WHY EVE STUCK TO ADAM (two)

 profiles-of-adam-and-eve-male-and-female-god-created-them-GoodSalt-rhpas0896

(2)           Adam named her ‘woman’ ‘ishshâh or nâshı̂ym (ish-shaw’) which in the Hebrew means: ‘woman, wife, female; woman (opposite of man); wife (woman married to a man).’ It was of utmost prerequisite that he should name her. It was a fundamental prerequisite to actuate his ownership of an intelligent being before the inevitable usurpation of the enemy eventually did. Jesus -in Adam- must do it first. In naming her the existence of the church was engendered in an adumbration of “….I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” [Matthew 16:18]. Lucifer did everything to destroy this very important phenomenal event in man’s existence. Because in Adam Jesus succeeded, having tested the waters in Eden, it was time for Him to declare for all eternity, “and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Two important reasons the Devil chose to usurp the dominion of the earth via the woman was that since it was to the man that the oracle of the Divinity was given, he knew what a disastrous oddity it would be facing Adam the man. Even the evil Lucifer hated to lose in his nefarious enterprise! How I wish man would learn not to lose to the glory of Jesus. He chose the woman for the huge price of capturing the Church. Satan was of a deep savvy that the church and worship are quite the same. “Get the emblem of the Church,” he soliloquised, “and you’ve got the deified worship of your esurient crave. And the beguiled woman came under the guilty hands of a faux pas when she vomited the infamous “neither shall ye touch lest ye die” because it is absolutely unscriptural. She was guilty. The judgment is death!

11-god-as-artist-7-638

The innocent blood of Adam had gone forth and into the earth of sinful confinement. The same blood that went into her creation had, by the design of the Divinity, been made an atoning availability. To Lucifer’s chagrin the sinful duo did not die. Hallelujah! To reclaim the lost glory, Adam knew he had to name her again. Eve, which is Chavvah (khav-vaw’) in Hebrew means: ‘1. life-giver 2. Chavvah (or Eve), the first woman.’ O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! (Roman 11:33). Two is the scriptural number of testimony and of witness, ergo, twice named testified that God is the true Lord of this matrimony.

Adam renamed the woman to ensure the continuity of the marriage. It must take after God’s vision of: once married, is eternally married: where divorce is a spiritual illogicality which has no locus standi in the heavenly assizes. A proof of the fact that a member of the Church is eternally born again. “…..I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” [Matthew 16:18].

adam-and-eve-back-side-big-e1415984174431

God had put all necessary ingredients of marital success into the crafting of Adam. He was God’s disseminator of the oracular afflatus. God cannot lose. He must have His own desire. Jesus, therefore, got back His bride in Eve, the mother of the living. After the temptation, Adam’s wife was able to distinguish between faithfulness of the LORD God and the shenanigan device of the Devil, having been fed with his beguilement. She had learnt her lessons. Eve made her wise choice.

101_Cam228_SB_ProRes444.2

The tempter asked her to come with him to rule the world. She would not fall for another cozenage. “I’ll make you the goddess of the entire globe,” was the next line of diabolism. Just imagine if Eve had embraced this fantastic offer of the supreme goddess of the entire world. Satan would have made use of the matrix of prototype of humanity. It would have been the biggest deal of satanic worship. Her first demonic son would be anointed as the supreme prince. “Quite impressive,” she admitted; but the Spirit of God showed her her future with Adam and Eve saw a much bigger picture! Amen!!

Eve stuck with Adam for a good reason

She would rather get stuck with a poor Adam than cringe slavishly before Lucifer and all the huge opulence at his disposal. God showered her with mercy. She remembered that. She had had reinstatement bestowed on her. “This is a good God,” Eve had admitted to herself. “Quite unlike this deceiver;” so she decided to actuate the dream of the LORD God by sticking very closely to her husband. Eve saw the light. She saw the big picture.

Blood sacrifice: an adumbration of the ultimate sacrifice of the Lamb of God.

In Adam’s sleep she saw the death of Jesus. The blood from his side foretold the Lord’s propitiation of atonement. Atonement, to her, read something different: at-one-ment! She will be one with the LORD God forever when the archetypical Jesus, whom her husband adumbrates, comes. The celestial bliss will wipe away all the tears of demonic afflictions. Her tectonic walk with the LORD is the walk of every Christian. Only with Adam will this walk receive rejuvenation in Christ. Eve stuck wisely to Adam.

Semiramis giving suck to Tamuuz, the son of Nimrod or Baal.

It pays to be part of the big picture. Satan mesmerised Nimrod and his wife, Semiramis, who refused to look at the final analysis. They did his bidding; and the foolish couple remains the most idolized across the entire globe. Nimrod is the sun god and Semiramis, the moon goddess. Their foolishness stems from the fact of Psalm 14:1, “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.” A dichotomy of the adoration of entities had been engendered by satanical diabolism.

Praise be to Jehovah who did not allow Eve to fall thereby giving someone like me an opportunity to serve the LORD God, in the name of Jesus. Amen!  (Concluded)

LOVE (What’s It?) part two

God-is-LOve1-300x236

Out of the mouths of babes….

(…continued from the 1st part)                                                                                                                  In verse 5 of 1Corinthians 13, we have ‘behave itself unseemly’, aschēmoneō (as-kay-mon-eh’-o) is: ‘to be (that is, act) unbecoming’. ‘Seeketh not her own’ means ‘does not engage in things that would not be for the common good’. ‘Easily provoked’ is paroxunō (par-ox-oo’-no): ‘to sharpen’ i.e. (allow a sharp, rapid, acid anger in you). ‘Thinketh’, logizomai (log-id’-zom-ahee): ‘to take an inventory, that is, estimate (literally or figuratively)’. ‘Evil’ is kakos meaning: ‘worthless, injurious, depravity’.

god-is-my-first-love

”Thinketh no evil’ means, according to Clark’s Commentary, “Believes no evil where no evil seems”. From Jamieson, Fausset & Brown’s Commentary, “imputeth not evil [ALFORD]; literally, “the evil” which actually is there (Pro 10:12; 1Pe 4:8 (refs2)). Love makes allowances for the falls of others, and is ready to put on them a charitable construction. Love, so far from devising evil against another, excuses “the evil” which another inflicts on her [ESTIUS]; doth not meditate upon evil inflicted by another [BENGEL]; and in doubtful cases, takes the more charitable view [GROTIUS]”. And I concur with an, “Amen!”

God Love is True

Verse 6 says, ‘Rejoiceth not in iniquity’, because love will rather exult the verity and the truth but frown at falsehood. ‘Love’ in verse 7 covers, endures, all afflictions, without complaining. Believes all that are not palpably false. Hopes for the better even when others are tired of hoping. Endures patiently to the end. Verse 8 has ‘never’ oudepote (oo-dep’-ot-eh) ‘not even at any time, that is, never at all,’ and ‘faileth’, ekpiptō (ek-pip’-to) ‘to drop away; specifically be driven out of one’s course; figuratively to lose, become inefficient’. Love will never go out of fashion. It is truly eternal. Reverend Chris Okotie, in a teaching of his, said, “If you ask me the definition of God, I’ll tell you it is simply ‘love’.” How absolutely concise and very correct you are, my dear Pastor! One can only access this agapē of God when it is channelled through the energy of the Holy Spirit via an experiential knowledge of Jesus, the anointing Anointed.

1-john-4-8-a

Jesus exhibited the spirit of longsuffering when He patiently taught His disciples to fit into the Kingdom of God that was at hand. Kindness of agapē drove Him to heal the blind man who had spent years beside the Bethesda pool, and for which same reason He fed about 18,000 people who attended His crusade. I just do not see why He will harbour any recourse to envy anybody, being the Creator of all in existence. Those who have attained the spiritual maturity should not for any reason wrap themselves at any point in time in the toga of jealousy. When you read where Jesus says, “Verily, verily I tell you…” He is pointedly making an intimation of the fact that He is not a braggart. God vaunteth not. Jesus is so humble you hardly see any marked difference when found in the midst of His disciples. He never puffed Himself up.

agape

The gentleman in Jesus would not permit Him to take steps of unbecomingness. Whatever Jesus sought for Himself was definitely for the common good of all. Selflessly, Jesus died for all sinners. Knowing what was at stake, Jesus did not allow the acidity of the provocative anger to burn Him out, enduring the grueling, sanguinary death of the cross. “Then said Jesus,” in Luke 23:34, “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do…” in order to perfect ‘thinketh no evil’ thereby imputing no evil on His captors; a classic proof of a genuine adorable Lover.

god-is-love-1-638

The Lord Jesus did not praise their business acumen at money changing, neither did He extol Judas’ business venture. He overturn the table, whipped them because, “ye have made it a den of thieves”, reminding them, “My house shall be called the house of prayer;” [Matthew 21:13]; and told him in Matthew 26:24, “The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! It had been good for that man if he had not been born”.

the risen christ

He swallowed death, stopping it from taking me to hell.

Twelve things do distinguish love. Twelve is the number of our Lord Jesus. One man of God defines agapē thus: “A love called out of the heart of the lover on account of the value the lover has placed on the object of his love”. It is truly a commitment: to take care of another person. Love, from my exegesis, is really not, “what’s it?” It is should actually be “who is it?” because Love is a Personage. The Lord Jesus epitomizes all what love is. Praise the Lord!

LOVE (What’s It?) part one

GOD Is 'LOVE' - 1 John 4 verses 7-8

It does not find its true delineation in the realm of emotionalism. No doubt about the fact that emotion can be symptomatic of love, but is it not very well known medically that a symptom of tiredness does not necessarily serve as the diagnosis for malaria?

Our emotions are not stable. They do have the tendency to fizzle out at an advent of another experiential stage of existence. Emotions often becloud the good sense of true judgment of a prevailing issue. Feelings ride on the wings of volatility for prominence and survival. Your feelings cannot be wholly trusted.

love 3

Love is not a feeling per se. It is a state of being. Love, actually, is a Personage. In the book of 1John 4:8, it reads: “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love”. The 19th verse: “We love him, because he first loved us.” ‘Loveth’, ‘love’ and ‘loved’ (verse 19) is the Greek agapaō (ag-ap-ah’-o): ‘to love (in a social or moral sense)’; it is the verb form of agapē. ‘Knoweth’ is ginōskō (ghin-oce’-ko) ‘to learn to know, come to know, get a knowledge of, perceive’; ‘to “know” (absolutely)’. ‘Love’ in verse eight is agapē (ag-ah’-pay): ‘brotherly love, affection, good will, love, benevolence; love feasts’. Agapē is a feminine noun, therefore, very productive. No one knew love until God showed it. The same love moved God to descend from His most highly exalted heaven to save the lost souls.

God-Is-Love 2

Love, no matter what!

The grammatical femininity of agapē is indicative of worship. Whatever receives veneration has become a husband, spiritually. Jesus, who receives worship, is espoused to the Church {Ephesians 1:22, “And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church”; Ephesians 5:25-32, where verse 25 reads: “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it”}. Nimrod has the appellation of Baal and one of the meanings of Baal is ‘husband’. Wherever you see the symbolism of the moon, crescent or the sun, know that it could be a replication of Baal worship. It should not surprise anyone that Diana worship involves libidinousness. Diana is the same person as Semiramis, the moon goddess wife of Nimrod, the Baal. Anyone who comes to Jehovah God with the agapē of Christ will be doing so with the role of a worshipping stance.

agape1

The word, ‘charity’ in 1Corinthians 13:1-13 is Agapē, where we see the credentials of love. Faith is so vital that without it none can receive anything from God. We even understand that faith is what God employed at creationism. Hope keeps our faith at the highest degree of its zeal but love is the greatest among the three: “And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity” [1Corinthians 13:13]. “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment” [Mark 12:30]. Love, unlike virtues like hope and faith, is all encompassing. It is the very essence of God. You show faith to exhibit God, but when you love you are God in disguise. It is for this reason esoteric cultism enjoins its initiated ones to cultivate the habit of philanthropy in order to balance the good with their evil deeds.

God is a Spirit

God is a Spirit. Love, truly expressed, must flow from Him. You cannot manifest genuine love unless it is energized by the Holy Spirit. Verse three of 1Corinthians 13:3-8 reads, “And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.” Esoterically fueled philanthropy is an attempt in otiosity. Verse 4, “Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up;” where ‘suffereth long’, makrothumeō (mak-roth-oo-meh’-o) means: ‘to be long spirited, that is, (objectively) forbearing or (subjectively) patient’. ‘Kind’ is chrēsteuomai (khraste-yoo’-om-ahee) ‘to show oneself useful, that is, act benevolently’. ‘Envieth’ is zēloō (dzay-lo’-o) ‘to have warmth of feeling for or against’; while ‘not’ oú (ou), is absolutely negative adverb no or not’. ‘Vaunteth’, perpereuomai (per-per-yoo’-om-ahee) Middle voice from πέρπερος perperos (braggart; perhaps by reduplication of the base of peran (per’-an) –which   comes from– peirō (to “pierce”); through (as adverb or preposition), that is, across’.) means: ‘to boast’; ‘not’ is oú (ou). ‘Puffed up’, phusioō (foo-see-o’-o) means: ‘in the primary sense of blowing; to inflate, that is, (figuratively) make proud (haughty)’.       (…to be concluded…)

The Mystery Of Wedlock (2nd part)

83806872a148f5cf422d5dbd2cbe3f39

Satan, as the ape of Jehovah, waited for the reign of Nimrod to perpetrate the travesty of divinity. Nimrod established one universal religion, making him the true portrayal of the Antichrist. He, with his wife, Semiramis, and son, Tammuz formed the heinous trinity. Nimrod was the ruler of the world. He led them in a sacerdotal office and was worshipped as the sun god, Baal. Semiramis was appointed to the deified position which Eve, through her faithfulness to the covenant, rejected. His title of Baal means: ‘owner, lord and husband.’ The religious worship initiated the worshippers into an atrocious wedlock of esotericism. They became espoused to Nimrod spiritually. Lucifer understood the spiritual implication. Nimrod was Lucifer’s priest, hence, every obeisant gesture to Nimrod’s religious worship is in actuality an evil worship of the Devil himself. All married to Evil!

semiramis

Semiramis is Lucifer’s woman of his church

Many do not know what this conjugal phenomenon is all about. The design is for Christians only. The redeemed. It is God’s secret to bestow eternal salvation on man. God’s true love is revealed in His espousal of the redeemed. One must, as a matter of scriptural fact, be wedded to Jesus to receive the gift of heavenly citizenship. A good husband who has a gift for his wife learnt it from the Most High. Is there any proof that only born again Christians enters into this wedlock? The propitiatious blood of Jesus washes the born again justifiably sinless before the judging seat of the Creator. Adam entered into the primeval wedlock with the pristine woman, both of them quite sinless. The pristine couple were of the same Parent: the LORD God. Christians have one Holy Spirit, one Saviour and one Father. Any other marriage is a mere grotesque mimicry of God’s glorious institution.

aa02917f7a5d44a08af1be31c0f3b7e4

This mystical wedlock does not come to any termination. 2Corinthians 5:17 states that, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” Old things are the natural sinful you. All things that ‘are become new’ speaks of your new spiritual existence. Verse twenty-one makes it crystal clear who owns the newness and whose righteousness you are wrapped in. You cannot lose your salvation as long as it has a connectivity with marriage for: of divorce Jesus catechized, “Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder” (Matthew 19:6).

When asked in the 7th verse why Moses taught to divorce, Jesus answered in the 8th, “He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.” God is a covenant keeper. Remember the scriptural caviar in Revelation 14:11 of whosoever receives the cultic name of the Antichrist is damned forever? So does the wedlock with Jesus! Should you still be in the dark concerning the divine security of the believer please search for my post titled, “Why Go Aminianistic Soteriology” and another one is “My Salvation (what can happen to it?)”

85617c03f5084780dcc692bd225dee32

God knows that if He leaves the maintenance of the redeemed life of Jesus us to, the impossibility stems from the fact that we lack the spiritual element of its sustenance. Jesus points out categorically in John 10:28 “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” What a good Jehovah God we serve! He beheld our natural weakness even as He was designing our future eternal blissfulness and decided to serve as the inn-keeping Caretaker. Hallelujah! “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!” [Romans 11:33]. Selah. I rest my case.

The Mystery Of Wedlock (1st part)

038de14edf55c152664486fd11d0e040

The mystery of conjugal bond has an evincive appropriateness in Eve’s incapability to divorce Adam. It was the practical reality of the prototype union, lying equable in the bosom of the eternal Father, awaiting the historical Spirit-anointing of participatory wedlock between the Lamb and the Church, the annalistic representation of which will eventuate in the celestial realm of the seated Majesty.

The first woman was made exclusively for the man, his rib having been the main component of the creation of the woman. Rev. Chris Okotie, in his exegesis of the extraction of the rib, taught that only the rib looked curved enough to represent the rainbow which God used to make a covenant with man. In the same vein, going by this understanding of the rib connection, a binding conjugal relationship was bonded by the utilization of the man’s rib. Marriage covenant. The woman was made while Adam, the man, lay asleep just as Jesus, his prototype, would. His sinless sleep is a prophetic adumbration of the Calvary’s death of atonement leading to a lying in the tomb to a necessitation of the standing up of the Church. God, her Father-in-law, would, no doubt, have briefed her about her responsibility. She understood. When the temptation arose, she dutifully stuck with her husband.

The-fall-of-Adam-and-Eve-1024x682

Eve did behave irresponsibly. She, nonetheless, deserves the proper encomiums for keeping God’s dream alive. God needed to enter into an everlasting relationship with a species of intelligent beings to prove Lucifer’s guilt and sentence to eternal hellish confinement. The first woman fell but she remembered her first love. She remembered the true unwavering love and its lavish engulfing radiation. There was no mistaking the reassuring dispositional affection towards her and the overpowering gentle attachment that she experienced during that walk with the most High. She would rather remain the follower of the God-ordained mortal dust of an Adam than to be a tiaraed goddess of the cosmos.

Lucifer’s beastly revelry would have known no bounds if his chicanery had earned him a triumphant conscription of the original Adamic female. She would have been his most perfect queen. Albeit it would not have made any difference to God’s intended purport, her apostasy would have afforded Satan an expediency to spread the potential importance of seeking spiritual aid from her esoteric deification.

pagan-trinities

Satanic religious contraptions of trinity around the globe

The exclusiveness of the erection of a female for the man’s use highlights the legality of the union. The word ‘made’, in Hebrew, is bânâh (baw-naw’) in the book of Genesis 2:22 “And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.” Bânâh is an architectural term which means: ‘to build, rebuild, establish, cause to continue, to build a house (i.e., establish a family).’ Remember Jesus’ divine promise of Matthew 16:18, “….I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” The woman is God’s own building. She is God’s property; an institution created for the portrayal of God’s faithfulness. By the time God brought the woman to Adam he was already standing in the justified rectitude of the dominant ruler of the earth. His consent, as God’s representative, was needed for the consummation of God’s objective. The woman became Adam’s property. Man’s ownership of his wife cannot be viewed in a derogatory manner. He owns her the very manner Christ legally owns the espoused Church.

‘Woman’ in Genesis 2:22 is ishshâh (ish-shaw’): ‘woman, wife, female.’ With an understanding that the Church is the body of Christ it is apropos to analogize that the woman, as the husband’s body, does surround him, hence, his bodyguard. The Church guards the word of God. The Eden ishshâh was a strong woman. Her strength comes from her husband, the lord of the earth, who prefigures Jesus, the true Builder by whose power ‘the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.’ Amen! Knowing that He was leaving, Jesus had to empower His body with the pronouncement of Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

human_ribs

The rib is reminiscent of the rainbow covenant

We form a mystical bond by the token of the rib. The covenant makes the wedlock a great mystery. It is owed to God the covenant Keeper. God’s irrevocable involvement is the invincibility of the invisible stance of wedlock. Ephesians 5:30 reads, “For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.” The 31st verse reveals an earthly phenomenal, “For this cause shall a man leave his father and mot\her, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.” Verse 32 caps it with: “This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.”

I am born again. What next? (1)

adamEve

WE GOT THE SINFUL NATURE FROM OUR PRISTINE PARENTS

The sin of Adam which Lucifer inveigled his wife to commit plunged his descendants into the spiritual chaos man is still battling with all these six millennia. His disobedient act was an eradication of the innocency of his sinlessness at creation. He plunged disastrously into the dispensation of conscience thereby catapulting the entire human race from the dispensation of innocence.

11-god-as-artist-7-638

HE is the first Artist: HE sculptured Adam

Having created Adam in His likeness and, especially, in His image, God was attracted to the impaired state of the image (Christ) and got the fallen Adamic family out of the cataclysmic mess (the soul that sinneth, it shall die -Ezekiel 18:4, 20). God had to slaughter innocent animals to atone for their sin. Even in the stupidity of Cain’s obstinate apostasy God’s munificence reached out to him and offering him the scripture of Genesis 4:7, “If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door.” Here the word ‘sin’ is chaṭṭâ’âh or chaṭṭâ’th (khat-taw-aw’) ‘an offence (sometimes habitual sinfulness), and its penalty, occasion, sacrifice, or expiation; also (concretely) an offender.’ Chaṭṭâ’âh is an allusion to a ‘sin offering.’

‘Lieth’ is râbats (raw-bats’): ‘to crouch (on all four legs folded, like a recumbent animal); by implication to recline, repose, brood, lurk, imbed.’ ‘Lieth,’ conceptualizes the adumbration of the ultimate sin offering that the Lord Jesus must undergo to save the world of sin in His bid to save the lost souls.

Those who are born again have utilized the rational nature of their being to build on the solid rock of Luke 6:47-48. The people of the 49th verse have forsaken Jesus, the surest foundation, and are erroneously in the oblivion of the fact that all other grounds (religions) are sinking sand to hellish gaol.

colossians_1_13_the_kingdom_of_the_son_powerpoint_church_sermon_Slide01

The very second one gets born again he has been translated into the kingdom of God (Colossians 1:13). It is permanently eternal (John 3:16, 10:28-28; 1Corinthians 5:17). You are God’s child (Romans 8:15, 16 & Galatians 4:6). You have been enlisted into the army of Jesus Christ (2Timothy 2:3 & Revelation 19:19). Into the ambassadorial office of the kingdom of Christ, you have been elevated to hold (1Corinthians 5:20). You are a carrier of the Godhead (John 14:17, 23; Romans 8:11; 1Corinthians 3:16).

Fight the Christian ‘Good Fight‘Finish your Course’ & ‘Keep the Faith

The militarized disposition of the born again person is purely spiritual. He is not expected to take up guns and bombs in the expansion of Christianity as was brutally waged by the Pope’s Catholicism, led by Ignatius Loyola. Neither is it to take the semblance of the known Islamist jihads led by Mohammad. The Christian understands the formidability of the unseen satanic forces of demonism which is propelled by the enmity towards God’s kingdom. We do not engage in physical attack on human enemies. We confront the demonic involvement. The Bible says, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12).

img_1049

The armament is found in verses 13-19. It is for this reason we have the words of 2Corinthians 10:3-6, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4) (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6) And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.” The Christian wars are fought on our knees.

As His ambassadors we preach the kerygma; persuading them, using nothing but the revealed theological scriptures, to bring them into the knowledge of the truth. The truth is a Personage -Jesus, the Christ. Amen.

Get truly born again by saying this sinners’ prayer: “Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. How To Get Born Again (part one)

10986038_869855373073904_7741853_n

Man, through Adam, fell and died spiritually. Since the Eden fall mankind had continued to sink in the opprobrium of the contravention of God’s law till it reached the notoriety of Genesis 6:5, “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” Regretfully, the Mosaic account of God’s position in verse 6 reads, “And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.”

There is not a doubt that God had, through His prophet, Adam, told the pristine family of humanity, what to do to appease Him. Jehovah reminded Cain in Genesis 4:7, “If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.” The word ‘sin’ is the Hebrew for chaṭṭâ’âh or chaṭṭâ’th (khat-taw-aw’) means: ‘an offence (sometimes habitual sinfulness), and its penalty, occasion, sacrifice, or expiation.’ ‘Lieth’ is râbats (raw-bats’) ‘to crouch (on all four legs folded, like a recumbent animal); by implication to recline, repose, brood, lurk, imbed.’ A sacrificial lamb: a prefigurement of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ was the sermon Whom Cain repudiated.

At the resurrection of Jesus Christ He is the sole legal tender Lamb of the salvation of mankind. The Bible says in Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” signifying that man is in need of salvation. It also reminds one of Ezekiel 18:4, “Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.” Man has been plunged into an untold spiritual quagmire. Even Nicodemus had no answer to this deeply rooted predicament. This is the profile of Nicodemus. His Greek name Nikodēmos (nik-od’-ay-mos) “conqueror” or ‘victorious among his people,’ was accepted even by the Jewish authorities. He was a member of the Sanhedrin. He was successful. This man could boast of a PhD in theology. And he was a law teacher of the scripture.

He could not understand John 3:3 “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” The word ‘born’ gennaō (ghen-nah’-o) means: ‘to procreate (properly of the father, but by extension of the mother); figuratively to regenerate.’ ‘Again’ is anōthen (an’-o-then): ‘from above; by analogy from the first; by implication anew.’ ‘Except’ and ‘cannot’ are words of negation, pointing to the impossibility of this new birth without following due process i.e. scriptural protocol. The permutational involvement in the rationalistic empiricism of the cultural phenomenon of the physical man beclouded the mind of Nicodemus.

This successful individual could not apprehend the spiritual context from the defining ‘regenerate’ neither could anōthen remind him of a new birth, midwifed by the Holy Ghost, coming from the decree of the One who sits on the throne of the heavenly assizes. Intellectuals, religionists, people of immense illustriousness and the wealthy class will twitch their noses in response to ‘get born again’! It is for this reason Jesus had to give Nicodemus the curative kerygma of John 3:6 “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” He did that to save him from spiritual neurasthenia, a contagium that has bedeviled Christendom. Failure to follow through to the end the teachings of Biblical truism is the result of Lucifer’s incursion into human affairs. Very few churches make the altar call to lead people in the sinners’ prayer of salvation. While John 3:3 is the kerygma call to salvation, the practicality of the format prayer that gets one born again is found in Romans 10:9-10.

The Bible

Romans 10:9-10, 9) “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” ‘Confess’ is: homologeō (hom-ol-og-eh’-o) ‘to say the same thing as another, i.e. to agree with, assent.’ Homologeō is not in connection with an individual’s past sins. It is an acceptability design to get one acquainted with the Lamb to an eventuation of God’s expected acceptance of the Lordship of Jesus by the individual. It must be noted that the King James Version of the Bible that I always use in my exegesis of the scriptures was written in the flowery of the Elizabethan English. Verse nine gives an overview of the context; and what the first words say in our modern day English is, “…that if you should confessedly agree and declare verbally that Jesus is (your) Lord.” The 10th verse takes one through the steps to be taken in this salvaging ritual.

You have to believe the allusion to the kerygma (biblical message) of verse eight. Your heart must believe the finished work of the cross. Your mouth must confess that:

*Jesus is the Son of God. Mark 1:1; Luke 1:35, 22:70; John 3:8.

*Jesus died for your sin. John 1:29; Acts 2:36 & 1John 2:2.

*God raised Him from death. Romans 6:4, 10:9, 1Corinthians 6:14 & Colossians 2:12.

*Jesus is Lord. Psalms 110:1; Jeremiah 23:6; Luke 3:11; John 13:13; Acts 10:36; 1 Corinthians 12:3, 15:47 & Philippians 2:11

LOVE YOUR ENEMIES (3rd part)

No wonder we hear from Jesus to be like children.

 (…continued from 2nd part…)

God is in the business of reconciliation. If anyone decides to destroy another is he not sending a potential born again person to hell, thereby spoiling God’s business? 1Peter 2:13-15, v. 13. Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; v 14. Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. V. 15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men.”

Romans 13:1-6 supports the above scripture. 1. Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 3. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 4. For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. 5. Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. 6. For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.”

You do not need to learn from animals; or do we?

Romans 12:17-21, v.17 “Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. v 18. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. v 19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. v 20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. v 21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.” Verse 17 debunks Dr. D. K. Olukoya’s “Die, my enemy die,” of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry. Verse 19 says, “Avenge not yourselves”, simply because it is written in the holy writ of God, “Vengeance is mine”, in Isaiah 63:4. Can you overcome evil with good by paying evil with imprecations? Food for thought, I believe.

Our Lord Jesus is very nice when it comes to being gracious. When it is about judgment, He is very firm, never allows double standard. We should emulate Jesus. He died for us while we were yet sinners. “Father forgive them for they know not what they do”, was His submission after they had dipped their hands into the treasury of His own sanctuary to pay for the betrayal of the Lord of Sabbath, flogged Him mercilessly, spat on His face, shamefully and cruelly had Him crucified. Jesus prayed for His enemies. Jesus operated under the dispensation of law but He borrowed abundantly from the following dispensation of grace, in which we are these days. Jesus saw faith in a Syrophenician woman and gracefully gave her what legality would not permit Him to hand over (Mark 7:24-30) to a non-Israelite. Peter who promised an absolutely unflinching support, and when the going got tough, swore by thunder in His denial, making him unfit for the ambassadorial post, did find ample grace in the Lord and was restored to his apostolic office. John 3:16 is about the amazing grace of Jehovah, showered on a sinning world of cruelty. “Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida!” He upbraided in Matthew 11:21. “Woe unto the world because of offences!” in Matthew 18:7. Jesus did not spare the scribes and the Pharisees in Matthew 23:13 and to blind guides in verse16. Jesus did not exempt Judas Iscariot from an impending woe in Matthew 26:24; and Jews received an imprecation for the murder of their prophets in Luke 11:46. In Luke 11:52 Jesus said, Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered”. These are prophetic warnings to check excesses.   (Concluded)

THE SIN QUESTION (2nd Part)

sin

The Vedas (1500–1200 BCE), depict heaven as the domain of sky gods such as Indra, the thunder god; Surya, the Sun; Agni, the sacrificial fire; Soma, the heavenly elixir (embodied on earth as an intoxicating plant); Varuna, the overseer of cosmic order; and Yama, the first human to die. Ritual sacrifice was deemed essential for world maintenance, and funeral rites ensured that the spirit of the deceased would ascend to the “world of the fathers” on high. Rebirth in heaven depended upon having male householder descendants to sponsor the necessary rites. The Hindu worship throws Indians into a disturbing predicament should they fail to procreate. The Bible says that the virgin birth of Jesus and His gory atonement settles the score of the sin question.

The Hebrew word for ‘sin’ is: chaṭṭa’ah (khat-taw-aw’) or chaṭṭa’th (kwat-tawth) which comes from (chata’ [khaw-taw]: ‘to miss, forfeit, lack, repent or expiate’). From its root chaṭṭa’ah has a dual definition of ‘offence and sin offering or expiation.’ The Greek calls it hamartia (ham-ar-tee’-ah): ‘offence, missing the mark’. In 2Corinthians 5:21, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him”; what Paul is teaching here is that Jesus was made a ‘sin offering’ (who never ‘missed the mark of righteousness’), becoming the solution to the, ten billion pound sterling, sin question!

Secular Humanists see themselves as gods, therefore, they have no sins to redress. Well, I know what the Bible says in 1John 1:8. To the Moslem, the decimation of unbelievers of Islam, and good doing ensures heavenly bliss. Isaiah 64:6 says, “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away” (check out what Galatians 3:21 also says about righteousness). The Hindus will probably feel so blessed to have a whole pantheon to choose from, and besides karma will give them another body: of plant, animal or human. Bleakness of obliviousness! My judgment is an echo of the Scriptures. Deuteronomy 6:4 “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD”, and the Book of James 1:8-9. ‘God’ in Deuteronomy is elowhiym (God – in the plural), ‘LORD’ is Jehovah – self-existing God; while ‘one’ is: ‘echad (ekh-awd’) ‘A numeral; properly united, that is, one; or (as an ordinal) first’. From the mouth of the atheist I hear a bellow, “O, save me your balderdash!” He hisses and concludes in a whisper, “There’s no such thing as God, forget it”. Open the Bible and it reads somewhere: “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt…” in Psalm 14:1. Very deep thinking ones who think that they are too smart to be tutored by the words of the Bible have been able to fashion a way or ways for themselves. 2Thessalonians 2:11 has taken care of the gainsayers, “And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie”, please, do read it from verse one to the 12th.

Christianity is the only form of worship that cannot be called a religion in the sense that it is the way (hodos – destiny) of life (zoe – God’s kind of life). Destiny, in this context, is the distance between the point of the commencement of a journey and the final destination. Jesus is both the hodos and the zoe. HE is the author (aitios – causer or beginner) and the finisher (teleiotes – completeness, perfecter) of our faith (pistis – believing; the only element needed to apprehend God and His blessings). The only bridge, the sole connector and the connectivity between the corruptness of this sinful world and the Ultimate One, God. 1Timothy 2:5, James 1:23-24, Galatians 3:21-24, Hebrews 8:6 & 9:15.

The mystery of the sin question is in the fact that it was first perpetrated by Lucifer. When one sins, it is to a spiritual Entity, hence, a spiritual problem. The father of sin, Lucifer, Satan, the Devil, under whom all sinners must come, in spiritual slavery, is too formidable an enemy to be vanquished by any or all found in sin; he is much too older, too wise, too invincible and too invisible for anyone to engage him in combat.

God is love, 1 John 4:8. An attribute of that love (agapē [ag-ah’-pay]: affection, benevolence, love feast) is His beneficence. One great man defined this love as: “A love called out of the heart of a lover on account of the value the lover has placed on the object of his love”. Agape is a feminine noun, it is a love of commitment, it is not a feeling. God rose up to the demand of the occasion, brought out love and showered it on mankind; HE gave the ultimate Gift: Himself.

God the Son became our champion, met face to face with our foe, and having dealt decisively with the old dragon, Jesus asked, “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?” [1Corinthians 15:55]. The LORD God has remedied the sin question! Hallelujah!! Amen!!!

WHY GO ARMINIANISTIC SOTERIOLOGY (2nd Part)

Once I saw the well renowned, global evangelist, Benny Hinn on television telling his audience, “If you do not remember anything at all about the loss of salvation, do not forget Matthew 24:13, “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” Do I care which great pastor is teaching what? As long as it is unscriptural I am against you, standing on the truth of the Word! You just cannot pull out a verse and treat it in isolation of the pictorial context. This verse is always used by Arminians to support their soteriological disposition. This verse, which forms part of Jesus’ teaching beginning from verse three to twenty-four is eschatologically dimensioned (verse 3); its Antichrist involvement (verse 15) is an attestation, because he will rule only after the rapture. The ones who must endure will be those who rejected the simple gospel of John 3:3 so, were left behind to pay with their own blood (2Thessalonians 2:3-11). Verse 22 speaks of ‘shortened’ and ‘elects’ meaning that the wicked antichrist, son of perdition will be allowed only 3 and a half years (Daniel 7:25 & 12:7; Revelation 11:2-3 & 12:14) out of his one week (i.e. seven years) in order to save the remnant elect from being tortured to, an eternal adokimos, submission; what a gracious God! This is about the last days hence eschatological, unless you will want to argue blindly that the rapture, which I am expecting, has already and erroneously, taken place! And for such scriptures as Matthew 5:27-30, our Lord is seriously warning against an inability to cast, with promptitude, a member of your very person that the Devil is always using against you, out. Many, for wanting to enjoy certain vices till a particular period, will resort to procrastination. Such are yet to enter the kingdom, in which when a soul gains an entrance becomes eternally a citizen therein; and so many scriptures support this scriptural reality.

The only criterion that qualifies a man to receive the gift of eternal life in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life;” is ‘believeth’ and the Greek word is, pisteuō (pist-yoo’-o) meaning: ‘to think to be true, to be persuaded of, to credit, place confidence in; to trust in Jesus or God as able to aid either in obtaining or in doing something: saving faith; entrust (especially one’s spiritual well being to Christ).’ The three ‘believe’ words in verse 18 have the same pisteuo. I hear our people say, “But you cannot …., without being righteous,” implying the impossibility of this life without outward perseverance of doing ‘good’ as well. There are scriptures to settle this (Colossians 3:3-4; 1John 5:11; Romans 4:6-7, 10:4; 2Corinthians 5:21; Philippians 3:9 & Titus 3:5) which prove that our righteousness is just not ours but is of Christ and hid in Him so that we will not by any omission or commission of the fallible flesh lose it again! Praise the LORD! It, our salvation, is well kept in the Eternal One. This is not to say that we should not be doing the good deeds expected of saved ones.

John 10:27-30 says that born again souls are doubly secured: in Jesus’ hand and the Father’s. They have eternal life because they hear His voice, how? The Holy Spirit is in them, and ‘no one can pluck them from His hand’ the word ‘pluck’ is harpazō (har-pad’-zo): ‘to seize, carry off by force; to seize on, claim for one’s self eagerly; to snatch out or away.’ Do note that these scriptures do not present any strings attached to salvation. Eternal life is what is always promised and it is by the One whose seat and pronouncements emanate from eternity. In John 17:9-12, Jesus is praying for the saved souls asking the Father to ‘keep’ them even as He had ‘kept’ them. Avowed Arminians will point out that Jesus was praying for His eleven disciples only, verse twenty says, “Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;” therefore I, the author, am well kept! The word ‘keep’ is the Greek, tēreō (tay-reh’-o), meaning: ‘to attend to carefully, take care of; to guard; metaphorically to keep one in the state in which he is; a watch; to guard (from loss or injury, properly by keeping the eye upon).’ Read the famous Pauline Romans 8:35-39 and let us see someone sum up courage to tell us what can possibly separate sanctified ones from Christ. In 1Peter 1:3-5, the word ‘kept’ in verse 5 is: phroureō (froo-reh’-o): ‘to guard, protect by a military guard, either to prevent hostile invasion, or to keep the inhabitants of a besieged city from flight; metaphorically under the control of the Mosaic law, that he might not escape from its power; to protect by guarding, to keep by watching and guarding to preserve one for the attainment of something.’ If God be the Keeper, the kept have no hand in the safety of the kept object. You certainly cannot be another keeper so, God, in His infinite wisdom makes it His sole preserve to keep you safe. Amen!

“According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love;” Ephesians 1:4 is an intimation of God having chosen us in Christ. ‘Before the foundation of the world,’ points to Christ’s eternal nature (i.e. not being a product of creationism). The verb ‘be’ is: einai (i’-nahee) ‘to be, to exist, to happen, to be present.’ [Einai is a present infinitive from (eime – to exist – it is the same as ‘am’ in ‘I AM THAT I AM’)]. The existence of a born again Christian is a holy presence before God, in love, agape, in Greek, which one saint defined as “a love called out of the heart of a lover on account of the value the lover has placed on the object of his love.” Once you become God’s child, you are constantly holy, blameless and loved! HE ensures our state of being, by making it: (a) ‘holy’ [hagios (hag’-ee-os) ‘most holy thing, a saint; sacred (physically pure, morally blameless or religious, ceremonially consecrated),’ (b) ‘without blame’ [amōmos (am’-o-mos): ‘without blemish; as a sacrifice without spot or blemish; morally: without blemish, faultless, unblameable; unblemished (literally or figuratively): – without blame (blemish, fault, spot)]’. This is what we are in Christ, the phenomenal Person of the expression of His agape. And this is what the great Paul is telling the Church at Ephesus.

Why go the way of Arminian Remonstrant soteriologically and not of the pure scripture as it is written in Romans 5:8-11? Verse 8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” The adverb, ‘yet,’ is: eti (et’-ee): ‘yet, still: of time; of a thing which went on formerly, whereas now a different state of things exists or has begun to exist; of a thing which continues at present: even, now’. It was not because of the goodness of my deeds that made Jesus to come down and die for me, not at all! I was busily and systematically (and probably enjoying) living in my sins when He chose to do it! Rom. 5:9, “Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” Justified is dikaioō (dik-ah-yo’-o) ‘to show, exhibit, evince, one to be righteous, such as he is and wishes himself to be considered; to declare, pronounce, one to be just, righteous, or such as he ought to be; to render (that is, show or regard as) just or innocent.’ Dikaioo says our justification in Christ presents us before God, just as if we never sinned. The next word is ‘saved,’ sozo (sode’-zo): ‘to save, i.e. deliver or protect {literally or figuratively}, rescue from danger.’ Every sinner should be expecting a certain anger from God. A saved soul, this verse tells us is saved from wrath: ‘orge (or-gay’) ‘desire; (by analogy) violent passion (ire or (justifiable) abhorrence); (by implication) punishment.’

Verse ten, “For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.” Paul has painted a most graphic and magnificent picture, in this tenth verse, concerning preservation of the saints. If you have ‘read’, truly, ‘out of’ the scripture and not the wrong way of reading ‘into it’ then you want to study some words: enemies and reconciled. Enemies, in the Greek is echthros (ech-thros): ‘hostile, hating, and opposing another; used of men as at enmity with God by their sin; opposing (God) in the mind; the devil who is the most bitter enemy of the divine government; (to hate); hateful (passively odious, or actively hostile) usually as a noun, an adversary (especially Satan).’ This is the spiritual position man was found before Jesus chose to die for mankind. ‘Reconciled’ is katallassō (kat-al-las’-so): ‘to change, exchange, as coins for others of equivalent value; to reconcile (those who are at variance); return to favour with, be reconciled to one; to receive one into favour; to change mutually, that is, (figuratively) to compound a difference’. This katallaso (mutual exchange) which was effected as a result of His death, Paul teaches, gives a better assurance of being saved (sozo) from the White Throne Judgment. What is sozo? It means: ‘to save, keep safe and sound, to rescue from danger or destruction; to save that is, deliver or protect (literally or figuratively).’ In verse eleven we have ‘atonement’, (which is taken from katallaso,) is katallagē (kat-al-lag-ay): ‘(in the NT), of the restoration of the favour of God to sinners that repent and put their trust in the expiatory death of Christ; exchange (figuratively, adjustment), that is, restoration to (the divine) favour.’ Looking at the meaning of ‘atonement,’ what is deciphered is, ‘at one ment’ (i.e. with God); this is what spiritual regeneration does for us.

For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance” Romans 11:29. Gift, in this verse is: charisma (khar’-is-mah) ‘a (divine) gratuity, i.e. deliverance (from danger or passion); (specially), a (spiritual) endowment; (subjectively) religious qualification; (objectively) miraculous faculty; (free) gift.’ What about ‘calling’? It is klesis (klay`-sis) ‘a calling; (specially) a divine calling; (figuratively) an invitation (by extension) a name.’ Two words, ‘without repentance’ (made up of ‘a’a negation, and metamellomai –to care afterwards, i.e. regret) is the Greek word ametameletos (am-et-am-el’-ay-tos): ‘irrevocable; not to be repented of. ‘ You see, God will not call you His child, a born again whose birth was midwifed my the Holy Spirit and then by a commission or an unforeseen omission say, afterwards, that you are no longer His bona fide son; the transaction of the gory cross is sacrosanct, irrefutable. Philippians 1:6, “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” Paul is ‘confident’ [peitho (̄pi’-tho): ‘to persuade, i.e. to induce one by words to believe; to convince (by argument, true or false); by analogy to pacify or conciliate (by other fair means); reflexively or passively to assent (to evidence or authority), to rely (by inward certainty’)] of this very thing i.e. ‘object of prayer’, that He that has begun [enarchomai (en-ar’-khom-ahee): ‘to begin, to commence on]’ a good work (i.e. fellowship of the saved) in you will perform [epiteleō (ep-ee-tel-eh’-o) ‘to bring to an end, accomplish, perfect, execute, complete] it up to the day of Jesus Christ (which ought to be every believer’s focus rather than everyone’s own death),’ read verse ten; 1Corinthians 1:8; Luke 1:74, 75; 1Thessalonians3:13, 5:23, 24; Colossians 1:21, 22 and for those entertainers of the fear of losing it, check 1John 3:20, 21. Paul wrote in 2Timothy 1:12, “…. for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.” ‘Keep’, in this verse is, phulasso: ‘to keep from being snatched away, preserve safe and unimpaired, to guard from being lost or perishing; it is probably from [phule (foo-lay): nation, tribe or people] through the idea of isolation; to watch, that is, be on guard (literally or figuratively); by implication to preserve.’ When we got born again we committed [parathēkē (par-ath-ay’-kay): ‘a deposit, a trust or thing consigned to one’s faithful keeping, a deposit, that is, (figuratively) trust]’ our spirit, soul and body into the hand of God unto the last day (of Christ’s coming). A very interesting one is in 1Peter 1:2-5, we read in verse 2, “Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit…,” in the 3rd verse, “….hath he begotten us again unto a lively hope…”, the 4th promises, “…reserved in heaven for you,” and the ‘kept’ of the fifth is phroureo, which I have explained earlier. John 6:27, “Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.” They asked Jesus how they could work for God in the next verse and He told them in verse 29, “Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.” Faith in Him is the only prerequisite for the entrance into heaven. The word ‘work’ is ergon ‘(a primary but obsolete word; to work); toil (as an effort or occupation); by implication an act.’ So, our Christian toil is not a physical one, it is wholly spiritual. This is why I am always insisting that when a person is truly saved, a one who had said the sinners’ prayer, sincerely, from his heart and not doubting, he is definitely going to heaven. The ‘sealed’ in the 27th verse is sphragizō (sfrag-id’-zo): ‘to set a seal upon, mark with a seal; to stamp (with a signet or private mark) for security or preservation (literally or figuratively); by implication to keep secret, to attest.’
