IS THE LORD GOD THE AUTHOR OF MORAL EVIL? (four)

(Continued from part three…)

*His credibility suffers an eternal setback.

It is said of the LORD in Hebrews 1:8-9, “But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. 9) Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.” The ‘righteousness’ of verse 8 is: euthutēs (yoo-thoo’-tace): ‘rectitude.’ And the ‘righteousness’ of verse nine is: dikaiosunē (dik-ah-yos-oo’-nay): ‘equity (of character or act); specifically (Christian) justification.’  The resultant effect of the incontestable rectitude of Father and Son makes THEM the eternal lights. “And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof” [Revelation 21:23].

*He, on moral ground, loses His adjudicatory stance of being the ‘Ĕlôhı̂ym.

One of the meanings of ‘Ĕlôhı̂ym is ‘magistrate’. God’s guilt will rob Him of all moral justifications to try anybody. His insistence on judging wrongdoers will only give Him the evil persona of a sadistic tyrant. A guilty judge has no rectitude of any moral standing to try any offender. He must vacate the bench. God will forever be the good KING. Why? The good Book says in Psalm 110:1, “A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.” All enemies of righteousness must come to judgment. The sinless Jehovah cannot be one of the condemnable lots. Why His righteous holiness is eternally a certainty is found in Psalm 45:6, which says, “Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.”

*Philosophy, and not His word of the Bible, becomes the Lord’s protocol

Philosophy of human ruminations is as unfounded, and as it is ephemera. Having successfully carried out the religionification of the Catholicism, the Romish Church taught, unequivocally, a Scripture deficiency, which lays an erroneous claim on the Church’s authorisation to emend the eternal words of the Bible. A retrieval of the rest, from ‘heavy laden’ religious chores, promised by the Lord Jesus, is what popery has unleashed on the Church. The resultant effect of religious importations into a global Roman Catholicism opened the doors for the philosophical Humanism birthed by Brunetto Latini (c. 1220-94) of Italian origin.

If man, according to Latini’s Humanism, is the god of himself, and as a matter of scriptural fact an individual cannot save himself, then Latini’s humanistic doctrine gets man plunged into spiritual stagnation for onward translation to hellish abode. Humanism, according to Livio Dictionary is “1. the denial of any power or moral value superior to that of humanity; the rejection of religion in favour of a belief in the advancement of humanity by its own efforts 2. a philosophical position that stresses the autonomy of human reason in contradistinction to the authority of the Church.”

Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (1770-1831)

Hegelianism of Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (1770-1831), German philosopher whose three-stage-process of dialectical reasoning, adopted by Karl Marx came with its own confusion. Hegelianism is the system of logic and philosophy which can be summed up by the dictum that “the rational alone is real”, i.e. all reality is capable of being expressed in rational categories.

Hegelian dialectic is an interpretive method in which the contradiction between a proposition (thesis) and its antithesis is resolved at a higher level of truth (synthesis). Hegelianism makes God the Father the thesis; theoretically, He (the Father) died at the incarnation of Jesus (the antithesis); and at His death on the cross, the Holy Spirit becomes the synthesis of Hegelian dialecticism.

Man’s philosophy has managed to vitiate God’s, the Creator’s protocol. Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche (1844–1900), a German, worked himself through the Hegelian dialectic and the end result was in his book, “The Madman,” where he surmised, “God is dead!” Nietzsche, together with Kierkegaard, is believed to have co-founded existentialism: ‘a chiefly 20th century philosophical movement embracing diverse doctrines but centering on analysis of individual existence in an unfathomable universe and the plight of the individual who must assume ultimate responsibility for acts of free will without any certain knowledge of what is right or wrong or good or bad.’ Fatalism, predominant in the Orient, is the philosophical doctrine that all events are predetermined so that man is powerless to alter his destiny.

Rid your mind of unscriptural thoughts. Get born again. Say this simple prayer, believing it with all your heart. Say:

“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”

IS THE LORD GOD THE AUTHOR OF MORAL EVIL? (three)

(Continued from part two…)

3)            The Bible says, “God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man.”  God is too holy to be tempted into enticing us to do bad things. The reason why God cannot lie is simply because He is inherently truthful from eternity past. No evil is found in Him. For this reason He will sit in heaven to judge Lucifer, the fallen angels, demons and hell bound humanity. This is one thought provoking question I should expect from human philosophical conjecture. Why did He harden Pharaoh’s heart, as if Pharaoh was not given an opportunity to change?

Pharaoh heard the word of God and saw God’s miracles, yet, he refused a quiet and peaceful settlement from the Divinity. God does not play with His word. He guards it jealously. Psalm 138:2, “I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.” The worst affront is disobedience to the Word of God. How can God be the Personification of love and decide to mess with our lives? It does not add up theologically according to scripture. Amen!

Lucifer accused of moral evil before Jehovah

Dangers of its portentousness:

*It makes God the Author of moral evil.

Some will argue that even if God decides to commit any crime He will go scot free and nothing will happen, simply because none can challenge His will. Just as He cannot lie (Titus 1:2), it is with this understanding we should see His infallibility and upright integrity. God cannot, and will not be guilty of any evil act. 1John 4:8, “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” If God, according to this verse, is essentially love, how can He do or solicit evil? After all He, as love, “Doth not behave itself unseemly,…thinketh no evil” [1Corinthians 13:5]. Let us look at 1John 4:8 where we have ‘loveth’ which is: agapaō (ag-ap-ah’-o): ‘Perhaps from ἄγαν agan (much); to love (in a social or moral sense). {Agapaō‘ is the verb form of agapē ̄}. God’s love, from the understanding of agapē, is unconditional. ‘Knoweth’ is: ginōskō (ghin-oce’-ko) ‘to learn to know, come to know (absolutely).’

The knowledge of God comes from showing true, unconditional love. Now, the auxiliary ‘is’ in Greek, is: esti (es-tee’) [Third person singular present indicative of eimi (i-mee’) to be, to exist]; he (she or it) is.’ Agapē (ag-ah’-pay) is ‘love,’ meaning: ‘brotherly love, affection, good will, love, benevolence love feasts.’ What does John mean by saying, “God is love?” The Greek definitions clearly means that, God’s existence is nothing but pure, true, unconditional Agapē.

Lucifer, the Devil, is the father of lies: author of evil.

*It makes God as guilty as Lucifer.

The LORD God “Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth”[1Corinthians 13:6]. The Devil will have every right to his evil perpetration if God should commit just one tiny evil. Lucifer’s defence will be, “The One of the throne is not less guilty!” Jesus went about doing only good deeds. The Devil could not find one evil thing in Jesus (John 14:30). God is, will never be guilty of any wrongful act. Holiness is of the LORD God. God, I thank You so much for being too good and too smart to commit any blundersome act. Hallelujah!

For I, the LORD, Am Holy

*God loses holiness, becoming a sinner.

Jesus was categorically pellucid when He touched on the perfection of His holiness: “……for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me” [John 14:30]. God must approach the bench of equity with clean hands. His blood must remain sinless to the perfection of soteriological mandate. He must continue in this holiness to be truly God. One single, tiny inconsequentially looking sin will destroy all chances of getting another person born again. The Book of Leviticus chapter 20 in verse 26 reads, “And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.” The Apostle, in 1Peter 1:15 enjoins, “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation.” HIS holiness will certainly not allow Him to as much as think evil. Amen!

IS THE LORD GOD THE AUTHOR OF MORAL EVIL? (two)

God is irreproachable of Adamic fall

(Continued from part one…)

2)            “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” [James 1:17]. Evil does not emanate from God. Remember that at the end of every day of creation God’s assessment was “good.” And a basking in the euphoria of divine accomplishment was the well-deserved rest of the first seventh day of this present world. The book of James 1:14 explains that, “But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.” The words ‘drawn away’ is exelkō (ex-el’-ko): ‘to drag forth, that is, (figuratively) to entice (to sin).’ Man, not God, is the true author of his evil predicament. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” [Romans 6:23].

Life eternal, ‘zoe’ in Greek, is attributable to God. The only way God can serve a death penalty is by a creative act of bârâ’ (create or call forth out of nothing). Evil is absolutely alien to God’s characteristic goodness. Death hides nowhere in Him, in whom was life; the life of which was the light of men [John 1:4]. God is the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world [John 1:9]. God definitely tries people; but He does not tempt anyone into destruction. James 1:13, “Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man.” While (from the Apostle’s teaching) the ‘temptation’ of verse 12 is peirasmos (pi-ras-mos’) –in this context- it is: ‘an experiment, attempt, trial, a putting to proof (by experiment [of good]),’ the ‘tempted’ of the 13th verse is: peirazō (pi-rad’-zo): ‘entice i.e. solicitation (to sin).’ Apostle James wants us to understand that peirasmos is a probatory act allowed by God for a reward e.g. Abraham and his trials (not temptations). Trials are meant to bring out the Godly best out of you, in the final analysis. Peirazō of verse 13, i.e., an enticement to sin, is never in God’s character. He will not bring an ineludible necessity to sinning on you. He will never be an accessory to any spiritual crime. Amen!

Islam believes that the deterministic proclivity of God’s creationism had made Him to pen down what will eventuate in the life of every individual –destiny, they call it. The first question engendered by this belief is, were you there when the Creator was doing that (documentational preparation of your future earthly life)? Was anybody aware of it when an unpalatable omen was scribbled against his –about to live– life? Why would God decide that a particular man, before his parturition, must die peacefully; but for this woman before she was born, was tagged with a fatal death? Childlessness for some; others must live impecunious lives and die so. Whimsically giddy. God is not sadistic: for that is what necessitarianism (on the contrary) teaches concerning Divine operations.

Divine documentation, kept in heaven, is believed to be in force, controlling every activity on terra firma. “In fact,” you will hear some people, “you did accent to every befalling predicament that was written concerning you (in heaven) before you came to the world.” Islam and its fatalism expects you to accept whatever happens. God, according to their fatalistic proclivity, is responsible for rape (it was written against your name after all –in heaven). Armed robbery, prostitution, backbiting, faithlessness etc. are God’s handiwork? What moral justification will He possess, after having planted these ills in man’s life, to sit in celestial adjudication? None! I am yet to come across any individual to testify of his heavenly existence before his eventual birth into our world. Adam and all of us, his descendants, began our lives here on earth. “Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me” [Psalm 51:5]. You cannot be fashioned in heaven and possess a sinful nature. The next scripture is Christ’s quotation, “Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father” [John 6:46]. This deterministic dogmatism can never be from the mind of God. Satanism, most certainly, is its concoction.

“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. IS THE LORD GOD THE AUTHOR OF MORAL EVIL? (one)

THE LORD AS A RESISTER OF BALAAM

Mohammedan necessitarianism has found a strong foothold in human philosophical existence such that fatalistic beliefs have taken complete control of man’s reasoning. Man forgets that his mentation is governed by only two external forces of good or evil (and never ever from the two: for Amos 3:3 quizzes, “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”). Is Jehovah the author of moral evil? To most people, especially faithful Moslems, the Creator does all things both good and evil. How true is this philosophy?

A scripture an unwary reader of the Bible is very likely to quote in an argumental defence is Isaiah 45:7 “I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.” Does it not look so convincingly true that God Almighty should be very likely held responsible for these global evil acts? If, as He has by His very Self asserted, God formed, created and made these things He, from the English reading, will find it an impossibility to wriggle out of culpability! But to start with the gospel truth, God, the Creator can never be culpable of any evil. It is absolutely impossible.

The Hebrew interpretations are the needed solutions to a pellucid understanding of Isaiah 45:7. The word ‘form’ is yâtsar (yaw-tsar’): ‘to mould into a form; especially as a potter; figuratively to determine (that is, form a resolution).’ Bârâ’ (baw-raw’) is the Hebrew for ‘create’ and it means: ‘to create, shape, form (out of nothing). ‘Make’ is ‛âśâh (aw-saw’): ‘to do, fashion, accomplish, make (out of an existing material’). The technicalities involved in these definitions bring the true import of God’s asseveration. Amen. Before I go into the exegesis of the subject let me delve into the historical background leading to this verse.

The prophetic utterance of Isaiah began, in the first verse, with, “Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;” about one and a half centuries before King Cyrus came into being, to disabuse his religious belief concerning the true Supreme Being, Jehovah God. He, Jehovah, is the One who controls creation and not the ill-conceived Oriental belief which teaches that there are two coexistent Oromasden and Ahrimanen, ever struggling with each other, where Oromasden is the deity responsible for light or good, and Ahrimanen as the god who creates darkness or evil. God gave this prophecy to assert His sovereignty over both.

As the first Potter, God formed the sun and the radiation of it. God said that to prove His eternal supremacy over their universal veneration of Nimrod, the heathenish sun god, Baal. Of truth is the fact that the apprehended Truth is the Liberator (John 8:32)! ‘Make’ and ‘create’ are slightly different, technically. When God said, “I make peace,” the information is simply that He brought it out of Himself: the LORD God is an Existing Object. Is Jehovah not the epitome of peace? One of His names is the Prince of peace. In the creation of darkness it has to be called forth out of nothing, which the Greek Septuagint calls ex nihilo. “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all” [1John 1:5]. Peace, the LORD God gives to His children, Israelites, contextually, and to Christians, by extension. It is for the same reason God must bârâ’ evil: to serve as punishment. Errors are attractions of negativity. Lucifer creates nothing.

Why would God give a restrictive law of “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die” [Genesis 2:17], if not to save them from the consequences of the negativity of erratic ill. Another prevalent truth stems from the facticity that Eden is God’s home; and rules must guard every abode, not forgetting that the entire earth is the LORD’s. God made us free moral agents as attested to in Genesis 2:16 “And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:” The same God expects us to follow His revealed will. Your refusal to honour His word will place you before His celestial assizes. God’s irreproachability, having told man what to do, is evident.

UNFORGIVING JEHOVAH? (VI)

”Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?”

(…continued from part five…)

VI)         Judas was bent on this heinous mission of betrayal. I, honestly, do not see the reason why he should not have allowed table manners (since they were eating) to instruct him that wanting more money (having stolen from the ministry’s bag) is tantamount to gluttony, punishable by stoning, according to Divine Law of Moses. The incorrigibility stance of him had wedged stones in his dark heart to enable him to allow the reverberation of “but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born” in his Israelite mind.

Guilty of filthy lucre!

The offending word ‘betray’ is paradidōmi (par-ad-id’-o-mee) which has a definition of: ‘to give a city or person into another’s hands, (according to Herodotus) esp. as an hostage, to deliver up, surrender, (Latin) dedere, (Herodotus), (Thucydides), etc.; also, with notion of treachery, to betray.’ Judas did not know that he was embarking on a treacherous escapade against the LORD, his God. The truth is that after Judas realized his wrong doing, the Bible says of him in Matthew 27:3 to have “repented himself” the Greek of which is metamellomai (met-am-el’-lom-ahee) meaning: ‘self-pity or regret;’ which is quite different from metanoeō (met-an-o-eh’-o) ‘to think differently or afterwards that is reconsider (morally to feel  compunction)’ of Matthew 3:2. Metanoeō or metanoia (met-an’-oy-ah) –of 2Peter 3:9– is the ‘repentance’ that leads to salvation.

But without faith it is impossible to please him (God): (Hebrews 11:6)

Faithlessness and disobedience are opprobrious oppugnance to the persona of His awed Deity. These flaws of human proclivity prevent God from His providential role. To those who have been affected by the psyche of Satanism, it is an occasion to thank these human flaws which, according to their thinking, aid the calibration of God’s strength, ergo, His weakness as well. God? Weak!? It can only be a brew from the elements of turpitude! ‘Almighty’ in Greek is pantokratōr (pan-tok-rat’-ore) –which comes from pas (pas) ‘all, any, every, the whole’ & kratos (krat’-os): ‘force, strength;’– and it means: ‘he who holds sway over all things; the ruler of all.’ The opprobry of our faithlessness does not rob God of His dignity. It only informs Him of the choice of our moral agency. The LORD God is a Gentleman!

The title ‘Almighty’ shows up 57 times in the Bible. 48 times in the Old Testament and 9 times in the New Testament (all begin with a capital letter) and each one is in connection with none other than JEHOVAH God. That any person will, from whatever perception, dump or smear the Living Jehovah God with the persona of asthenia is not only blasphemous and aberrational, it is a didacticism from the philosophical dyslogy of Satanism. As the Almighty, He does not just know all omnisciently, His nonpareil ubiquity is so phenomenal and His omnipotence is magnificently awe inspiring! How can any fool allow his audacity to trace even an infinitesimal debilitation to this God?

The logical reasoning of fallen man will lead his dementia to a discovery of circumstantially known etiolated breach of God’s nonpareil power. They have no idea who the LORD God truly is. “It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: 23) That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity” [Isaiah 40:22-23]. If doubt is an element of faith, as propounded by Tillich, it follows that God could probably had betrayed an element of doubt when creating the world by His faith! Beware of these misleading philosophers!

Verses 25 & 26 “To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One. 26) Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.” The erudition of the Old Testament prophet continues his writing in Isaiah 40:28-31 “Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29) He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30) Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31) But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

God, from the above verses, is this great, powerful and omniscient yet He found it expedient to come to our world to save erring mankind! Pauline insight into Divine protocol scripts in Romans 5:8 pointing out that, But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. How unforgiving can God be? Selah!

Judas, you brought this on yourself!

UNFORGIVING JEHOVAH? (V)

Samson, the reckless Judge of Israel.

(…continued from part four…)

V)           If God had not an intention to use Samson to destroy Philistine, his office as a Judge in Israel would have been an absolute waste! Let us see what we have in Judges 14:3 “Then his father and his mother said unto him, Is there never a woman among the daughters of thy brethren, or among all my people, that thou goest to take a wife of the uncircumcised Philistines? And Samson said unto his father, Get her for me; for she pleaseth me well.” Samson had got it all wrong from day number one, if you ask me. A national revival did commence in Israel with the putting away of strange wives even to the inclusion of children born into such anomalous families in Ezra 10:3! That was done in conferment with Deuteronomy 7:3. Tragic was the end of Samson, of whom is the true historical recording of the world’s strongest individual ever.

David gripped by the lust of the flesh

Did David not know what he was getting himself into? Part one of his evil deed is mentioned here: 2Samuel 11:2-4 And it came to pass in an eveningtide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king’s house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon. 3) And David sent and enquired after the woman. And one said, Is not this Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite? 4) And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her; for she was purified from her uncleanness: and she returned unto her house.”

“…and hast taken his wife to be thy wife…”

This is part two of Davidic escapade. And it came to pass in the morning, that David wrote a letter to Joab, and sent it by the hand of Uriah. 15) And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him, that he may be smitten, and die” (2Sam 11:14-15). Whose deed would not face any trial? This is David’s. 2Samuel 12:9 Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.”

 David, you’re guilty as charged!

The consequence of every ill act is an attendant sentence. David’s are found in 2Samuel 12:10, “Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife;” and in 2Samuel 12:14 Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.” Guilty, most definitely, was David, as charged. His first act was against the law of Exodus 20:17 “Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.”

Thou shalt not commit adultery -with Bathsheba

Exodus 20:14 “Thou shalt not commit adultery.” David had carnal knowledge of Bathsheba, the legal wife of, not just another man, but a dutiful soldier, currently fighting for the glory of Israel, of which David is the king! Ironic! Exodus 20:13 says, Thou shalt not kill.” David wrote, edited and directed the plot that sniffed out the life of an innocent Uriah! Exodus 20:15, “Thou shalt not steal.” One of the definitions of ‘taken’ in 2Samuel 12:10, which is lâqach (law-kakh’) means ‘seize’ which implies the use of force. Sleeping with another man’s wife is nothing short of purloining. Murdering her husband with the intention of marrying her is theft as well.

His heart attitude was the bane of Judas’ destruction.

The heart attitude of Judas, which he could not manage, destroyed him. Matthew 26:21-24 “And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.”  22)“And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I? 23) And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me. 24) The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.”
