IS THERE A CURSE ON AFRICA? [2]

Simon of Cyrene: An African who must take the gospel to the whole world.

(…continues from part one…)

2)            Cyrene is in North Africa, precisely in Libya. Cyrene, by interpretation, is ‘a wall’. God’s protective benediction placed Ham in His Divine calendar, serving as a wall of protective preservation. Simon means ‘hearing’ or ‘heard’. Though seemingly under curse, the progenies of Ham will hear the gospel and the vagrant African remnants will stand up to preach to a dying world this end time because God has heard the prayers of “…let Thy kingdom come…”

Shem is the progenitor of Abraham – the grandfather of Jacob –. God Himself gave the name Israel to Jacob, who fathered the twelve tribes of Israel. Japheth is the progenitor of Europe. And Ham? He is the father of Africa and some nations of Western Asian people. Where is the largest percentage of the Third World nations from? Is it not of the Hamish progenies? A coincidental stance? Do not bank on it! I quote from Keil and Delitzsch Bible Commentary on the Old Testament concerning the resultant effects of Noah’s curse: “The Phoenicians, along with the Carthaginians and the Egyptians, who all belonged to the family of Canaan, were subjected by the Japhetic Persians, Macedonians, and Romans; and the remainder of the Hamitic tribes either shared the same fate, or still sigh, like the negroes, for example, and other African tribes, beneath the yoke of the most crushing slavery.”

wounded for our transgressions, bruisedfor our iniquities [Isaiah 53:5]

It is very easy to say, “But Jesus did remove the curse of our sinfulness from us on the cross of Calvary.” That is very true. But it is also an undeniable fact that even for the forgiven soul the consequences of past deeds do tend to rear up the ugliness of their heads. A husband committed an adulterous act. He begged his wife. The wife forgave him. But four months down the line of time, the second culprit, the Madam’s maid, began to experience the protrusion of the belly. Yes, adultery has been forgiven; but the natural consequence of an erroneous deed is another bone of contention. Reuben definitely earned the epithetic ‘excellency of disgnity’ of Genesis 49:3. He made sure that Joseph was not killed, suggesting the pit hurl (Genesis 37:21, 22 & 29). What is more? Reuben pledged his two sons to assure Jacob, their father that he would bring Benjamin back to him. He showed true remorse when Joseph took them through harrowing experience in Egypt. But because thou wentest up to thy father’s bed; then defiledst thou it; the dying progenitor’s verdict consequentially, was, thou shalt not excel.” As Jacob’s son, Reuben received an acknowledgement of one of the tribes of Israel.

It says that “Japheth shall dwell in the tents of Shem.” While Japheth means ‘enlarged’, Shem is defined as, ‘name’ or ‘fame.’ The word ‘tent’ is ‘ôhel (o’-hel): ‘a tent (as clearly conspicuous from a distance).’ The next word ‘enlarge’ is pâthâh (paw-thaw’): ‘to be spacious, be open, be wide.’ I believe this can be seen in variety of exegeses. I see a very profound explanation of this verse is in this wise: Shem is the progenitor of the Israel that hoisted the name of Jehovah Jesus, the Saviour of fallen Adam. The ‘fame’ of the LORD God and His salvific project, the accomplished business of the Lamb’s perfection – when sin was atoned for – was first published by Israel of Shem. The business is the proclamation of the word of God. Israel went from a community to another; then from the land of Israel to the land of the Gentiles: for does it not read, “… to the Jew first, and to the Gentile” [Romans 1:16].

Shem, having successfully preached the gospel to the Japhetic Gentiles and Japheth had got born again, the two sons of Noah are found conspicuously dwelling in the tent or the tabernacle of the Lord God.

When Japheth took the same word of God – for it cannot be in any way different from one person to another – there was a huge thirst and hunger for the glorious word of salvation. The Book was not only very voluminous, it was an arduous task making just the New Testament part of the Book. Necessity, the mother of invention, moved Japhetic Europe to invent the printing press. Voilà! Millions of the Bibles run in rapid circulation. Japheth, according to his name, enlarged the word of God universally.

Horus, Egyptian solar god, is of Ham.

Ham, all the while, had been satisfying himself with the worship of variety of gods. Africa busied herself with the myriads of mythical deities. In the expansive drive of Europe, the progeny of Japheth, through seafaring brought the gospel to Africa of Ham, the son of Noah. Ham means ‘warm, hot’. The curse must not go directly to Ham. Why? Ham has his own calendar of divine timing for the proclamation of the word of Adamic salvation. Check this out. You will find out that Africa is the hottest in this end of time propagation of the gospel of atonement. Great teachers of the Word abound in the land of Ham. It is the Divine turn of Ham to preach till the rapture experience. Amen. Satan understands these things, so, he must do all he can to make it very difficult and if possible, outright impossible to continue Divine mandate according to God’s calendar in regard to Hamish duty in the business of the heavenly Father.

You must be born again to be free from Divine condemnation. Pray the sinners’ prayer. Say:

“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”

IS THERE A CURSE ON AFRICA? [1]

The entire land of human habitation situated under the solar glare is, without controversy, under curse. Six thousand years of Adamic perverse, malice aforethought ways against God’s will is the resultant effects under which our world is wreathing. It is absolutely correct to blame the political ineffectiveness of Africa on bad leadership. There is another huge angle to the African failure.

Why does this very world wreathe in calamitous trends today? The Bible has all the answers.     Adam and his wife sinned; they should be destroyed; but check out what God did: “And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life” [Genesis 3:17], making Adam an indirect carrier of the curse.

Minus Cain – the one I call the progenitor of the antediluvian miscreants – the first ten progenitors of the antediluvian age – those l call antediluvian saints – gave birth to biological sons and daughters, save the last one, Noah. The first nine – Adam, Seth, Enos, Cainan, Mahalaleel, Jared, Enoch, Methuselah and Lamech – according to the Bible records, “begat sons and daughters”. Noah fathered, biologically, only three sons: Shem, Japheth and Ham.

After the Great Deluge, Noah, the progenitor of this present earth’s population, sacrificed unto the LORD God, Who blessed Noah, his wife, three sons, and the wives of his sons, eight in all. Genesis 9:1 “And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.” It was a re-enactment of Genesis 1:28. “And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered” (Genesis  9:2). You cannot curse whoever God blesses.

Inebriated father Noah

Noah, mistakenly, got himself drunk with the juicy liquid of the vine. Unconsciously he threw himself into nakedness. Ham, who was probably with his son, Canaan, saw the drunken nakedness, and made a huge, offensive fun of it.

Noah woke up from the sordid experience which flowed from the inebriant grapes; but knowing what Ham did. Noah could not curse Ham – he had been blessed already by the divine pronouncement of the Most High – so what could he do? The Bible says of Noah in Genesis 9:25-27 “And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. 26) And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. 27) God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.”

The fall of Adam’s race

The similarity of this occurrence is when Adam sinned against the LORD God and He would not place the curse of Adamic perversion on Adam directly. Genesis 3:17 “And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;” simply because the LORD God had already blessed Adam: Genesis 1:28 “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”

If God had placed a direct curse on Adam, it would have been ominous in certain ways. A negation of God’s infallibility, pertaining to the Logos, would have stood to challenge the validity of God’s benediction. It would have meant that Jehovah God, either did not think well before blessing them, or did not make use of His foreknowledge; or maybe God did not truly know the future. Jesus would not have had the enablement to subdue death. God’s benediction says: “and subdue it – i.e. the earth. Jesus came to the earth as a man. It must be an indirect curse, so that, one day Enos and the antediluvian saints would have the legality to “call upon the name of the LORD.”

Ham’s gospel participation

“Jesus had been sentenced to crucifixion. He was carrying the cross and stumbled. A man named Simon from Cyrene was pulled from the crowd by the soldiers to carry the cross for Jesus. The story is in Mark in the New Testament in the Bible. The Bible Art Library is a collection of commissioned biblical paintings. During the late 1970s and early 1980s, under a work-for-hire contract, artist Jim Padgett created illustrations for 208 Bible stories encompassing the entire Bible from Genesis through Revelation. There are over 2200 high-quality, colorful, and authentic illustrations. The illustrations are high quality, biblically and culturally accurate, supporting the reality of the stories and bringing them to life. They can be used to enhance communication of Bible stories in printed, video, digital, and/or audio forms.”

A direct curse could render the “call upon the name of the LORD” ineffective for lack of spiritual legality. The Messianic connectivity to Ham’s involvement came to ocular perception in Matthew 27:31-32 “And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him. 32) And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.” Cyrene is the Greek Kurēnaios (koo-ray-nah’-yos), meaning: ‘a native of Cyrene; a Cyrenaean, that is, inhabitant of Cyrene.’

UNVEILING THE SECOND MEMBER OF THE GODHEAD [ten]

“…lo, great multitude, which no man could number…worshipped the LAMB” [Revelation 7:9].

(…continues from part 9…)

10]          Let us look at the word ‘partakers’ of Hebrews 2:14. It is koinōneō (koy-no-neh’-o): ‘to have or do in common with, have a share of or take part in a thing with another.’ Adamic humanity shares in common the palpability of fleshy nature of a body-covering. When it comes to Jesus, the Greek word for ‘took part’ is metecho (met-e’-chō): ‘1. to share or participate. 2. (by implication) to belong to. 3. (by extension) to eat or drink (thus partaking and belonging). 4. (as a general life lesson) make distinction between whom you will and will not eat and drink.’ Jesus Christ, the Lord from heaven, an uncreated Being, merely participated in the fleshly nature of Adamic corporeality. Christ wore the humanity of Jesus, the son of Mary, as a man wears his clothing. Christ needed to become a human being to save Adam from the annihilating sinful nature. Remember what it says in John 1:14 that “the WORD was made flesh” and I explained that the ‘made’ is actually ginomai, meaning ‘become’.

Who is the Isaiah 9:6 ‘Prince of Peace’? He is the controlling Personage in all the days of the Messianic rule of one thousand years: “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. 7) And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. 8) And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den. 9) They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. 10) And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious” (Isaiah 11:6-10). Psalm 72:7 “In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.” 2Corinthians 5:18-19 “And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19) To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” Colossians 1:20-21 “And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. 21) And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled.”

Peace that passes all understanding is what to expect from the Prince of peace. For an unprecedented whole millennium, the LORD Jesus will sit on His throne of righteousness in administration of perfect peace which none other can give other than ‘which is, and which was, and which is to come,’ Lord Jesus, the Almighty. For further reading go to: Psalm 72:3; Isaiah 53:5; Psalm 85:10; Daniel 9:24-25; Micah 5:2-5; Luke 2:12-14; John 14:27; John 14:27; Acts 10:36; Romans 5:1-10; 2Corinthians 5:19; Ephesians 2:14-18; Hebrews 7:2-3.

The grand Apokalupsis

The grand Apokalupsis [Revelation] of the Lord Jesus is found in the last book of the Bible. Revelation 1:1-2 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: 2) Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.” The risen Christ appeared to John on the island of Patmos, where he was confined. The story is that the Roman government had tried to execute him without any success, so, the island became his jail of confinement. Then, in verse eight of Revelation, Jesus said, I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”

“Aleph to tau” is the common expression of the Jews to denote ‘the totality of all things.’ Aleph is the first Hebrew letter alphabetically and tau is the last letter. John had to use the Greek letters since he was writing in Greek. ‘Beginning and ending’ denote perpetuity. While the alpha and the omega denote the Causer of all causes, beginning and the ending point to the fact that the Speaker has an existence from eternity to eternity. ‘Lord’ in this verse is the Hebraic God, Jehovah. Old manuscripts render ‘Lord’ as ‘Lord God’ or ‘God.’ The title ‘Almighty’ is the Greek pantokrator (pan-to-kra’-tōr) ‘the all-ruling, i.e. God (as absolute and universal sovereign).’ Jesus is revealed in this verse as the pantokrator who created all things: some were brought into existence ex nihilo – without existing materials. Pantokrator essentially makes Jesus very God of very God. Amen.

UNVEILING THE SECOND MEMBER OF THE GODHEAD [nine]

(…continues from part 8…)

9]            Concerning His ‘name’ in Isaiah 9:6, Isaiah 7:14 unveils, “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” It reads in one of His pre-incarnate manifestations when He visited the home of Manoah, before the birth of Samson, in the Book of Judges 13:18 “And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Why askest thou thus after my name, seeing it is secret?” The word ‘secret’ is pil’ı̂y (pil-ee’): ‘wonderful, incomprehensible, extraordinary;’ and taking the definition of ‘seeing,’ wᵉ (wi), meaning ‘indeed’, into cognizance, ‘seeing It is secret’ should be defined as ‘absolutely and supremely wonderful’ and this cannot but be the name of the Most High. Matthew 1:23 “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”  1Timothy 3:16 “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”

As our ‘Counsellor’ of Isaiah 9:6, the prophecy said, “And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD: 13) Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both” (Zechariah 6:12-13). Jesus told His disciples in Luke 21:14-15, “Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: 15) For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.” 1Corinthians 1:30 “But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:” Colossians 2:2-3 “That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 3) In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Read as well, John 1:16.

In Zechariah 6:13 the ‘Counsellor’ is at once the King and the Priest after the order of Melchizedek – without a beginning and no ending of His Majestic sacerdotalism due to the fact of His eternality. The ubiquity of Jesus is captured in Luke 21:15. Who can give wisdom to the hearts of several people in diverse locations save the Most High? Jesus containerizes the entire wisdom and knowledge of God, ergo, He knows all things. There is no gainsaying the fact that only an entity of divinity can be made to us: wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption found in 1Corinthians 1:30.

Jesus is the ‘Mighty God’ of Isaiah 9:6. Psalm 45:3 & 6 “Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.”  Verse 6 “Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.”  John 1:1-3 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2) The same was in the beginning with God. 3) All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”  Romans 9:4-5, “Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; 5) Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.”  Titus 2:13 “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;” See Isaiah 45:24-25; Psalm 50:1; Jeremiah 23:5-6; Hebrews 1:8; and 1John 5:20.

The 45th Psalm sings, most definitely, of the Christ, where He is aptly referred to as ‘most mighty’, wielding glorious majesty, whose throne is eternal. God the Father, sighting the Christ, addressed Jesus Christ, saying, “Thy throne, O God” simply because Christ is very God of very God. Jesus is the soon coming God and Saviour.

Does the Scripture agree with ‘the everlasting’ nature of His ‘Fatherhood’ found in Isaiah 9:6? Proverbs 8:23 “I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.” Hebrews 2:13-14 “And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me. 14) Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;” Further reading: Isaiah 18:8 and 53:10. ‘Set up’ of Proverbs 8:23 is the Hebrew nacak (naw-sak’):1. to pour out. 2. (especially) to pour out a libation. 3. (by analogy) to anoint a king. 4. (also) to cast (metal).’ The Word of God, being a Personage of the Godhead, had been anointed for the mediatorial office of the Christ. The Holy Spirit, in the divine agreement with the Father, had poured forth the unguent of divine functionality on the Second Member of the Divinity in the long eternality of time before anything was brought into existence. This is what ‘set up’ means.

THE WORD OF GOD

(…continues from part 7…)

8]

The ‘Son’ is revealed in John 3:13 “And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.” John 3:16-17, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” Conclusion of His Sonship is in 1John 4:10-14 “Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 13) Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. 14) And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.”

“The government shall be upon HIS shoulders”

Of the Isaiah 9:6 ‘government’ of Jesus, there are some verses. Jeremiah 23:5-6 “Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. 6) In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.” Zechariah 9:9 “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.” Matthew 28:18-20 “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

“…a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom” [Hebrews 1:8]

Ephesians 1:20-22 “Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21) Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22) And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,” and Psalm 110:1-4 “The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. 2) The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. 3) Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth. 4) The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.” Confer Isaiah 22:21-22; Psalm 2:6-12; Zechariah 6:12-13; Matthew 11:27; 1Corinthians 15:25 and Revelation 19:16.

The Possessor of the sceptre of righteousness

In Jeremiah 23 verse 6, the BRANCH, that is Jesus Christ, is revealed as The LORD Our Righteousness. ‘LORD’ in capitals is always the divine name of the God of the Bible, JEHOVAH, meaning ‘self-existing GOD’ i.e. ONE who is, by HIS own power. If the Christ is, by His own power, it, therefore, is crystal clear that He was never a being of creationism. Very God of very God is the Lord Jesus in divine revelation.

Zechariah 9:9 calls Him the KING of Jerusalem. Jerusalem is a representation of Israel, God’s own people, where the LORD God is their King, under the theocratic economy. As the God of Israel, the Christ is Jehovah Jesus. He comes with ‘salvation’, which in Hebrew is yasha` (yaw-shah’): ‘1. (properly) to be open, wide or free from captivity. 2. (by implication) to be safe. 3. (causatively) to rescue or succor.’ This kind of salvation is spiritual and only God can administer it.

In Matthew 28:18-20, three things: omnipotence, co-equality with the Father and ubiquity are revealed concerning Him. His authority transcends the terra firma of humanity, it includes heaven itself. This means angelic host and the elders whose seats form a semicircle around the celestial throne bow down to Jesus’ authority. The baptism formula evokes the presence of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; and this is the Trinity. As a Member of the Trinity, Jesus Christ is co-equal with the Father in His Divinity. His ubiquity is seen in the fact that wherever the disciples go across the universe, He is with each one of them at the same time.

UNVEILING THE SECOND MEMBER OF THE GODHEAD [seven]

(…continues from part 6…)

7]            Hebrews 12:2 reads, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Let it be understood that divine authorship, as it is made crystal clear in this verse, is the sole preserve of the Members of the Godhead. God the Father and the Son are both co-Authors. The word‘author’ in this verse is a different archēgos (ar-khay-gos’): ‘the chief leader, prince; of Christ; one that takes the lead in any thing and thus affords an example, a predecessor in a matter, pioneer.’ The next word, ‘faith,’ is pistis (pis’-tis): ‘conviction of the truth of anything, belief; in the NT of a conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, generally with the included idea of trust and holy fervour born of faith and joined with it; relating to God.’

Without the faith which is generated in Jesus, trying to reach out to God is an absolute hopelessness. ‘Looking’ is aphoraō (af-or-ah’-o). Thayer Definition says, ‘to turn the eyes away from other things and fix them on something’. And Strong’s Definition is: ‘to consider attentively.’ For how long are men expected to fix the focus on Jesus? The eternality of the Christ makes it a perpetual ‘looking unto’; the ‘looking’ has the grammatical present continuous tense as its action.

The Old Testamentary vaticinatory eloquence of His unveiling is attributed to none other than the great historian and the prophet of Jehovah, Isaiah. He wrote in Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

Let me take you on an exegetical unearthing of the Subject of this verse of Isaiah. The first words, ‘For unto’ has Scriptural facticity in two verses: Isaiah 7:14 “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” The second is Luke 1:35 “And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.”

None, throughout the Holy Scriptures, addressed Jesus or any other as Immanuel – meaning ‘God with us’. The truth is simply that that is what Jesus Christ is. His physical reality is the very presence of the Most High God. Quite indubitable! In apposition to the Holy Spirit is ‘the Highest’ which has in the Greek, hupsistos (hoop’-sis-tos): ‘most high God; (masculine singular) the Supreme (God), or (neuter plural) the heavens: ‘ Unfortunately, some religious authorities do not believe in the Scriptural deity of the Holy Spirit. If nothing at all would, let this revelation attest to the fact that the Holy Spirit is very God of very God. Let us look at the definition of ‘power’. It is dunamis (doo’-nam-is): ‘force (literally or figuratively); specifically miraculous power (usually by implication a miracle itself).’ ‘Holy thing’ is hagios (hag’-ee-os): ‘most holy thing, a saint; sacred (physically pure, morally blameless or religious, ceremonially consecrated).’

The ‘holy thing’ is first and foremost the foetal creationism of the Holy Spirit, the progeny that births Adam all over again. Sinless Jesus: He is the perfection of the regeneration of fallen Adamic race. Why did the Holy Spirit move upon the waters of darkness in the first chapter of Genesis? Was it not to generate the divine power to actuate this unique incarnation? The darkness of Satanism, throughout the gestational period that led to the eventual accouchement of Jesus Christ, could not stop the parturition of the holy pregnancy. It was an impossibility. The Incarnation was a divine must. Hallelujah! It says in Luke 2:11 “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” The Hebraic sobriquet of Jesus is Yehôshûa(yeh-ho-shoo’-ah) i.e. Joshua or Jehoshua: meaning ‘Jehovah is salvation’.

Joshua, after the death of Moses, led Israel into the Promised Land, saving them from the wilderness roam. The humanity of Christ adopted the sobriquet Yehôshûato remove the Adamic race from sinfulness, by miraculously establishing an irrevocable salvation: first to the Jew, then to the Gentiles.

Isaiah 9:6 goes on to ‘a son is given’. His Sonship is not an entity of creationism. It cannot be born – the Sonship –; it can only be a gift from the Divinity. John 1:14 “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” It says ‘full of grace and truth’ where the adjective ‘full’ is pleres (plee’-rees): ‘1. filled, replete, or covered over. 2. (by analogy) complete.’ The verb ‘made,’ of this verse, conjures a sense of creationism. The Greek is ginomai (ghin’-om-ahee): ‘to become, i.e. to come into existence, begin to be, receive being.’ The Greek does not use – of the Incarnation – the verb gennaō (ghen-nah’-o) meaning: ‘to procreate (properly of the father, but by extension of the mother); figuratively to regenerate:’ of Matthew 11:11 and John 3:6; neither does it employ ktizō (ktid’-zo): ‘to create; of God creating the worlds’ found in 1Corinthians 11:9 and Colossians 1:16.

The interpreters should have made use of ginomai i.e. ‘became’, proving that if the Word became flesh – the humanity of the Word – Christ had not the essentiality of flesh before He became so. ‘Flesh’ is sarx (sarx): ‘flesh (the soft substance of the living body, which covers the bones and is permeated with blood) of both man and beasts; the body; the body of a man.’ Flesh makes a distinction between the Christ and Jesus here. The man, Jesus, happens to be the externality of the eternality of the internal Christ, fused together to form the most enigmatic entity that ever trod the surface of the terra firma. The ‘fullness’ of His grace and truth underscores the consummation of HIS Divinity: for only the Author of creationism can be said to be full of grace and truth.

Amen!”

UNVEILING THE SECOND MEMBER OF THE GODHEAD [six]

(…continues from part 5…)

6]            An unveiling of His true personage had the beam of Divinity brought it out of obscurity when He pronounced the asseveration, “I am the good shepherd” of John 10:11. This verse is not an attempt by an entity suffering from the insatiable hunger for apotheosis. This Entity of John 10:11 is already of the Divinity from eternity past. Psalm 23 says, from the inkpot of King David, “The LORD is my shepherd.” The ‘LORD’ in this verse is Yhvah (yeh-vaw’)  יְהוָֹה Yhovah (yeh-ho-vaw’)  יְהוֹ Yhow (yeh-ho’) [as a prefix]1. (meaning) the self-Existent or Eternal, the I AM. 2. (person) Yahweh (Yehvah), Jewish national name of God. 3. (anglicized) Jehovah.’ The Shepherd, therefore, is God.

Psalm 80:1 “Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth.”  Verse 3 “Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.”  Verse 4 “O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?” verse 19 “Turn us again, O LORD God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.” I could just imagine the wowing look on each of the disciples, ruminating through the Psalms, when it became apparent that Jesus is the Shepherd that herded Israel out of Egypt. Each time they sang Psalm 23, it was to Jesus Christ they had sung the popular song of adoration.

Jesus said unto her, “I am the resurrection, and the life:” [John 11:25]

John 11:25 “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:” where ‘resurrection’ is anastasis (an-as’-tas-is): ‘a standing up again, that is, (literally) a resurrection from death (individual, general or by implication (its author)).’ ‘Life’ is zōē (dzo-ay’): ‘eternal life -of God. Is it not implausible that this prophet and teacher of the Bible should be the initiator of resurrection? Incredulous, but it is true. He called Himself “I am” which is ego eimi in Greek. Ego eimi is what God told Moses His name is. Ego eimi is the Hebraic YAHWEH or the Anglicized Jehovah. This is actually how it happened, Jesus Christ pointing to Himself said, “Jehovah the resurrection!” The real, veiled Person of Jesus is the Christ, who wields the epithetical, “which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” Amen.

Unveiling the Prince of Peace, ‘which is, and which was, and which is to come’

1Corinthians 14:33 “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.” The word ‘confusion’ is akatastasia (ak-at-as-tah-see’-ah): ‘instability, a state of disorder, disturbance.’ The next word ‘peace’ is eirēnē (i-ray’-nay): ‘a state of national tranquillity; exemption from the rage and havoc of war; peace between individuals, i.e. harmony, concord; security, safety, prosperity, felicity, (because peace and harmony make and keep things safe and prosperous); of the Messiah’s peace; the way that leads to peace (salvation).’ This authorship is in reference to the Father. The next verse unveils equality of the Son with the Father. It says, as we have seen, that God the Father is the author of peace; so, what does it mean that Jesus, according to the vatic proclamation of prophet Isaiah, is the Prince of peace? The word ‘peace’ in Hebrew is shalowm (shaw-lome’):1. safe.2. (figuratively) well, happy, friendly.3. (abstractly, as noun) well-being, one’s welfare.4. (by extension) health, prosperity, peace.’Prince is sar (sar):a head person (of any rank or class).’ This is what makes the equality evident: the Father is the Author of peace and the Son is the Ruler of the very peace. Selah!

 Jehovah Jesus: the Creator.

Hebrews 5:9 “And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;” and ‘author’ is aitios(ah’-ee-tee-os): ‘that which is the cause of anything, causative, causing (concretely) a causer.’ Scriptural exposition of Hebrews 5:9 reveals another Causer, a Member of the Godhead. The next word I want to explain is ‘eternal’. It comes out in Greek as aiōnios (ahee-o’-nee-os): ‘without beginning and end, that which always has been and always will be; without beginning; without end, never to cease, everlasting.’ ‘Salvation’ is sōtēria (so-tay-ree’-ah): ‘deliverance, preservation, safety, salvation; deliverance from the molestation of enemies; in an ethical sense, that which concludes to the souls safety or salvation.’ If what the Creator Himself had put in place is the preservation of the soteriological stance – without which the salvation has no conclusion – of the redeemed Christian, how can anyone undo the eternality of salvation which the recipient had no participatory hand in? Salvation is by grace, free and eternal.
