UNFORGIVING JEHOVAH? (IV)

IV)         Exodus 9:14-18 “For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth. 15) For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth. 16) And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth. 17) As yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go? 18) Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.” Ten is the number of trials. Ten horrendous plagues of national devastation were enough to bring Pharaoh to his succumbing knees. He believed he had enough gods of idolatry to gain an upper hand against the Almighty One of Israel.

                Pharaoh failed like the earlier putsch (of Lucifer) and demonic attempts. Verse 16 of Exodus chapter 9, is not an upholding applause to determinism of man’s philosophical stance. God would never create anyone for destruction. Jehovah is not the Author of fatalistic proclivities. All that God wants is a broken heart. Did He not send Prophet Elijah to prophesy to king Ahab, “Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will take away thy posterity, and will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel” [1Kings 21:21]?

King Ahab’s humility

                But Ahab’s adoption of a compunctious spirit made the same God to hold the impending annihilating curse in abeyance in 1Kings 21:27-29. “And it came to pass, when Ahab heard those words, that he rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his flesh, and fasted, and lay in sackcloth, and went softly. 28) And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying, 29) Seest thou how Ahab humbleth himself before me? because he humbleth himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days: but in his son’s days will I bring the evil upon his house.” It was the same Elijah that gave king Ahab the comfy news. Jehovah is not an unforgiving God.

            Achan was warned not to pilfer sacredness. Joshua 6:17-19 “And the city shall be accursed, even it, and all that are therein, to the LORD: only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all that are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent. 18) And ye, in any wise keep yourselves from the accursed thing, lest ye make yourselves accursed, when ye take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it. 19) But all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, are consecrated unto the LORD: they shall come into the treasury of the LORD.” Three desecrating count charge of: covetousness, disobedience and stealing from the treasury of the LORD! What impudence!? Stealing from the hand of the LORD God. Had He not warned them not to expect leniency if they should disobey the Angel of the LORD who followed them in Exodus 23:20-21?

            Joshua 7:4-5,“So there went up thither of the people about three thousand men: and they fled before the men of Ai. 5) And the men of Ai smote of them about thirty and six men: for they chased them from before the gate even unto Shebarim, and smote them in the going down: wherefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water.” They could not win this war simply because Achan, in Joshua 7:1, “took the accursed thing.” God does not support evil.

“And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? the LORD shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones” (Joshua 7:25). God frowns at, and judges evil. His judgments arise from the laws that are duly acquainted with, by the people: for the Scripture rightly agrees that “Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression” [Romans 4:15].

If Samson had asked, God would have spared his life and restored his eye sight.  

                Samson and his recklessness got what he asked for. Judges 13:5 “For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.”  There is no gainsaying the fact that Samson had the custody of this vital information. If not he would not have allowed his affection to exhibit such duncical judgment to open his heart and mouth to utter, to someone who is not just an infidel but who happened to have come from a nation nursing enmity against Israel, the words of Judges 16:17, “That he told her all his heart, and said unto her, There hath not come a razor upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother’s womb: if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man.”

III)        They (Zimri & Cozby of Numbers 25:6-15) lack the conduciveness of the comfortable love of God. They must be of Midian i.e. midyân (mid-yawn’) which means: ‘strife.’ Midian is the son of Abraham by Keturah and progenitor of the tribe of Midianites or Arabians defined as: ‘strife, contention, brawling’ the origin of which is a variation for mâdôn (maw-dohn’): ‘object of contention; a contest or quarrel.’ Take a good look at Quranic teachings of Islam and you will understand that the Arabian begotten Islam is in a contest, with the Bible, for the True God. To them, He is nothing but Allah, never JEHOVAH. Their Allah, the creator of determinism that involves intentionalism, from Quranic point, made sure that some people were created for hell fire torture! The Logos, Christ, secernates the Bible from the Qur’an.

Is this inscription not anti-Christianity? Where is the Islamic salaam (peace)?  

            A wise individual will often allow himself a rewarding dose of ratiocinatio. The wise one will not waste time in asking God for the forgiveness of all sins. Praise the Lord!

Lucifer wanted to be the forth in the Godhead!

                Lucifer stepped out of the boundary of mercy, when he led the first putsch against the rainbow administration of the LORD God. Before the celestial treasonable felony, Prophet Ezekiel made known what had transpired billions of years past: “Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee” (Ezekiel 28:15). Lucifer meant to raise an insurrection when the Bible recorded Revelation 12:4, “And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven…” And to perfect his nefariousness, Revelation 12:7 & 8 say, “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8) And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.” He earned hell for himself together with the evil fallen angels.

Cain! Why? How many brothers were on earth?

                Cain stupidly rejected the LORD’s offer. The LORD God spoke to Cain like a good Father does. Genesis 4:6 “And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?” Cain, like Lucifer, his evil father, busied himself with too much sulking and would not give any respect to his Creator! “If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him” (Genesis 4:7). The words ‘doest well’ in Hebrew is yatab (yaw-tab’): ‘1. to be (causative) make well, literally (sound, beautiful) or figuratively (happy, successful, right).’ S‘eth (seh-ayth’) is the word for ‘be accepted’ and it means: ‘1. an elevation or leprous scab 2. (figuratively) elation or cheerfulness 3. exaltation in rank or character.’ Cain, how could you display such an egregious audacity before the LORD God, even the Creator?

                Cain would have had his firstborn rank reinstated only if he had followed divine protocol by offering the right sacrifice. ‘Sin,’ from this verse is chatta’ah (khat-taw-aw’) (or chattacth {khat-tawth’}) ‘1. an offence (sometimes habitual sinfulness), and its penalty, occasion, sacrifice, or expiation 2. (concretely) an offender.’ Chatta’ah comes from chata’ (khaw-taw’): ‘1. (properly) to miss 2. (hence, figuratively and generally) to sin 3. (by inference) to forfeit, lack, expiate, repent 4. (causatively) to lead astray, condemn.’ Sin offering, contextually, was all the Lord God was asking for to expiate his disobedience. The verb ‘lieth’ is rabats (raw-bats’): ‘1. to crouch (on all four legs folded, like a recumbent animal) 2. by implication, to recline, repose, brood, lurk, imbed.’ The animal that crouches on all fours is the sacrificial lamb or goat. Do you not have them in abundance, O! Cain!?

They were forewarned in Genesis 2:17

                Adam and his wife knew what was in store for them. Genesis 2:16, “And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:” The Hebrew for ‘commanded’ is tsavah (tsaw-vaw’) ‘1. (intensively) to constitute, enjoin.’ This constitution makes man a free moral agent. Absolute freedom is chaotic. A codicil comes to make Adam responsible for disobedience in Genesis 2:17, “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” Did he and his wife, Adam the female not know that they would be cutting their lives short by the disobedience? Satanic knowledge killed them.

                Pharaoh knew that the God of Moses could only be the Omnipotent Deity. Exodus 9:13 “And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.” This is the Almighty God, the Creator. He had come to exercise His Almighty power over the mighty Pharaoh and his pantheons of Egyptian adoration. Pharaoh’s rejection of the True God was his destruction. Anyone who rejects the worship of Jehovah, is an Antichrist. Hell bound. The remaining verses were not threats. They served as soteriological evangelism to a heathen Pharaoh and the entire Egypt.

Phinehas had to act like God

II)       The ‘javelin’ he used is rômach (ro’-makh) meaning: ‘to hurl i.e. spear, lance.’ Phinehas did what Cain (whose name speaks of javelin), the first born of mankind would not do. Phinehas did not fail to protect God’s word and His people. God is no respecter of persons, ergo, the judgment began, possibly with the back of the Israelite -a misrepresentation of God’s own Israel- through the belly of the Midianitish –a representation of heathenish practice of religion– woman. ‘Belly’ in Hebrew is: qôbâh (ko’-baw): ‘maw, stomach (of sacrificial victim); belly (of woman), the abdomen (as a cavity).” The word qôbâh comes from qâbab (kaw-bab’): ‘to curse, to scoop out, that is, (figuratively) to malign or execrate (that is, stab with words).’ God’s child uses nothing but the word of his Saviour to war against the works of evil.

YESHUAH: VERY GOD OF VERY GOD! AMEN!

                God’s child uses nothing but the word of his Saviour to war against the works of evil. God’s Church is a woman. The Midian woman is the falsehood of religion. The Israelite knew how Jehovah hates idolatry. His audacity was quite inexcusable. There is no mercy for a wanton disregard for God’s word. His Word is an Eternal Personality: Jesus Christ; who was, who is and is to come; the Almighty. Amen.

            Verse 10 of Numbers chapter 25 says, “And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 11) Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.  12) Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace:  13) And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel.” Many times the reason why certain actions are taken is not out of retaliation or bitterness of ill will. Divine indignation calls on one who is sensitive to the directive of the Holy Spirit to address certain issues. Consequences, as a matter of divine adjudicatory exigency, must be faced sometimes. Punishment. Jehovah is not an unforgiving Entity. Equity demands a satiation even from the Ultimate Judge, not because He is subservient to circumstances but simply because it is the law of His eternal Word. The Eternal One will not break even His own law. Amen.

            It does not surprise me that Phinehas had to feel so responsible. Good people of God should emulate him, not by killing any offender of God’s word, though. Phinehas is the Hebrew pı̂ynechâs (pee-nekh-aws’): ‘mouth of brass or mouth of serpent -which comes from peh (mouth) and nâchâsh (serpent).’ Brass is a scriptural symbolism of judgment. Christians serve as judges of the righteousness of the LORD, their God. Phinehas is the son of Eleazar i.e. el‛âzâr (el-aw-zawr’) meaning: ‘God has helped.’ You cannot do work in His vineyard without His full backing. The Holy Spirit continually infuses you with His divine energy. And without the knowledge of the True Light, Jesus Christ, you lack the wisdom to carry out God’s judgment. Phinehas is well rooted in the name of his grandfather, Aaron, called ‘ahărôn (a-har-one’) in Hebrew and means: ‘light bringer.’ The beam of His light uncovers every iniquity upon which fairness of judgment must consume. Amen! What God’s child does is just to beam the light of Scripture on any issue. Any act of scriptural negation is of the enemy of God. Simple.

Phinehas rid Israel of idolatrous lust

            This is the spiritual credentials of God’s enemy who comes under the gavel of righteousness. Verses 14 and 15 read, “Now the name of the Israelite that was slain, even that was slain with the Midianitish woman, was Zimri, the son of Salu, a prince of a chief house among the Simeonites. 15) And the name of the Midianitish woman that was slain was Cozbi, the daughter of Zur; he was head over a people, and of a chief house in Midian.” Zimri is the Hebraic zimrı̂y (zim-ree’): ‘my music.’ Lucifer, by experience, knows that the very moment he began to sing songs of his own was when he began to drive himself into perdition. Zimri sang and danced to the music that would not eulogise the Creator. Zimri allowed the Devil to provide him with the tenets of his own earthly father called Salu. In Hebrew Salucan besalû, salû’, sâlû’, or sallay (sal-loo’). It has a definition of ‘weighed’ and it comes from sâlâh (saw-law’): ‘to make light of, toss aside; to hang up, that is, weigh, or (figuratively) contemn.’

 The sting of death is sin (1Corinthians 15:56)

                As a matter of fact no Israelite is expected to be this far drawn into apostasy. Zimri refused to be an honourable Simeonite. Simeonites or shim‛ônı̂y (shim-o-nee’) are descendants of Simeon which means: ‘harkening.’ He forsook the words of Jehovah and joined himself to the despicable heathenish Cozbi kozbı̂y (koz-bee’). Cozbi means: ‘my lie, falsehood.’ Falsehood of Satanism is an affront to the eternal existence of God. Cozbi’s father is Zur i.e. tsûr (tsoor): “rock” i.e. precipitous edge of cliff. The ways of falsehood always treads on the dangerous, pathetic paths of precipitousness.

UNFORGIVING JEHOVAH? (I)

“Had I known” has always come too late! Achan!

1)            “Oh yes! It’s perfectly clear to me that you’re such an unforgiving soul!” A wife vented her anger on her husband’s allusion to a past event. “You call yourself a Christian,” she resumed, “but won’t allow my brother the luxury of a teeny-weeny taste of forgiveness for what he did decades ago! Shame on you!” As far as the wife was concerned, “You are a deviation from your Father in heaven.” After moments of what she deemed a ratiocinative venture I heard her whisper, “Well, this God can be so unforgiving sometimes.”

Only eight souls survived the great Deluge

            He should have forgiven the pristine parents of Eden and used that occasion to shame the Devil. Should He not have manifestly appear in Person to warn the Antedeluvian Age of the impending annihilation? If He had shown that magnanimity He would not need come down to meet the Nimrod ruled world to remind them of what their grandparents told them about the deluge and its destruction. So many questions make man think he is or could be smarter than God. Why, ergo, would God choose the path of unforgiveness? Come to the scriptural voyage with me.

            In the book of Exodus 23:20-21 we read of His warning to Israel. 20)“Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. 21) Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.” This cannot be a created angel. No angel of creationism is vested with pardoning of transgressions in Scripture. This is Christ in His preincarnational walk with the work of His creation. He proved His absolvent equality with the Father in Luke 5:24, “But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.” We understand from Scripture that “the Father is in me (Jesus), and I in him (Eternal Father)“ [John 10:38]; and these following verses are in agreement: John 10:30; John 14:11; John 14:20; John 17:11; John 17:21.

                Is Jehovah’s name in Christ? Yes! “Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am” [John 8:58]. ‘I AM’ is God’s title and here in the Book of John it is the Greek Ego Eime, the same as “I AM THAT I AM” of Exodus 3:14. All the names of God are telescoped into the name of Jesus. Remember “…All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth” of Matthew 28:18? When the same God proclaimed Himself He made it crystal clear in Exodus 34:6-7, “And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, 7) Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.”

                This words cannot be that of Joshua as some believe, or from the praying lips of Moses as the Jerusalem Targum scripts and also as Vulgate Latin version puts it. The allusive prayer of Moses in Numbers 14:17-18, “And now, I beseech thee, let the power of my Lord be great, according as thou hast spoken, saying ……” is quite evident the proclamation is from Jehovah. He is merciful and forgiving but He will never condone any act of disobedience. The love of God is, of course, longsuffering but never eternal suffering. Disobedience is an affront to His persona. A classic example is the situation in Israeli camp.

            It is recorded in the Book of Numbers chapter 25 from verse 6 to the 15th. 6) “And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.” This looks like a record breaking egregious affront!

The LORD, the LORD…forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin

            Verse 7 reads,“And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand; 8) And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel. 9) And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand.” Phinehas did what the LORD God would have done to the audacity of his affront.

(3)          Christians are not just another race of people, we are so close to Him, the Most High, as closer as His next of kin. ‘Nation’ (from 1Peter 2:9) is ethnos (eth’-nos): ‘a race (as of the same habit), that is, a tribe.’

                Tell me what titillation envelopes you coming to the realisation that you and the Most High are of the same tribal group? This is the nationality of the new spiritual species. ‘Peculiar’ has two definitive words of: eis (ice): ‘into, unto, to, towards, for, among,’ and peripoiēsis (per-ee-poy’-ay-sis):’a preserving, a preservation, possession, one’s own property, an obtaining.’

 Christians are divinely called out species

            What is ‘peculiar’ saying? Christians are a people obtained as God’s possession: a preservation of His Divine delight. It actually gives you a picture of a circle with a dot inside the circle. You, the special species, are the dot. God is the circle. A divine hedge around you: His especial prized property. If the Lord does not open the circular hedge none can access you to harm you. Remember Job, the righteous man? I am His prized possession. Are you a born again Christian? An affirmative answer means you are God’s best possession. He has kept you in the best of glorious places: in Himself! Your peculiarity is a possession safely treasured in Divinity.

                Why do you think Pauline apostolic penmanship will read, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him” [1Corinthians 2:9]? When glorified, we will look better than angels. “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is” [1John 3:2]. Jesus tells us in John 14:17, “Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” If the Spirit of God the Father, and of God the Son has taken a residence in our spirit realm, on account of the fact that we are born again Christians, then we have an endowment of the mind of Christ.

                There should be no wonder why it is written, “Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life” [1Corinthians 6:3]? It amazes me when a whole lots of Bible teachers and pastors will say that the good works we do on earth provide the materials for the architectural construction of the celestial buildings of our heavenly habitation. They certainly do not understand the Scripture. They teach from the reading of the KJV Elizabethan English rendition. They forget that the Septuagint is in the Greek of the New Testament. Without the Hebrew understanding it is very difficult, if not impossible, to teach the Old Testament. John 14:2, “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” Shall we look at the Greek understanding of the key words? ‘House’ is oikia (oy-kee’-ah): ‘properly residence (abstractly), but usually (concretely) an abode (literally or figuratively); by implication a family (especially domestics).’ Oikia, in this context is strictly of the domestic family. Angels, to our scriptural knowledge are sons of God.          

Do angels have physical construction of houses (according to scriptures)? Monē (mon-ay’) is the Greek for ‘mansions’ and it means: ‘a staying, that is, residence (the act or the place).’ Monē is specifically ‘room or space, large, wide, wide-stretched,’ in this context. I once asked someone while explaining this, “Which is larger, the ‘house’ or the ‘mansion’ from our architectural understanding?” He answered, “Mansion.”

                Then followed my rhetoric, “How come the ‘mansion’ is inside the smaller ‘house’?” ‘Many,’ polus (pol-oos’) means ‘large, wide, wide-stretched (space).’ The ‘many mansions’ tells us of large room or space for all Christians. Topos (top’-os) is the Greek for ‘place’ which means: ‘a spot (generally in space, but limited by occupancy; topos is different from chōra (kho’-rah): [‘a region or country, i.e. a tract of land] is a larger but particular locality), that is, location (as a position, home, tract, etc.); figuratively condition, opportunity; specifically a scabbard.’

            John 14:3, “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” Where exactly is the Topos of Jesus? Luke 22:69 has the answer. “Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.” This is our special Topos -the right hand of the Majesty. Amen!  

 “I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

                Get born again and be counted among the new species of humanity, say this prayer with all your heart, meaning it:

I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”

THE NEW SPIRITUAL SPECIES (two)

  “…your life is hid with Christ in God” Colossians 3:3

(2)          Not like the bulls, rams and lambs hitherto used in sacrificial exculpation, the expendability of which necessitated daily sanguinary butchered ritual for atonement, Jesus rose to live forever. That made the difference, soteriologically. At the pouring forth of the blood of the object of sacrifice in death, the sacrificant is absolved of the hanging judgment. The life of an innocent animal is exchanged for that of the sacrificing wrong doer. The dead animal is not recallable. When Jesus rose from the dead, the Eternal One, who is also the Holy One of Israel, came back from the dead to sniff out death from our essence. The Bible says, “we were quickened together with him:” for in so doing we rose never to die spiritually again, living as eternally as our Saviour, ‘who was, who is, and is to come. Amen!’ “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out.” How many sins were forgiven? The Book of Colossians’ answer is, “All!”

THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS (Jer. 23:6), “that we might be made the righteousness of God in him (2Corinthians 5:21).

            If the scriptural factuality is of 2Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new;” does it not follow that the regenerated soul of a Christian is a spiritually brand new man? This word ‘new’ is the Greek kainos (kahee-nos’): ‘new (especially in freshness).’ Paul did not use neos or neōteros (neh’-os): ‘new, recently born, young, youthful, properly so with respect to age.’ This freshness is located in the spiritual silo or refrigeration of the eternal Christ Jesus. The newness of this freshness, coming from the throne of the Eternal Father, is definitely eternal!

 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature…”

                “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” [Romans 10:10]. The noun ‘righteousness’ is the Greek dikaiosunē (dik-ah-yos-oo’-nay): ‘a feminine noun which speaks specifically of (Christian) justification.’ The feminity stance makes our justification a proper Bride of the Righteous Lamb, who has sworn the oath of “I will never leave nor forsake thee.” Most definitely, our life, as His mystical body on terra firma, has its locale majestically in Christ, the Second Member of the Godhead. “When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory,” so says the word of God in Colossians 3:4, where ‘life’ is zoe, ‘God’s kind of life.’ The life of this new species cannot be lost, having its location in Christ, who continually takes care of it: for it is His own life! Amen!

            What does it say in Colossians 3:3? It reveals what the spiritual baptism does. “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.” “Why,” if any should ask, “will God hide us doubly in Him and in Christ?” Eternal security! That is the answer. God would not trust any other but Him -Jesus. He does not want another careless blunder from an egregious stupidity displayed by the first Adam. “In him was life; and the life was the light of men” [John 1:4].

                God made the absolutely best choice when He chose Jesus. He, most definitely, chose Himself when He chose to hide us in Jesus. Is Jesus not Emmanuel? “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out.”  God did all of these marvellous deeds to ensure our eternal safety, knowing fully well that we, as free moral agents could disrupt His ineffable plan of salvation. We, as the new spiritual species, have, therefore, become too priceless; bought with the invaluable sinless blood of the Lamb of Jehovah.

HIS ASCENSION ENGENDERED OUR FUTURE RAPTUROUS ASCENSION

          1Peter 2:9, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.” Amen. What is ‘chosen’? It is eklektos (ek-lek-tos’): ‘select; by implication favorite.’ What one does with and for a favourite belonging is what God does for and with us. When you have to discipline your body do you destroy it for whatever reason? I believe not. ‘Generation’ is genos (ghen’-os) meaning: ‘kindred or offspring.’ Christians are not just another race of people, we are so close to Him, the Most High, as closer as His next of kin. ‘Nation’ is ethnos (eth’-nos): ‘a race (as of the same habit), that is, a tribe.’

                Get born again and be counted among the new species of humanity, say this prayer with all your heart, meaning it:

“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”
