14)          Ventilate your celibacy for the church business; gain admission into the theological seminary of Catholicism, bag the first degree and your priesthood in the Catholic Church is certain. And what I do know of the American bred Apostolic Faith is that, just as what obtains in other church organizations, in addition, you must have your own mundane job as you pastor a local assembly of their church. They do not pay enough to take care of pastors’ financial needs. Similar manifestations are found in the pastoral ascendance of Christ Apostolic Church, The Apostolic Church, Mountain of Fire Ministries, and White Garment Churches. Each organization will tell you, “These are the Divine rules and regulations of our church,” as pertaining to each one, different from others. Is the LORD God that of confusion? God forbid! The members of Celestial Church of Christ (founded by S.B. Oshoffa) must never attempt to wear shoes, sandals or slippers the second the white garment of church attendance is put on – unscriptural Divine rule. The Cherubim and Seraphim sect of White Garment Churches (founded by Moses Orimolade) must wear the white garment to church, are allowed to put on footwear but must never enter the church auditorium in those footwear!

                They are not without a backing Scripture. “And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground” (Exodus 3:5). Here, with Moses and there, as in the case of Joshua, God needed to get the attention of the approaching servant. In the obedience to His authority, it was clear that like Moses, Joshua readily accepted the leading of the LORD of host, God the Son, in His pre-incarnational appearance. Twice was this phenomenality. The first was to call Moses to the service of leading Israel to the Promised Land; the second, by the same Entity, was to embolden Joshua for the task of the eventual entrance into God’s promise. Nowhere in the exodus of the people of Israel, in the wilderness did Moses tell them to take off their shoes or sandals in the worship of Jehovah. Read the nineteenth chapter of Exodus, where God told Moses to get Israel ready to meet Him, there is no mention of any footwear. “Put off thy shoes from off thy feet,” was only to get the necessary attention. Period.

                When Jesus was about to begin His ministry He did not go outside the people of Israel. Why? Israel had received the call to be God’s children and ambassadors on earth by the Old Testamentary Covenant. Who did the Holy Spirit descend upon on the day of Pentecost? It was upon those who were in expectation of the miracle of enduement. Every Apostle was personally given the apostolic appointment by the Head of the Church, Christ Jesus. Every pastor of any local assembly must first receive the indubitable divine call to God’s service in His vineyard. What goes on these days? They either call themselves into God’s Church Business or have an unscriptural “Leading or Senior Pastor” get them called into the pastoral service. There is nothing like senior pastor, check The Acts of the Apostles; you will not find two pastors in any local assembly, no matter how large it is.

                As great the prophetic offices of Elijah and Elisha were, neither of them led the sacerdotal ordinance of any synagogue or of the Jerusalem Temple. Heads of Christ Apostolic Churches and almost all White Garment Churches are headed by prophets. Is a prophet not under the ecclesiastical headship of the pastor? Prove me wrong; show it to me from the couch of Scripture. I know what lots of untutored church going people will say, “Prophets are more powerful than pastors.” What they fail to understand is that the taught word is much more powerful than “thus saith the LORD” – which is a cautionary intimation. The pastors – who must be truly called – are the custodians of the WORD (which is the power of God). The Pastor is administrative head, the teacher and the holder of the local assembly’s sacerdotal office; others serve in the church under the pastor.

                The Church prophets, who, evidently, tend towards the “holier than thou” ecclesiastical empiricism, believe that they should be the teachers of pastors. Unbelievable, but it is true.

                What happens to be the fashion nowadays is the throng emergence of the so-called “Apostles”. Definitely, they do not understand that an Apostle originally had pastors under his tutelage, based on The Acts of the Apostles understanding of the nascent Church nurturing into her adulthood. The Apostolic office was created to nurse the nascency of the Church in the days of Peter, John, James, Andrew, Paul and the rest. Check the Apostolic writings, they contain not a smidgeon of Scriptural error. They heard and learnt directly from the source of the Divinity: and taught flawlessly. By the time of their exits the Pastors had come of theological age to steer the vehicle of each local assembly properly. Pastors, from the day of the exit of John the Divine, author of the Revelation, had taken the pastoral mantle of every local assembly, independent of any so-called G.O.s, G.S.s, Bishops, Archbishops, Primates or the Pope. The Roman Catholic Pope actually began these scriptural anomalies of scriptural small-mindedness. As theologians of dissenting views broke away from Catholicism, they failed to do a clean cut off from the umbilical cord of the Pope’s Catholicism.

You cannot work in God’s vineyard unless you are born again

                To be fit for the vineyard business of the Holy Spirit, you must be a born again child of God. Jesus breathed the Spirit into them who were about to do His work on earth. “And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:” (John 20:22) which got its fulfillment in Acts 2:4 “And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” You cannot work for God unless you speak in tongues. Acts 6:3 “Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.” It will surprise you that many church leaders are not “men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom.” To be full of the Holy Ghost is to have the ability to speak in other tongues otherwise called the glossolalia. Of course, many have perfected the mimicry of the glossolalia, just to deceive. Not all that effuses, “mamamama hehe lakaykay sakayna” are truly born again. Selah!

                Getting born again is a conscious effort on the part of an individual. Get born again. Say this sinner’s prayer.

“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”

Christian Church Service

13)          Let us find out how pastors emerge to shepherd local assembly of churches. Did the LORD God take all of the availability of clayey substances on the terra firma to form the intelligent Adamic creatures? Of the mammoth abundance of sticky substance of the dust, God chose to pick a very small amount to perfect the sculptural art of Adamic reality. It is His eternal call to choose who represents His Divine business. What does the scriptural small-mindedness of professed Christians opt to do?

                Growing up around the mid 70’s, my father’s brother, Uncle Popoola, served as the pastor of a small village church of a farmland community. He could read and conduct church services of the Baptist Church; and that qualified him to be the pastor of the church. After some years of his ecclesiastical official duties, something happened. A call to another religious duty was thrown into his laps. Those who told him of his mandatory obligation to this other call gave him no choice. He must accept it or face the ominous consequences of disregarding the religion of the god of his forefathers. Our family compound worships the masquerade idolatry (Egúngún – in Yoruba language).

                With tears rolling down the distraught mug of my Uncle, he believed he had no choice but to abandon the ecclesiastical office of the Church to give the rest of his life in the commitment to the office of the Alágbàáà (priest of Egúngún). Will a Reverend Chris Okotie jettison the ecclesiastical leadership of The Household of God Church and return to the priesthood of his late father’s family idolatry, and would Chris Okotie even think of going back to where he began his Christian life, The Roman Catholic Church? Okotie will never do that! Or is it to be expected that Pastor Tunde Bakare will one day decide to go back to Islam of his birth? Tunde Bakare, who has his life hidden in Jesus Christ, will never contemplate it. No true Christian will ever, for any reason, whatsoever, dump Christianity for another form of worship.

                Scriptural small-mindedness, no doubt, is the first reason why my Uncle left the Christian pastoral office. The fear of the cultism at the vanguard of the aboriginal worship is the second reason for leaving Christianity. The third and most important reason being that he was not born again did take the intelligence of his reasoning away from the facticity of the words of Hebrews 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” If Jesus had truly called him to the Church business, my uncle would have told them, “Jesus, the Lord of glory, has appointed me as His vessel for His Kingdom; you better join me in this journey into eternal life of blissfulness with the Creator, the God of the Bible, if you want it to be well with you.” Of course, they would have thrown intimidating scare in his face, but the One which is, and which was, and which is to come would have protected my late Uncle Popoola from the malicious wiles of idolatrous enemies of the gospel, and by extension, Jesus.

                Show vivacious interest in the pastoral office and better still, attend the Seminary, especially Baptist oriented one, show your certificate to the Baptist Church and you are qualified for the bucolic duties of the Baptist Church – whether Jesus has called you to His Church service or not.

Pastor E.A. Adeboye

                Be an ardent church attendee, have a fair knowledge of the Bible; and if you actively take part in church activities and most especially, from what truly obtains, if you happen to be very rich enough to fund church building or buildings, The RCCG, under the General Overseer, E.A. Adeboye, is much more than ready to offer you a pastoral office under his hegemony. Once you complete an auditorium and supervise it for a year or two, you will be posted to another uncompleted church. By the time your money helps build more auditoria for the Church, your promotion springs in alacrity to the topmost echelon in the RCCG WORLDWIDE.

12)          One thing Christians incessantly do is the eulogy of their G.O.s’, G.S.s’, Primates’ and Pastors’ ‘huge anointing’. They believe one anointing differs from others. Pastor Adeboye, for instance, is believed to carry an anointing much more powerful than so many men of God, hence, the monthly Holy Ghost Night is full of unexpected miraculous phenomenality. Inadvertently Adeboye is worshipped especially by some or many of his church members. I told Pastor S.O. about the fact that many members 0f The RCCG walk up to the seat of Pastor Adeboye, kneel to pray after each Church service; members queue up waiting for the turn of the rarest privilege to tap into the “most potent” anointing from the G.O. himself! Do you know what Pastor S.O.’s response to kneeling before Adeboye’s seat to pray was? “I have done so myself,” that was his response. Coming from a pastor, it should be quite easy to have church people to have been hoodwinked to view the likes of Adeboye, not only as the Lord’s Generals but people of immense veneration fit for deities. The unfortunate thing is that church people hardly are aware of this ecclesiastical phenomenology. The so called “Fathers in the Lord” do enjoy the fawning veneration dutifully rendered by anointing-hungry church people.

                Anointing has its first mention in Exodus 29:21 “And thou shalt take of the blood that is upon the altar, and of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon the garments of his sons with him: and he shall be hallowed, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons’ garments with him.” The Hebraic ‘anointing’, mishchâh (meesh-khaw’), means: ‘ointment (used to consecrate by anointing) – it comes from mâshach (maw-shakh’) ‘to smear, anoint, spread a liquid – unction (the act); by implication a consecratory gift.’ The other word of interest is ‘hallowed’, qâdash (kaw-dash’): ‘to consecrate, sanctify, prepare, dedicate, be holy, be sanctified, be separate; to be set apart.’ We have in Leviticus 8:12 “And he poured of the anointing oil upon Aaron’s head, and anointed him, to sanctify him.” If you have ever heard of ‘the anointing breaks the yoke’ it comes from Isaiah 10:27 “And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.” John the Baptist said something in Matthew 3:11 “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:” which is not different from being anointed.

Holy Spirit anointing abides in us.

                1John 2:27 “But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.” We (all regenerated souls of Christianity) receive this anointing to set us apart unto the thrice holy Jehovah. In the Old Testamentary order the oil, emblematic of the Holy Spirit, is poured on the head of God’s ministers, both political and ecclesiastical office holders. From the Day of Pentecost, it was the very Spirit, the Third Member of the Godhead, Who was poured in consecration of the new species of mankind, the born again Christians. Did the Holy Spirit tear Himself into tiny fragments, each piece of Him in every Christian? That cannot be, He is not in any verse of Scripture fragmented in distribution. The wholeness of His Divinity is seated in every Christian, making each living entity of Christianity a bona fide carrier of God! Amen. No Christian has a greater percentage of the anointing than another, seeing that what constitutes our anointing is the indwelling of the Holy Ghost.

Saint Augustine of Hippo

11)          Let us look at one of the verses of soteriology in John 5:24, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” Akouo (a-kou’-ō) is the Greek for ‘heareth’ which means: ‘1. to hear. 2. (by implication) to listen. 3. (thus) to engage the mind to comprehend what is being heard (i.e. hearken).’ The next act of soteriological expectation is ‘believeth’ that is pisteuo (piy-stev’-ō): ‘1. to trust (in, upon, or with respect to, a person or thing), i.e. credit. 2. (passively) to be convinced. 3. (also) to entrust (especially with one’s spiritual well-being to Christ).’ Once a man, born of sin, hears the gospel of redemption and believes in the finished work of Jesus, and culminating in the acceptance of Jesus as LORD and Saviour, Jesus Christ made the Divine assured asseveration of “hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”

                The word ‘shall’ and ‘come’ is the same erchomai (er’-cho-mai): ‘to come or go.’ The judgmental ‘condemnation’ is krisis (kriy’-sis): ‘1. decision (subjectively or objectively, for or against). 2. (by extension) a tribunal. 3. (by implication) justice (especially, divine law); ‘everlasting’ is aionios (ai-ō’-niy-os) meaning: ‘perpetual (also used of past time, or past and future as well).’ Zoe (zō-ee’) is the Greek for ‘life’: ‘1. life†. (more than merely the present physical or natural life). 2. life-above. (above or elevated in relation to the mere physical condition. There may be strong connotations and direct inferences to Spiritual, Kingdom, or Eternal life in certain contexts, but not always. This word deserves special demarcation and attention). 3. epithet of Jesus (John 14:6), the source of life (Col 1:16-17), both of the natural existence and above this mere bodily existence.’

Believe in Jesus, accept Him as Lord and Saviour: and He does the eternal rest.

                The expected act of deliverance from sinful nature is to ‘believe’ sincerely from the heart. The LORD God takes over from that point with the bestowal of everlasting life of Divinity. It comes with the guarantee of emphasis of ‘shall not come’ – in coming, you will never come into hellish condemnation –, and that is the essence of the use of erchomai twice of John 5:24. One thing I know of God is that He is not verbose, hence, ‘in coming he shall not come’ into condemnation lays emphasis on Divine earnest. What does it say in John 10:28? “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” ‘Pluck’ is vicious a harpazo (har-pa’-zō): ‘to seize.’ The assured reason why we Christians shall never perish is because Divine insurance ensures eternal assurance so that no one can pluck us from the state of divine soteriology.

                With all these given Scriptures, my fellow Christians will stubbornly point out that, “Without righteousness no one will go to heaven,” believing that we must keep doing righteous deeds in order not to lose the salvation. Getting born again is a total soteriological package. Does it not teach that Jesus is Jehovah our Tsidqenuw (Righteousness) in Jeremiah 23:6? Divine righteousness is our eternal assurance of blamelessness. Romans 6:23 reads, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Salvation is a gift and Jesus is the eternality of the Gift. Colossians 3:3-4 “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4) When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.” Does it say that Christ is our life? Will Christ lose His divine life? For as long as Jesus Christ continues to live in glorious Majesty, the born again Christian lives, never to lose his salvation: for his life is hidden in Jesus, Who is our life. Amen!

W.F. Kumuyi, founder of Deeper Life Bible Church, believes in “loss of salvation”.

                When they tell you that salvation of Christianity can suffer loss, they hardly know the source of this eisegesis. The Apostolic Fathers never taught it. A hint of this unbiblical spread came from Saint Augustine of Hippo (354–430) who believed “in a specific gift of perseverance given to some baptized Christians.[123] Augustine did not believe that someone can in this life know with infallible certitude that he is in fact among the elect, and that he will finally persevere. Thus, those who didn’t receive the gift of perseverance can reject justification and lose baptismal regeneration. [124][125] (Apostasy in Christianity: Wikipedia).” An extensive didacticism of this belief was carried out by Jacobo Arminius, after whose death his friends came up with their famous soteriological Five Points of the Remonstrance, which included “perseverance”, meaning that “if a born again child of God does not continue to bear good spiritual fruits, he may lose the salvation.”

                One indubitable fact I have found out is that there is not one single verse on salvation that comes with a string of “if not, you lose it”. What many Christians do not realize is that what St. Augustine taught forms what serves as the bulwark of Catholicism, which includes baby baptism and the latria that Mariology receives in Roman Catholic Church. What influences Jacobo Arminius cannot be trusted. Loss of the soteriology is disturbingly eisegetic. E.O. Adeboye and W.F. Kumuyi (Deeper Life Bible Church) believe and teach loss of salvation.

                These are some of the verses of eternality of salvation: Genesis 3:21; Romans 8:1; John 3:36, 6:40 & 14:23; Romans 5:8; Romans 6:2-11; Romans 10:9-13; Ephesians 2:5; Colossians 2:13; 1Peter 1:3-5 and 1John 5:11-13.

10)          “I admire your Pastor – Rev. Chris Okotie – a  lot, but one thing he teaches that gets me very, very angry with him is that ‘once saved always saved’ misinformation,” Pastor S.O. tells me. My pastor friend, S.O., having been raised through the teachings of Christ Apostolic Church – from his early Christian life – and The Redeemed Christian Church of God, where he became a Pastor, these being two of the so many churches that believe and teach the possibility of losing the Christian salvation; they will not give themselves to the study of the Bible to understand the quiddity of the soteriology. I remember the first time I asked Pastor S.O. to give me a Scripture to prove that a Christian can lose his salvation he readily quoted 2Timothy 4:10, “For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.” And after quoting it he said, “That’s how I know that salvation can be lost; because it says that, Demas, loving the world, went into it: lost his salvation.” This is why many churches, especially those whose ninety percent of their sermocination centres on “righteousness,” continue to drum it into the ears and souls of their members not to do things that lead to loss of salvation. What they believe is that one must observe and maintain his righteousness in order not to miss heaven. The question is: are we righteous by our deeds? What does the word of God say?

God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself

                “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20) Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21) For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (2Corinthians 5:19-21). God was right inside, by and through Jesus ‘reconciling’, which is the Greek katallasso (ka-tal-las’-sō): ‘1. to change mutually. 2. (figuratively) to reconcile.’ The reconciliation to Himself is the ‘world’ which is kosmos (koz’-mos): ‘1. Orderly arrangement, i.e. decoration. 2. (by implication) the world including its inhabitants; {literally or figuratively (morally), by implication “world” in a wide or narrow sense}’. Only God, the sinless One, can author the soteriology. Sinless Christ Jesus must be of the Divinity to carry out the katallasso. There in Eden God created souls for Adam and his wife; souls that suffered corruption and died. But here in 2Corinthians 5:19-21, katallasso removed the sinfulness, and the mutuality garbed the born again with the eternal holiness of Christ. The old nature is dead. Man cannot maintain this divine exchange, only the Institutor of soteriology can and responsibly ensures the sustainability of the katallasso.

                The soteriological quiddity is incontestably of the Divinity. 1Corinthians 3:11 “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” The foundation of the Christian salvation is the eternality of Christ the Lord of glory, which is, and which was, and which is to come; the Almighty. To lose this Christian salvation is an indictment on the finished work of the Golgotha sanguineousness. The Christian who fails to do well will only suffer from not being accorded celestial elevation. 1Corinthians 3:15 “If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.” Should one lose one’s Christian salvation, then the Bible is fraught with contradictions: for it says, “but he himself shall be saved.”

Yahweh Tsidqenuw

                Now when it comes to righteousness, the LORD is our righteousness as the Bible attests to in Jeremiah 23:6, “In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.” The Hebrew for ‘LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS’ is Yhvah Tsidqenuw (ye-ho-vaw’ tsid-kay’-noo) ‘1. Yahweh (is) our right. 2. Yahweh-Tsidkenu, a symbolical epithet of the Messiah and of Jerusalem.’ Who is this LORD? He is Jesus Christ our Saviour. As long as Jesus cannot lose His Divine righteousness, we remain righteous, spiritually, before the thrice holy God the Father. Amen!

9)            I showed the express teaching of Jesus to Pastor S.O. and Brother A. in Matthew 5:43-44 43) “Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44) But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;” but do you know what Pastor S.O. asked Brother A. not to forget also? He asked him to read imprecatory Psalms 35 and 109 of the Bible. I, honestly, do find it unbearably difficult to understand where they are truly coming from, when they try to use another Scripture to legalize this hooliganism in the Christian Church. Why do they find it impossible to see that the employment of Psalm 35 to institutionalize prayer of our enemies’ execution is tantamount to an acceptance that the Bible is fraught with contradictory verses?

                The period of Psalms 35 and 109 couch happens to be in the Law Dispensation. After the death, resurrection, ascension and session of Jesus Christ, the Grace Dispensation which commenced, is still in dispensational force, where people of the world receive salvation. It is the time to show adherence to Matthew 5:44 where ‘love’ is the Greek agapao (a-ğa-paō’): ‘to love (in a social or moral sense), which is the verb form of agape (a-ğa’-pee): ‘1. love (i.e. affection or benevolence). 2. (specially, plural) love feasts; God’s kind of love.’ But the truth is that in the days of Matthew 24:21 Tribulation, the Jews, who would be hardest hit by the Antichrist will have every right to employ these Psalms against the common enemies of God’s people.

                If we curse them who would be born again very soon, are we not working against the love of God, Who gave His Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life? Jesus would have died in vain for the people of our imprecatory vehemence. Matthew 5:44-46 “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45) That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46) For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?” Imagine the person on whose head you rain curses on is desiring to get born again. If he dies, have you not helped the Devil in his nefarious intent to populate hell of his ultimate abode? My friend, Pastor S.O. will say, “God had willed that person to die from my prayer. That is the proof of the efficacy of prayer of my attack!” What, therefore, should happen when Pastor S.O. offends someone and the person rains imprecatory prayers as well? Should the offended person bedamn him, he stands cursed, except Pastor S.O. is an infallible Pope! 

                Pastor S.O. teaches that ‘Rhema’ is superior in definition to the ‘Logos’: believing that ‘rhema has a special biblical or theological meaning than logos. I have tried to explain this to him a couple of times, but the thing is, he seems to think that the less used or known rhema is more important in scope than logos. If a whole pastor does not know the difference between rhema and Logos, does it not show incontrovertibly that he has not studied the Bible enough to know that while the rhema is a verse or one theological thought, the logos is the totality of God’s mind: for it says in Colossians 2:3 “In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” of Jesus Christ. The Logos is actually a Personage. If the Lord Jesus is the Logos, how can rhema be of higher importance? What does one expect from the Scriptural understanding of that pastor’s congregants?

The LOGOS, Which is, and Which was, and Which is to come, the Almighty.

                In the Book of Luke 1:37 “For with God nothing shall be impossible” the word ‘nothing’ comprises ou, pas and rhēma. Ou (oo) is: ‘no, not;’ pas (pas) means: ‘individually, each, every, any, all;’ while rhēma (hray’-mah) has the definitional: ‘that which is or has been uttered by the living voice, thing spoken or word.’ In Mark 9:32, it is said concerning His disciples, “But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him.” The word ‘saying’ is rhema. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1). The Greek for ‘Word’ is, contextually: ‘(specially, with the article in John) the Word of God (capitalized), the Divine Expression, the Creator, the Word of Yahweh; the “Holy-word” of God (as the Holy Scriptures of the Old Testament); the “Redemptive-word” of God.’ Rhema, being one thought or idea of the eternality, comes from the Logos. The Logos is the Second Member of the Godhead. Amen.

8)            According to Pastor S.O., he was present at the Redemption Camp of RCCG when the G.O.  Adeboye told them certain things, and sincerely, according to Pastor S.O., if it is meant for only the members of the RCCG worldwide, what is my concern? Amazing! Is it not? Will God institute a doctrine for RCCG, which is not meant for other churches? Can God present a particular mode of worship for one local assembly alone, and give another to other churches? I thought the Bible clearly states “There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5) One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6) One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all” (Ephesians 4:4-6). Diverse didacticism, mode of worship (some should wear a particular garment to church services), and legislation concerning the exclusion of certain musical instruments like drums makes one wonder if Jehovah is not a God of confusion.

                Any Church indoctrination that fails in conformity with the express scriptural acceptability is ultra vires. The congregation of Christian worshippers is called the body of Christ; it is not the body of G.O. Adeboye, W.F. Kumuyi (G.S. of Deeper Life Ministries), Tunde Bakare, Chris Okotie or Pastor S.O. It is God’s business and property!      Now, if a person or a group people decides to worship God in a particular fashion, as long as it does not contradict Scripture, there is no problem. But when a tradition is given to a local assembly, the Holy Spirit must institute it; what is applicable to one local assembly must be applied to all global churches. Some churches insist that you must come to church with your olive oil to enable a successful deliverance service. The question is, is the Christian faith not enough?

                If I say, “I do not believe, and in fact, the truth remains that I am very certain that not even one of the white-garmented churches is of Jesus”, many opinions will see me as an erratic idiot. But all you need to do is find out how those churches, which insist on your attending their worship services in a particular white robe style before you are seen as a bona fide member, got established. Did Jesus appear to the primate and even told him or her what name to give to the local assembly? Let us take Prophet Emmanuel Adetunji Adeonigbagbe, Founder, Celica Church Of Christ as an example. On the day of his church launch, he was quoted as revealing something: “Before I started this church, three past church leaders, Moses Orimolade, S.B. Oshoffa and Joseph Babalola visited me, telling me that God had raised me to continue where they stopped.” Did Abraham ever approach Moses, Aaron or Samuel? Church business and its administration are solely of Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. Ask them, “Were you truly born again before starting this church business?” One thing I know is that the Holy Spirit is not the God of confusion, ergo, He will not institute diverse forms of worship for different local assemblies. There is only one form of worship for all children of the Most High: “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24).

                When a local assembly decides to inculcate a belief having no scriptural credibility it becomes no more the Biblical “ground and pillar of truth” but an enclave to breed scriptural anomalies hoisting the deceitfulness of Satanism. There is no Godly prayer point that cannot be found in the Bible; neither is the Bible bereft of all modes of Jehovah worship. You cannot give to the local assembly of God’s people what is alien to His protocolary documentation. The reason is quite simple. When the tradition of man finds an inculcation into the affairs of the Church it is a travesty of scriptural facticity. Where do I get this gospel truth? Genesis 6:5 “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” What is the Hebrew word for ‘wickedness’? It is ra‛ râ‛âh (rah):  bad or (as noun) evil (naturally or morally).’ ‘Man’ is âdâm (aw-dawm’) ‘mankind, human being’. Yêtser (yay’-tser) is the Hebrew for ‘imagination’, meaning: ‘framing, purpose, a form; figuratively conception (that is, purpose).’

                The next word, ‘thought’ is machăshâbâh (makh-ash-aw-baw’): ‘device, plan, purpose, invention, (abstractly) intention, plan (whether bad, a plot; or good, advice).’ Then we have ‘heart’ which is lêb (labe): ‘inner man, mind, will, understanding.’ Man of this verse is used in its generic form i.e. the children of Adam. Every second of his days, the fashion of his reasoning is an emanation from the effect of the original sin default. Traditional beliefs of Adamic nature is fraught with the regurgitation of Satanism, when the protocol of Godly care is not applied. This is what has turned Catholicism into “the biggest religious fraud on earth” (my definition of the Romish Church). The Pope’s Church, for over five centuries, has been teaching that ‘Tradition is of equal authority with the Bible’ since The Council of Trent, held in the year 1545.

                The proclamation of Pope Pius IX in 1870 has continued to reverence the dogma of “Papal Infallibility”.

                Let us flash back to 2021: the Vatican decreed that the Catholic Church would not bless gay marriages because God “cannot bless sin”. But in a turn of events in 2023, December 18^th, two years later, Pope Francis told the world that Catholicism would be open to having the Catholic Church bless same-sex unions. The pope, in defence of this biblical faux pas, said “pastoral charity” requires patience and understanding, adding that priests should not become judges “who only deny, reject and exclude”. Matthew 15:9 “But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” Pope Francis, you lack Scriptural affluence. Check the Divine protocolary: for as there is righteous judgment (Genesis 18:25; Acts 17:31; Numbers 25:7-11; Isaiah 11:4; Psalms 98:8), there also is unrighteous judgment (Leviticus 19:15; Exodus 23:3; Deuteronomy 1:17; Psalm 82:2; James 2:6-9). Righteous judgment allows God’s child to condemn moral irregularities. What is wrong with Pope Francis’ Catholicism is not just a case of scriptural small-mindedness, it is an egregious stubborn bent on Satanism. Judgment, of Scriptural facticity, will begin in God’s house: the Church. Selah!

This disgust of Romans 1:27 is the endorsement of Pope’s Catholicism.

                Romans 1:26-28 remain the scriptural pointer to the diabolism of homosexuality. “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27) And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28) And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient.”

                It is so unfortunate that people do not seem to apprehend this deplorable mendacity of believing in Church Tradition: for it means that the Pope, General Overseer and the Primate of Christian denomination actually sit, physically, in the council of the Godhead, in the third heavenly assizes; and the Eternal Father, Son and the Spirit agree with them; then they travel all the way from heaven to the earth in actuation of these dogmas. This is nothing short of egregious absurdity of confusion. Only the Antichrist will deign to swim in such murkiness of religious quagmire.

7)            Once I posed this question to Pastor S.O.,“Who is truly greater between God the Father and the God the Son?” His answer, which I could not help in creepy observation, was the Yoruba adage, “Kòlè jé ti baba, kó jé t’omo, k’ómó láálà.” The English translation is “It cannot be co-owned by father and son without the drawn line.” This adage is traditionally of family farmland which evidently accords the admittance of superiority of ownership to the father. I believe that most church going Christians believe that the God the Father is more powerful, more knowledgeable and omnipresent while the Son, the Christ, does not possess true stature of divine equality. There is no smidgeon of doubt in my mind that a whole lot of church leaders are scriptural abecedarians. The first living intelligent entity of biblical documentation is in Genesis 1:1: “In the beginning God”.

                Four is the number of creation, therefore, ‘God’ comes as the fourth of His protocolary couch. The sobriquet ‘God’ is the Hebraic ‘elohiym (el-o-heem’) אֱלֹהֵי ‘elohiy (el-o-hee’) [alternate plural]: ‘1. (literally) supreme ones. 2. (hence, in the ordinary sense) gods. 3. (specifically, in the plural, especially with the article) the Supreme God (i.e. the all supreme).’ If the God of the Bible is triune in essence then Christ did partake in the creationism. If Jesus Christ, in creation, did create ex nihilo – create out of nothing – then He is as Almighty as the Father, which is nothing short of co-equality with His Father. It says of Jesus, “The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made” (John 1:2-3). If He made all things, visible and invisible, He is as Almighty as the Father and the Holy Spirit.

“…two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20)

                God the Father is everywhere; is the Son also everywhere as the Holy Spirit is? The Scripture quotes Jesus in the asseverative “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20). How many pray in a second all over the whole globe, and in how many places do church services hold? Millions, no doubt, and Jesus makes it clear that wherever people are gathered in His holy name, He is present before them, in different parts of the world. This is a proof of His ubiquity! In Matthew 28:20 He promised the disciples, “…lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

                Does Jesus know everything just like the Eternal Father? Yes, and the Bible has the answer. “…to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 3) In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:2-3). It also says in another place, “For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell” (Colossians 1:19). “But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God” (1Corinthians 1:24). How can an entity be said to have containerize in Him all the treasures wisdom and knowledge, have all fullness dwelling in Him and be said to be power and wisdom of God and not possess equality of Omniscience with the Eternal Father? Selah! Human philosophical rationalism cannot truly explain the theology of the Divinity. The Scriptures, and only the Divine protocol, is the only place to look for God’s mind, will and essence. And this I have always told him – Pastor S.O. – how grossly erroneous it is, to explain veridicality of Divinity, making use of the gregariousness of Adamic phenomenality. Human deviation from Scriptural couch has turned the Church of God into a dumping ground for all kinds of thoughts, including Hegelianism.

                In his reaction to Pastor S.O.’s question, “Will you not pray for your enemy’s death,” Brother A. was categorical, saying, “I am a serious member of Mountain of Fire Ministries Church.” MFM has indoctrinated its adherence to pray in all seriousness, “My enemy, die, die! Die!!” In the defence of this prayer, “Die, my enemy die. Die, the manager who is working against my promotion, die,” which one often hears from members of MFM Church, Brother A quoted Luke 19:27, believing that if Jesus would love to slay His enemies, then every Christian like him has every scriptural right to kill his enemies. To my chagrin, Pastor S.O. stretched his hand towards Brother A, congratulating him for a well said defence of prayer of imprecation.

                Pastor S.O., who has a whole church to his pastoral care stood firm in his argument, and would not agree with me when I told them that what Brother A quoted is a parable, to start with. Even when I opened the Bible to show them Luke 19:27, “But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me;” they still did not agree that this verse does not give anybody the reason to rain imprecatory prayers on a perceived enemy. The infuriating problem with most Bible teachers is this proclivious eisegetical anomaly. The reason for this parable was the words of Jesus, “because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear” in the eleventh verse. This is where scriptural conceptualization comes exegetically in. If Jesus told the Roman governor, “My kingdom is not of this world” in His Incarnational days, then, the period of slaying cannot be of those days and even these days of grace. The day of slaying His enemies will certainly be at His Second Coming of scriptural vaticination.

6)            What does Adeboye’s building of churches in every five-minute walk across the global territorial lands connote? Could he be nursing the outrageous idea of becoming the head of the church leaders of the world? Was there any position of that sort in the Acts of the Apostles, when the modern Church got nursed to maturity? After the demise of the Apostolic Fathers, did any pastor build more than one church and sit somewhere as the Bishop or Archbishop of the several local assemblies? What I do know so clearly, from the point of Scripture, is that Ephesians 4:11 to 12 says, “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12) For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:” and the Giver of the ecclesiastic offices is the Lord Jesus.

Jesus, placing His hand on Peter, said to Peter, “Feed My sheep” (John 21:16).

                1Corinthians 12:4-6 “Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5) And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6) And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.” What is this word, ‘administrations’ of verse five? It is diakonia (d̮iy-a-ko-niy’-a): ‘1. attendance (as a servant, etc.). 2. (figuratively) charitable aid. 3. (especially) official service of the Christian teacher. 4. (technically) official service of the body of stewards (deacons).’ The Members of the Trinity are involved in the giving of diverse operations of the Church. It is quite unscriptural for any man of God to decide who should pastor any local assembly: seeing that it is the Spirit that appoints to the Christians’ bucolic office. All these Bishops, Archbishops, General Overseers and General Superintendents are, by tradition, unknown to Acts Of Apostles and the Apostolic nurturing Fatherhood of Peterine, Johannine and Pauline (to mention a few) ministrations. The only reason why they could appoint pastors was simply because of their apostolic office of bringing the Church to her maturity.        

                The arguments I hear from members of churches of many branches is that, that is the way to take the word of God to far and widest places. They, however, do not understand that the Church is God’s business, not man’s property. Look at so many pastors of today; they lack true and deep knowledge of the Bible. When I see them appoint themselves to the post of Apostles (very fashionable these days) I shake my head. They do not understand that if they should show up in the Churches of great men of God like Pastor E.O. Adeboye, Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, T.D. Jakes, Bishop David Oyedepo, Pastor Tunde Bakare, or Reverend Chris Okotie, they should be accorded the regard given to Paul, Peter and John (Apostles), who have shown up (in their Apostolic Fatherhood roles) in their local assemblies to unravel deep things of the Bible. The question is, do these, so called Apostles, know enough of the Bible to teach these great men of God what they do not know? Selah! Apostles nurtured the nascent Church to adulthood and placed each local assembly in the hands of the presiding pastors to continue the work of the Lord’s vineyard.      

                It, therefore, does not surprise me when I hear some supposedly teachers of Bible taking preposterous stand like: “Well, this is Paul’s understanding and not necessarily of Jesus, I’ll rather embrace the words and teaching of Jesus.” This can only be a goading of Satanism, intended to create a ruse, making Pauline couch a faux pas. Methinks facticity of Scriptural unambiguity states: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17) That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works” (2Timothy 3:16-17). A fault found in Pauline couch finds irregularities in the thoughts of the LORD God!

                Pastor S.O. who gets very angry when I tell him, “You are not an Apostle,” is in the habit of eisegetical spread of the word of God. He will say, for instance, “There are two types of love: lust and God’s love.” I have, more than once asked him, “Where did you get that?” Then he will quote, “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him” (1John 2:15). He believes he knows that since it says, “love not” then it is “lust” that particular ‘love’ means. “What if you are wrong?” but sadly enough for someone who claims ecclesiastic Apostleship of Christianity, he believes, without any qualms of being wrong, that since the Holy Spirit is dwelling in him, so, when he decides to teach the Bible, whether he pays attention to the Hebrew or Greek understanding of the context or not, he cannot be wrong! Most of these pastors do not care to study to meet the Lord’s approbation.

                Now let us look at 1John 2:15: the first and the second ‘love’ is agapaō (ag-ap-ah’-o): ‘to love (in a social or moral sense).’ This is the verb form of agapē. The third ‘love’ is agapē (ag-ah’-pay): ‘Brotherly love, affection, good will, love, benevolence; love feasts; charity; the love of God for man and of man for God.’ My friend, Pastor S.O., you are wrong. None of the ‘love’ of this verse means ‘lust’. You have again, in this Scriptural matter, failed to prove your “apostleship.” Our affection, which should be rightly given to God, our heavenly Father, Apostle John teaches in 1John 2:15, must not be spent on the world system, run by Satanism. Kosmos (kos’-mos) is the Greek for ‘world’ meaning: ‘the form, fashion of a thing, of states, order, government, Gentile nation as opposed to Jews – under God’s covenant.’ The kosmos is under satanic rule.

5)            Before anyone gets born again, Jude mentions three processes towards the eventual actuation: God sets the unborn future Christian apart; preserves him in a Divine refrigerator called Jesus Christ, the Saviour; waiting for the day of evangelistic sermocination when one gives the ‘call’ the due response. Sōzō coupled with the context of Jude verse one teaches the irrevocability of the soteriology found in Christianity. Scriptural small-mindedness will not allow those who believe everything Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye teaches, whether it is in conformity to God’s protocol or not, to understand genuineness of theology. Tithing is God’s formula for riches but never the road to eternality of life in heavenly blissfulness. Malachi 3:10-12 is God’s formula for riches, it reads, “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 11) And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. 12) And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.”

                Beaming the light of God’s protocolary on Adeboye’s desideration to engage the religious support of people of diverse faiths in his ascension to global political superintendency, I know in all certainty that it cannot come from the throne of the Majesty on high. If Pastor Adeboye is neither the Christ nor the Antichrist will God act irreverently towards His Word which gives this authority only to the Christ and the son of perdition, the Antichrist? Prophet Daniel is the first to make a direct prophecy at the coming of the Antichrist. Daniel 7:24-25 “And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. 25) And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.” The expression ‘a time and times and the dividing of time’ is the three and a half years of the evil days of the son of perdition.

                In the first three and a half years of seven allotted years that completes the 490 years (Daniel’s vatic seventy weeks), the Antichrist will bring peace to the world. He must do that. It is the pattern of the Christ during His ministry’s days on earth: he went about doing good things. The Antichrist will have no choice, according to Divine protocol, to do good works. But he cannot bring perfect peace like Jesus whose peaceful reign will last for one thousand years. 1Thessalonians 5:2-4 “For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3) For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 4) But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.” The peace of the Antichrist will not last because he is not the Prince of peace. Revelation 20:4 “And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.” Amen!

                Now, which of the two above does Pastor Adeboye represent, the Lord Jesus or the Antichrist? This is why I am totally in disagreement with the G.O. of the RCCG and I do not think he is in full grasp of this idea of bringing peace to the world. If Adeboye understands the full import of what he is toying with, then I can categorically tell him that he is dining with Lucifer! Does he, Pastor Adeboye, understand that going against the express Word of God is tantamount to calling the LORD God a liar? Does it not publish the mind of God in Psalm 138:2, where it explicitly says “…for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name?” His Word, has been with Him before anything was created, ergo, uncreated; this Word, which is also characterized by the triune almightiness of omniscience, omnipotence and omnipresence, the LORD God has enlarged in exceeding excellence above every high and loftiness of His divine names. Going in contrariness against the Word of God is an attack on the Divinity of the thrice holy God.   

                Getting born again is a conscious effort on the part of an individual. Get born again. Say this sinner’s prayer.

“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”
