MUHAMMAD DENIES THE DIVINITY OF JESUS (1)

1)            The obvious problem with Prophet Muhammad anent the divinity of Jesus is its grounding in the Trinitarian concept of the Bible. Christianity having extended over a considerable space of the globe, Muhammad must do his Allahu akbar missionary work; and he believed an attack on the Christian Christ is most appropriate to sell his Arabic religion, known to be truly of Petra (up, far north of Mecca, close to Jordan) origin. The plain truth is that every known religion has a divine silhouette of the Christ. Islam’s adoption of the Christ is an unbiblical ‘Isa’ – a mere prophet of an Allah, a non-Jewish deity.

The Person of Jesus has all the incontrovertible trappings of the Divinity. From Genesis, the running thematic thread, to Revelation, the culminating Book of the Bible, is none other than Jesus Christ. The first named Entity of the Bible is God, In Genesis 1:1, which in Hebrew couch is ‘Elohiym (el-o-heem’): ‘1. (literally) supreme ones. 2. (hence, in the ordinary sense) gods. 3. (specifically, in the plural, especially with the article) the Supreme God (i.e. the all supreme).’ There are Divine Persons in the Elohiym: the Father who spoke, “Let there be Light;” the Holy Spirit of the second verse, who moved upon the face of the waters”, and the Light of verse 3, through Whom the creationism came into being (John 1:1-3).

Can a mere prophet be the grand theme of the entire protocolary institution of God’s lifestyle? Can an entity’s word not be appropriately an aggregation of himself? The Person, acts and being of Jesus Christ constitute the true picture of the Eternal Father. All that God is trying to tell the created beings of intelligence is Jesus the Christ, which is, and which was, and which is to come. Amen. Is Jesus the Word of God? The Greek for ‘Word’ is Logos. The Greek philosophers believed that there must be something that serves as the medium between God and men. When John wrote the Book of John, he used ‘Logos’ to enable Greek readers of the Bible to understand that the logos – of their philosophical meditation – is actually a Divine Personage. And God made sure no religious leader ever made the verbalism of John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Why? Jesus has the answer to the ‘why’, when He made the asseveration, “…for without me ye can do nothing” of John 15:5. It is germane, it is it, and it is categorical.

The words of the Qur’an in Al-Ma’idah 5:72 reads:They have certainly disbelieved who say, “Allah is the Messiah, the son of Mary” while the Messiah has said, “O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.” Indeed, he who associates others with Allah – Allah has forbidden him Paradise, and his refuge is the Fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers.

Tafsir (i.e. commentary): The Disbelief of the Christians; Allah says; Surely, they have disbelieved who say: “Allah is the Messiah (`Isa), son of Maryam.” Allah states that the Christians such sects as Monarchite, Jacobite and Nestorite are disbelievers, those among them who say that `Isa is Allah. Allah is far holier than what they attribute to Him. They made this claim in spite of the fact that `Isa made it known that he was the servant of Allah and His Messenger. The first words that `Isa uttered when he was still a baby in the cradle were, “I am Abdullah (the servant of Allah).” He did not say, “I am Allah,” or, “I am the son of Allah.”

Now let us get something straightened concerning this Al-Ma’idah verse 72. If Allah is not the Messiah, then Allah, the Islamic deity, has nothing to offer soteriologically: seeing that the Messianic office is essentially of the salvation of sinful man.

I, most definitely, would not be a fan of the sects mentioned in this verse. The Muhammadan grouse, however, with sects of Monarchite, Jacobite and Nestorite has to do with an aspect of what they teach: the deity of Jesus Christ. Muhammad hates, with passion, any teaching that accords with the Divinity of the Christ. He is called Jesus Christ which looks like ‘Jesus, the Son of Christ’. In a way, that is correct. Christ had been from timelessness of eternity past: uncreated. Jesus began His existence inside the womb of the Virgin Mary. While Jesus is a being of creation, Christ is the Author of the creationism. The theological essentiality of Jesus Christ is the hypostatic union, an irrevocable facticity of scriptural establishment. It is the union of God and man in a singular being of the Incarnation. You see one person called Jesus Christ, but the theological fact is that the Marian parturient is the duality of God and man: the Hypostatic Union. Amen!

When He said, “I thirst,” that was the humanity of Jesus Christ. God is never in want, as a matter of fact. When He experienced tiredness and had to sleep or rest, that was the human nature of the hypostatic union. How do I know that Christ does not fall asleep? It says of Him as the covenant Keeper in Psalm 121:4 “Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.” When He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life;” when we heard the scriptural, “…and the Word was made flesh,” and when He made the pronouncement, “I am the resurrection,” those were the utterances of the Divine nature of the Christ. How can He say, “…without Me ye canst do nothing,” if the nature of Divinity is not of the hypostatic union? When He looked at them and produced the express vocality of, “Before Abraham was, I am,” what irked their adrenaline convulsions was that, after He uttered the first three words, He concluded with, “I Am,” dramatically placing His wide spread hand on His chest, to claim the sobriquet of the covenant name, making Jesus the Jehovah. He actually called Himself, “JEHOVAH!”

Jehovah’s Witness Myopic View Of Jesus (I)

Yeshua

Who is this Yehoshua? The God-man, the LORD, Jesus.

It is quite appalling when one observes the intransigent denial of the deity of Jesus by the Jehovah’s Witness doctrine. “Jesus can’t be God,” they go knocking, from a door to other available doors. Do I wonder how they read John 1:1, the lucidity of which stipulates, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God?” The intransigence of their scriptural stance will not let me.

The word ‘beginning’ is archē (ar-khay’) in Greek, and it means: ‘(properly abstract) a commencement, or (concrete) chief (in various applications of order, time, place or rank).’ The commencement is not, in any way, in reference to God’s or Christ’s existence. Time is absolutely too weak to ever measure the agelessness of the Divinity. The ‘beginning,’ ergo, is the embarkation of His work. Now if at the embarkment of God’s creation there was another entity, it then follows that He was not alone. If the Bible says, “In the beginning” it also means that nothing, of creationism, had been brought into being yet. Amen!

Simple logic should inform anyone that whatever or whoever exists before creation is indubitably as eternal as Jehovah! ‘Word’ in the Greek is logos (log’-os): ‘something said (including the thought); by implication a topic (subject of discourse), also reasoning (the mental faculty) or motive; by extension a computation; specifically (with the article in John) the Divine Expression (that is, Christ).’ Logos is the totality of God’s mind, thought, word and being. Did God have to create the Word before creationism? That will be tantamount to His Divine dumbness ere creation. So, the correct answer will be a resounding, “No! He wasn’t dumb.”

THIS IS JESUS: the express word of Jehovah

Ergo, the Word is the Eternal One also. The Word is intrinsically of God, the Father! Is there any difference between a person and the word of his mouth? None, I believe. John 14:10, “Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.” They are, as the WORD reveals in this verse, co-eternal.

The very first word of John 1:1, ‘in’ is an interesting en (en) Thayer Definition: ‘in, by, with etc. Origin: a primary preposition denoting (fixed) position (in place, time or state), and (by implication) instrumentality (medially or constructively), i.e. a relation of rest {it is an intermediate between eis (ice) ‘A primary preposition; to or into (indicating the point reached or entered), of place, time, or (figuratively) purpose (result, etc.); also in adverbial phrases;’ and ek ex (ek) ‘A primary preposition denoting origin (the point whence motion or action proceeds), from, out (of place, time or cause; literally or figuratively; direct or remote}.’ The definition of ‘in’ proves that as God was contemplating what and how to create, the eternal Word, Logos, was already in existence.

The seated Father, the Saviour Son & the ubiquitous Spirit: The Trinity.

The Word, and God, and of course the Holy Spirit were the real Creators –constituting one worshipped God (and there’s a reason for that). John would not have penned, “and the word was a god” as wickedly scripted in the Jehovah’s Witness’ “New World Translation” of their bible. The Septuagint does not have an article before the last ‘God.’ Now, when the Greek uses the definite article before a person or object it is a way of designation or pointing out that object. But when the article is left out, the Greek is bringing out the inherent nature or quality of the object or person. This is a Greek idiom called the anarthous. What John meant by leaving out the article is: “and the Word was of the very nature or quality of God.” Is it not on the American judicial record that Charles Taze Russell, the founder of the Jehovah’s Witness, did not know Greek?

The Ancient of days; who became the Infant of days! JESUS!!

You can get born again by praying this prayer with all your heart and truthfully: Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe in my heart that Jesus died for my sins and You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord, and I receive Him as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory, Amen.        (…to be continued…)
