell therein forever. He had to be intelligent to have calculated the number of souls to indwell.

Charles Taze Russell (1852-1916)

                Whether it is ignorance or sheer determined crave for wrong didacticism of Scripture, the Jehovah’s Witness Society teaches that the Holy Spirit is just a mere wind. Charles Taze Russell’s (1852-1916) foundation of JW believes the Holy Spirit has no life, ergo, is not a Personage. So, what are we to make of this Scripture, “But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me” (John 15:26)? One of JW members who came to my house said, “But you know that the Bible says that inanimate things do teach of God’s existence?”

                Fine, but to let him know that he was still hooked like the captured fish out of water, I showed him John 14:26, “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” I asked the JW guys, can a mere wind, as you put it, teach omnisciently, all theological things? They could not give an answer to the ponderous profundity of my enquiry; I, therefore, proceeded with, “He must be the eternal Omniscience to know all things!” Showing them from God’s protocol, the Bible, I opened to Acts 13:2 “As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.” Is this not the Christ-promised Comforter? He is not only dwelling amongst them, He speaks words of intellectualism to their hearing ears, and also, He makes appointments of Apostleship, which is purely of the Godhead. Amen.

Cornelius and his household received the in-feeling on the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues.

                Let us do scriptural commentaries on Acts 13:2. The word ‘separate’ is aphorizō (af-or-id’-zo): ‘to appoint, set apart for some purpose.’ The pronoun ‘me’ is made up of two Greek words: moi (moy) and te (teh): while the first is ‘I, me, my’; te is an emphatic ‘not only … but; also; both … and.’ The last expression of my focus is on the verbal ‘I have called,’ proskaleomai (pros-kal-eh’-om-ahee): ‘to call to one’s self, invite, summon.’ Will a common wind use personal pronouns with emphasis, not only on the involved number, but also on the direction of its speech or especially, command – i.e. to Himself? The Holy Spirit would not have made appointments of evangelism if He is not a Personage.

                In the matter concerning the conversion of Cornelius, Acts 10:19 reads, “While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.” Categorically clear is that fact that the Holy Spirit did speak the divine words of knowledge to Peter. Pauline Second Missionary Journey with Silas met with the Holy Spirit’s intervention in Acts 16:6-7 “Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia, 7) After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not.” The forbidding acts from the Holy Spirit cannot be that of a mere subjective blowing or static air.

2)            It is a terrible thing to disobey God’s instructions. Cain saw the independence as offered by Satanism; and thinking it was a way that seemeth right, he hurled himself into perdition. Cain’s vagabondism according to Genesis 4:12, was not of physical wandering across the globe. It is understood that he remained in his Enoch City of Nod, all his cursed life, yet the first antichrist was a vagabond, vagabond in spirit, unquestionably obliterated from God’s beneficence of grace. You cannot follow God outside of His divine word.

                Sodom and Gomorrah, a true type of cosmic system of Satanism, shunned the teaching of James 1:21, reveling in the filthiness and the superfluity of naughtiness; they did not know that Lucifer was pushing them into the jail of God’s terrible anger when the enemy made for them homosexuality and lesbianism the opium of sexual satisfaction.

Idolatry comes from Satanism

                From the beginning of Adamic life man had loved to follow the Creator. The Devil knows how to get you to unfollow the LORD God. Lucifer went all out to establish religions with the malicious motive of deviation from the righteous path of the Word of God. The religions tend to wear clothes of righteousness but incessantly deny the power thereof. The Word of God is Jesus. Christ is seen in these religions but not one of them teaches John 3 verse 3. They will vehemently disagree with John 3 verse 16.

                Judas Iscariot wore a form of godliness, following Jesus Christ for three and a half years. But Judas denied himself the power of reconciliation, very much like Cain of old. God spoke to Cain in Genesis 4:7 “If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.” It was a Fatherly solution to the sin of disobedience. But Cain’s predisposition is like the proverbial hunting dog that shuns the shrill of the “Let’s go home” whistle from the hunter lord and owner; it gets momentary lost and gets into the claws and jaws of ravenous wild animals.

Judas longed to plant the treacherous kiss.

                Luke 22:20-22 20) “Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. 21) But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table. 22) And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed!” Again Adamic predisposition coming from faithlessness in the Word of God would not permit Judas to desist from his perfidious bent. How the devil in him longed to plant the treacherous kiss of devilish accomplishment on his Master’s face! Sadly, Judas Iscariot unfollowed Jesus, the Lord of soteriology.

                Even when he came to himself, it was not a true repentance he managed to offer before God, the Forgiver of sins. Judas Iscariot could only manage a “repented himself” of Matthew 27:3 the Greek for which is metamellomai (met-am-el’-lom-ahee): a mere ‘regret or remorse’. Metamellomai is in contrast to the Godly ‘repentance’ of Acts 17:30 “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:” where ‘repent’ is metanoeō (met-an-o-eh’-o): ‘to change one’s mind for better, heartily to amend with abhorrence of one’s past sins.’ Judas did not pass the true repentance test; if he did he should have had word, not with those who plotted the crucifixion of Jesus, but with the other apostles, prayed together with them, remembering that the LORD Jesus told them, “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14) If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it” (John 14:13-14).

Like sheep we must follow God, our Creator.

                You cannot follow God on your own terms; the terms and conditions must follow due process of Divine protocolary. “For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:” (Isaiah 28:10). ‘Precept’ is the Hebrew tsâv (tsav): ‘command, ordinance, oracle;’ and ‘line’ is qâv (kav): ‘a cord (as connecting), especially for measuring; figuratively a rule.’ Following God is predicated on the obedience to His Word. Amen.

“Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matt. 11:28)

FOLLOWING THE LORD GOD OF THE BIBLE (1)

Israel followed the LORD God, who led them in the Exodus

1)            In the Garden of Eden, the male Adam did not have to trek or go long distance to put food on the table. Every life’s sustaining edibility was right there in the Garden, which doubles as his home. When the installation of sin got its permeation in the fabric of humanity, owing to Adamic original disobedience, a righteous world began to experience hell. Since then Satanism had become the order of the days of living intelligence in the world: albeit spiritual, another cataclysm, a similitude of what obtained before the re-creationism of Genesis chapter one verse 3. Consequently, Lucifer, the author of sinfulness, had assumed the administrative control of our terra firma.

                The demonic change of order sends the man far away from home, in order to put food on the table and to clothe the members of his family. Whose turn is it to stay at home, is it not the woman? After all, the ‘Woman’, ‘ishshâh (ish-shaw’), essentially ‘Wife’ happens to be, according to Divine design, Adam the male’s ‘help meet’ which in Hebrew is ‛êzer (ay’-zer): ‘help, succour; one who helps.’ Now, ‛êzer has its root in ‛âzar (aw-zar’): ‘to surround, that is, protect or aid.’ If the man has to leave the home in obedience to ‘dress it and keep it’, a delegated authority must be passed onto the ‘ishshâh. Following God is sacrosanct, ergo, nonnegotiable.

The dust became a living soul; he must follow the LORD God.

                Truth be told, nothing exempts the woman from working as well to enable abundance of family wealth. That notwithstanding, should the first ever laws – dress it and keep it – of the Divinity to Adam become obsolete? God forbid, eternally extant are the laws of Divine promulgation. It is wrong for the man to seek for an excuse to jettison God’s “dress it and keep it” neither can he, for any reason, decide not to love his wife. The woman should not dare belittle her husband just because she is the family’s breadwinner, and consequently refuse to abide by the divine legislation of “wives submit yourselves unto your own husbands”. Disobedience to God’s word makes one an Antichrist, why? God’s Word is a Personage – Jesus Christ, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty, the everlasting Father.

                For the instruction of God is the eternality of the Christ, the Logos, His precepts become the elixir of intelligent life. When your prayers concerning something receive expected result, it is time to praise God for that thing all the days of your life. You must follow God; it is disastrous not to do so.

                You cannot win an election and see yourself as the god of the people. God did not answer your prayers to make you independent of His Divinity. You must continue to follow His leading word. It will be quite unfortunate for erstwhile jobless Job to find excuses for not attending Church Services, now that he finally found a very good accountancy job with a mouthwatering pay, in the name of “too much loads of work”. How can rich Job forget the LORD his God? Maybe Job should go back to joblessness.

The antediluvian miscreants had 120 years to follow God in truth and in Spirit

                For one hundred and twenty years of Noah’s nine centuries of earthly life, the antediluvian saint preached to a dying world. Followership of God is a continuous exercise. It does not come to a ceasing chapter simply because the One of our following is the Eternal Father with Whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. When God told Abraham, “Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:” what kept father Abraham in God’s direction was the spoken word out of the mouth of the Most High Jehovah. Following God is predicated on the obedience to His Word.

                “Faith”, it says somewhere, “cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17). ‘Cometh’ is not in the original Pauline script; the preposition ‘by’, preceding the first ‘hearing’, is ek (ek): ‘A primary preposition denoting origin (the point whence motion or action proceeds), from, out (of place, time or cause;’ and the second ‘by’ is dia (dee-ah’): ‘A primary preposition denoting the channel of an act; through (in very wide applications, local, causal or occasional).’ The True Object running through the hearing channel of the developed faith is the express Word of God. Abraham only heard, without seeing the mouthing Entity of those words of instruction; Abraham believed and remained unwavering throughout his twenty-five years short of two centuries earthly abode. His faithfulness made God to robe him in His righteousness. Some, we understand, did not have respect for the Word of God.

Follow Jesus, the Good Shepherd, and you will not be in want of spiritual beneficence.

The ‘help meet for him’

8)            Forbidding us to lie is the Ninth Commandment; he cannot tell you to lie. Your husband cannot decide to have sex with you through your anus. It is not any different from sodomitical lust of Satanism as Paul makes us understand in Romans 1:27, “And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.” The husband’s authority is within the limits of the Word of God.

                Channel, virtuously, all the energetic help of your femininity towards the meet of your husband’s desires, as long as those intents of his bourne are not in direct antagonism to the express Word of God. To aid your official role as the help meet for him, submission is the key for the perfection of your uxorial mission. Every one of the disciples was involved in a business or carrier. They forsook all to perfect their walk with the Master – submission. How can any wife claim to be the help meet for the husband without the required submission? Only a Jezebel of a wife jettisons submission.

Have we ever wondered why the first name given to each of the pristine parents is Adam? Before the unfortunate commission of sin, when the head of Eden Garden saw her he named her Woman: “because,” according to Scripture, “she was taken out of Man,” quite apropos. After the occurrence of the original sin, the head of man looked at the fallen wife and named her again, this time, “Eve.” Why? All living earth humans, including the Incarnation of Christ, must come from her; indeed germane. Twice she was named by her husband; pointing to his superintendency over the wife. But the Scripture says, “Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created” (Genesis 5:2). God gave each one of the first couple the same name: Adam. Why? They are expected to replicate on earth what goes on in heaven. In heaven, the Members of the Trinity agree in all things, believe in all things and know all things. The only way this can be perfectly actuated is via the wife’s obedient submission and definitely, the husband’s love to dress and keep the home. Each one of the first nine couch of “man” found in Scripture, from Genesis 1:26 through Gen 1:27; Gen 2:5; Gen 2:7; Gen 2:8; Gen 2:15; Gen 2:16; Gen 2:18 to Genesis 2:22 is the Hebraic ‘âdâm (aw-dawm’): ‘ruddy, that is, a human being (an individual or the species, mankind.’ In Genesis 2:23 the “Man” is a different ‘ı̂ysh (eesh): ‘man, male (in contrast to woman, female); specifically husband.’ As ‘ı̂ysh, man has entered into the office of the headship of the marriage.

Marriage is a missionary work. It brings heaven down to the earth. In the empyrean assizes, bearing witness, there are three in the Godhead; and on earth, representing the unity of the Trinity is the Christian marriage where the twain (male and female created He them) exhibit love and submission according to the will of Jesus, the Grand Groom of the Bride, the Church.

Don’t kill your marriage.

If you, the born again husband, should for one second, hold back the duty of love towards your wife, you are masquerading as a bastard. Try to imagine the resultant effect if Jesus Christ would not bring to consummation, the agapē of the Father’s heart: soteriology would be a mere mirage. The husband who will not adorn his wife with love is definitely an Antichrist. You must love your wife! Honestly, we do not seem to understand that our failure to appreciate the seriousness of marriage is the injection of ignorance by the unrelenting hard work of Satanism. Selah. We hardly remember that two things bring soteriological reality into actuation: the agapē of Jehovah, and the heart of submission on the part of the believing born again Christian. Let the husband and the wife ponder seriously on this facticity. Amen. If you are not making money to sustain the family – as the family provider –, something is terribly wrong with you.

Inexorably, a man who does not show love to her spouse has disqualified himself from being the husband. The woman, found wanting in obedience, has failed and cannot be said to be a help meet for him. You want to prove a point, pass the love and submission tests. Amen.

Marry according to God’s word

                The home, and all that is necessary for its conduciveness, takes paramount importance. You can marry to prove a point if you are ready to do everything to build a good home. The home takes paramountcy even before all mundane and ecclesiastical responsibilities. Amen.

Do You Have To Marry To Prove A Point? (7)

7)            The only necessary point a person has to prove in his or her entrance into the marriage institution is to show his capability of commitment to love, dress and keep the home. Love is not a feeling per se, the required love of agapē is essentially a commitment to the wife’s life. God is an astute Worker; therefore, as pertaining to the family, the husband is the real worker, whose job is ‘to dress’ the family. He is the oracle; his deeds ‘keep’ or protect the family spiritually. A true wife material must not stop in her submission to the husband. When each of the couple treats with the sacrosanctity, the expected marital instructions, then God is happy and says, “Amen,” to a joyful fulfillment of His marriage dream; the angels will come to the house and continue to bless the home with everything God sends them to deliver. You, definitely, do not need to marry to prove any point if you cannot abide by God’s marital rules.

                The concept of ‘help meet’ fingers the pointedness that by default the originality of the wife’s role makes her resolve in her heart that, “What my husband wants is what I want and I must pursue it to its logical consummation.” The goodness of attachment inherent in the found wife must readily admit of her worthlessness to the husband if she should fall short in the ‘help meet’ for him – specification of the Divinity, the Author of marriage.

The ‘help meet for him’

                As the wife, you cannot make binding laws for the family. Of course, you have every right to advise the head of the family. The truth is that, he should probably be thinking of a certain solution to a vexatious problem; the Holy Spirit, having revealed this solution to the wife, she passes it to the husband, who is so overjoyed, gives thanks to the Lord for this “help meet’ for him. The reason why the woman should not be found in an act of usurpation is this. “For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. 9) Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man. 10) For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels” (1Corinthians 11:8-10). Verse seven says, “but the woman is the glory of the man.” What does this betoken? The glorious splendour of the man, the head of the family, is worn as a toga on the woman. This glory is not her own, she wears it for the man, proving the man’s marital superiority. She is like the resplendent moon; the light given off by the lunar body is the reflection of the solar brightness.

In verse eight of 1Corinthians chapter 11, it says, “but the woman of the man” where the preposition ‘of’ is ek (ek): ‘denoting origin (the point whence motion or action proceeds), from, out (of place, time or cause; literally or figuratively; direct or remote).’ Coming from the man, in creation, she is under subjection, made for the honour of the man. This signifies that she should recognize her rank as subordinate to the man; she was made to serve as the help meet for him. The subjective ‘power’ in verse ten is exousia (ex-oo-see’-ah): ‘delegated authority (influence).’ The power comes from the husband for whom she was made. The glory and the authority comes from the husband; but there are things he is not allowed to do.

Marital bliss is Bible sourced

                Your husband cannot tell you not to pray. The Word of God has been in existence before the man, therefore, the husband cannot breathe superiority over the Word of God which categorically says, “Pray without ceasing” (1Thessalonians 5:17. He cannot tell you, “Stop going to Church” because he will be impugning Hebrews 10:25, “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;” neither can your husband tell you to stop believing the spiritual headship of Jesus: for He is the great Shepherd of the sheep, that the God of peace brought again from the dead through the blood of the everlasting covenant (Hebrews 13:20). Forbidding us to lie is the Ninth Commandment; he cannot tell you to lie. Your husband cannot decide to have sex with you through your anus. You can be the Bride of Christ.
