HE IS IN FULL CONTROL (Part four)

(…continued from part three…)

4)            He is in full control:

As the Father: in Genesis 1:3 “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” He is the Author of creationism. Revelation 4:2 “And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.” This is the Eternal Father, seated majestically over His Rainbow Administration. This is the first time His physical presence receives a scriptural recording. The truth is that, the word ‘one’ is in italics, proving that it is not of the original Johannine script (remove the pronoun ‘one’ of the verse and it comes out more forcefully). The word ‘throne’ is thronos (thron’-os) and it has the definitions of: ‘1. a stately seat, “throne” 2. (by implication) power 3. (concretely) a potentate, sovereign, or ruler.’ Thronos comes from thrao “to sit.”

As the Christ: in Genesis 3:8, “And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.” As Jesus Christ His absolute proof of being in control of His life is read in John 10:18, “No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.”Neither of the Eternal Father nor the Holy Spirit, save the Eternal Son, is ever beheld by the naked eyes of man.

And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters” (Genesis 1:1).

As the Holy Spirit: in Act 20:28, “Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.” Before the crucifixion of Jesus, He sat, in the holy of holiest, as the LORD God of Israel to be worshipped. After the resurrection, from the day of Pentecost, He has taken control of the Church Age till the second coming of the Messiah.

Most certainly, dominion got transferred from Adamic hegemony to that of the indwelling serpentine spirit. However, by the protevangelium of Genesis 3:15 the man, technically, was brought in to represent God, putting Him, the LORD God, in control. When God’s breath, which He put in man’s creation, mixes with the faith in God’s word, man becomes his creator’s oracular afflatus –office of a regnant prophet. The meaning of Seth, Adam’s third son, is the Hebraic shêth (shayth): compensation; put, that is, substituted.’ Having been put in place by divine authorisation, the Bible says, “And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD” [Gen 4:26]. The LORD never did lose control. Amen.

Enoch was translated, according to Pauline apostolic teaching where the ‘translation’ of Hebrews 11:5, metathesis (met-ath’-es-is) means: transposition, that is, transferral (to heaven), disestablishment (of a law).’ Man was taken to a place of rest, awaiting a certain glorification and eventual return to his ownership of the earth which has been given to him as a Divine donation. Amen. One of the meanings of ‘translation’ is ‘disestablishment of the law’ and the salience of questioning should be, “What law?” It is the law of ‘sin and death’ [Romans 8:2]; a reminder of the couch, “The soul that sinneth, it shall die” [Ezekiel 18:20]. Proving His transcendental hegemon He disestablished the clog in the wheels of Adamic spiritual progression. That administrative abrogation enabled paradise access to an antediluvian saint like Enoch.

The annihilating, great Deluge

The oldest Adamic creature in history, Methuselah, was made to sleep in Abraham’s Bosom just before the annihilating great Deluge (an age which got the importation of the pervasive wickedness from Cain’s city of Nod). He must be kept safe, all because of the facticity of not wanting to have not more than eight souls in the ark: eight is the number of new beginnings. Is HE not in control? Selah! Is the LORD God in spiritual control of your life? Then, categorically speaking, you have absolutely nothing to worry about! Definitely not!

Man has always been a bad manager of his life. Let God be in control of your life for proper management. Get born again. Say this prayer, meaning it:

“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”

TRINITY OF THE GODHEAD (7)

“King of kings and Lord of lords” is epithetic of Jesus and of the Father. 1Timothy 6:15 “Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;” is of the Father. Other corroborative verses are 1Ti 1:17; Psa 47:2; Psa 83:18; Jer 10:10; Jer 46:18; Dan 2:44-47; Dan 4:34 and Mat 6:13. Jesus as the ‘King of kings is found in Revelation 19:16 “And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” Supportive scriptures are Rev 1:5 and 17:14. If Christ has the visibility of it written on Him, what is the evidential reality of the Father being so? Revelation 4:4, “And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.”

The ‘throne’ on which sat the Eternal Father is the Greek thronos (thron’-os): ‘From θράω thraō (to sit); a stately seat (“throne”); by implication power or (concretely) a potentate.’ The twenty-four elders sat on ‘seats’ which in the Greek is also thronos. Two seats of thrones: one has the occupation of the Eternal Father, in the eternal representative capacity of the Godhead. The elders sit on thrones as well, representing the triumphant Church: for does it not say of Christians ‘a royal priesthood’ of 1Peter 2:9 and ‘kings and priests’ in Revelation 1:6 & 5:10? Each one of them has a crown on his head. This ‘crown’ is not diadēma (dee-ad’-ay-mah) ‘a diadem, an ornamental headband worn as a badge of royalty, (or simply put) a ribbon.’

This ‘crown’ is stephanos (stef’-an-os), meaning: ‘From an apparently primary “stepho” (to twine or wreathe); a chaplet (as a badge of royalty, a prize in the public games or a symbol of honor generally; but more conspicuous and elaborate than the simple fillet, diadēma).’ Now, this is what makes the Father ‘King of kings.’ When the four angels pronounce the deifying canticles of the Father, the twenty-four elders remove their stephanos, lie prostate before Father, the ‘King of kings.’ Amen!

The One of the 3rd Heaven throne sits in the Holy of Holies

The Holy Spirit, if it is not forgotten, sat in the holiest compartment of the Jerusalem Temple. He sat in the holy of holies not only as the God of Israel but also as Jehovah, the political Head of the Jewish theocratic government. Israel had kings. Judah had kings and nations were ruled by kings. The One behind the second veil, the Holy Spirit, the energising force behind creationism, sat there as the King of kings. I do not expect the spirit of gainsaying not to take steps of facileness in asking where the thronos of the Holy Spirit and that of the Christ are, seeing that each of the elders do have a throne.

The answer, found in glorious asseveration of Jesus in John 17:10, “And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them;” is of general application. Jesus is there on the thronos, duly sharing in the Divinity of the Father’s majesty. Seven is God’s number of perfection. The seven fires burning eternally before the throne, is the perfection persona of the Holy Spirit. He could not have sat for centuries, to receive worship, in the holiest of all compartments of the Jerusalem Temple and not be a Living Entity. The high priest must approach the third and most holy place with the sacrificial blood in his hands. He must not make any mistake if he intended to be the officiating minister the following year. To show the atoning blood in his hands to a ‘lifeless wind,’ as Jehovah’s Witness people would have us believe, is tantamount to sheer idolatry!

The High Priest went in there to represent the entire nation of Israel for the forgiveness of the year’s transgressions. He stood sacerdotally before the unseen Jehovah Elohim and the Holy Spirit duly accepted the oblational approach. Without Him there is no Church administration. God’s thoughts came alive in the minds of Bible writers to checkmate any contradictory scripting of the word of God because He inspired them. Only God knows the mind of God. The Holy Spirit (i.e. the burning lamp of Rev. 4:5) is there in the celestial throne room to purify God’s word seven times. He is the lamp to our righteous feet before the LORD. The fire wraps us up in the righteous zeal for the Lord’s use.

The verity of the Godhead sits the Eternal Father on the throne.

Through the macrocosmic truism of creationism, in the corporeality of the Godhead traverses the Saviour, Lord Jesus.

Filling to the brim, the entire universe and creation, and to an overflowing is, yet of HIM, the Third Member, the Holy Spirit.

Who among the three Members of the Godhead is greater or the greatest? “None!” is the answer. Theologically, they are one. They are one worshipful God. Let us pray the prayer of 2Corinthians 13:14 which says,“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.”  Did I hear someone conclude the prayer with, “…be with us all?” Amen!

The LORD has always been with Israel

TRINITY OF THE GODHEAD (6)

Only God has the power to lay it down, and the power to take it again!

Dangers of non-Trinitarian operation

There will be no forgiveness. The first case of forgiveness is found in Genesis 3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them. The One who steps out of the Trinity in corporeality of the Godhead, Christ, the Second Member of the Godhead, in His pre-incarnation manifestation, covered the pristine couple with the sin cleansing skin of the sacrificial animals, in the Garden of Eden.

Non-forgiveness of every sinful act will lead to an outright condemnation and total annihilation of humanity. Creation gets to be prevented from experiencing the Creator’s pardoning Spirit. Man will be deprived of the service of a Savior. It is bound to culminate in a no-salvation.

The One of the 3rd Heaven throne sits in the Holy of Holies

A Judge of no compassion: that is what Jehovah will be. God cannot be the Judge and the Solicitor; and anyone who must stand before God in mediation must be of Divinity. Only God knows what to say to appeal to His judgment. Through Jesus, who alone knows the divine mind of the Judging God (the Father), the sanguification, serving as the justification of born again ones, is presented as a verifying exhibit in the celestial assizes. Without the installation of Plurality in the Godhead, it would have been impossible to get anyone sanctified enough to take a judicial stand before Jehovah. “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” [1Timothy 2:5].

   JEHOVAH ‘ELOHIYM IS ONE GOD

There cannot be four, two or a thousand of THEM: in the Godhead. Whoever thinks there are more or less than three should come with the proof of Scripture. “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one” [1John 5:7]. The word ‘one’ is heis (heis`) in the Greek, meaning: ‘a neuter ‘one’ implying one in all things: essence, power, majesty, knowledge.’ Hebrews 12:24 reads, “And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.” The book of 1Peter 1:2 does strike the cord of the Divine accord found in the Trinity. It reads, “Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.” There, most certainly, would not have been any Divine Mediation without the instauration carried out by the Trinity, through which we become recipients of the soteriological grace of the Most High. Amen!

DO YOU!?

Revelation 5:6, “And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.” I culled the following from JFB Commentary on this verse: “seven eyes . . . the seven Spirits . . . sent forth—So one oldest manuscript, A. But B reads, “being sent forth.” As the seven lamps before the throne represent the Spirit of God immanent in the Godhead, so the seven eyes of the Lamb represent the same sevenfold Spirit profluent from the incarnate Redeemer in His world-wide energy.”

And the Lamb is the light thereof (Rev. 21:23).

“And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof” [Rev 21:23]. You may ask, “Where’s the Holy Spirit in this project of global illumination?” Remember He is there in the throne-room as the seven (speaks of perfection) lamps of fire. In Revelation 4:2, the One who sits in Majesty in the heavenly assizes is the very One who must be the Occupant of the Divine Seat of the Holy of Holies, in the Jerusalem temple, to receive worship due to Jehovah! Amen!

Do not forget in a hurry that He (the Holy Spirit) dwells in us to make us Godlike cum God carriers. Amen.

TRINITY OF THE GODHEAD (5)

The Scriptures, most evidently, teaches the co-equality of the Trinity.

“That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him” [John 5:23]. The verb, ‘honour or honoureth,’ is timaō (tim-ah’-o): ‘to estimate, fix the value of a belonging; to revere, venerate.’ This commentary on John 5:23 captures it so perfectly: “That all men should honour the Son, c.] If then the Son is to be honoured, EVEN AS the Father is honoured, then the Son must be God, as receiving that worship which belongs to God alone. To worship any creature is idolatry: Christ is to be honoured even as the Father is honoured therefore Christ is not a creature; and, if not a creature, consequently the Creator. See Joh 1:3.”

The celestial assizes

   THE CELESTIAL ASSIZES

“He that honoureth not the Son] God will not receive that man’s adoration who refuses to honour Jesus, even as he honours him. The Jews expected the Messiah as a great and powerful Prince; but they never thought of a person coming in that character enrobed with all the attributes of Godhead. To lead them off from this error, our Lord spoke the words recorded in these verses.” [Adam Clarke’s Commentary].

Revelation 5:8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. The angels and the elders ‘fell down’ in worship of the Lamb. They give to the Lamb, the Lord Jesus, right there in the throne room, what is due to the One (Father) who sits eternally on the throne.

Most Holy Place

   Most Holy Place

In the Most Holy Place of Exodus 26:34 “And thou shalt put the mercy seat upon the ark of the testimony in the most holy place.” This was the physical location of the Holy Spirit, seated in acceptance of all adoration to Jehovah, the Eternal Creator. Co-equality! Here the Spirit received honour due to Elohiym. Amen. All that Peter asked in the Book of Acts 5:3-5 was, “…why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?” and in the fifth verse, “…Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost:…” all because, according to the Apostle in the fourth verse, “thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.” The Holy Spirit is equally Jehovah God. Amen. “But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation” (Mark 3:29). Do we all not know that any sinful act is ultimately an evil commission to the Divinity?

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,” John 3:16 began to teach of the Eternal Father’s soteriological design, and, “that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” is the conclusion. Stepping from eternal glory to save mankind is what we read in John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Of this very One Paul says in Hebrews 10:20, “By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;” and in Colossians 2:9, “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.” ‘Fullness’ is the Greek word, plērōma (play’-ro-mah): ‘repletion or completion, that is, (subjectively) what fills (as contents, supplement, copiousness, multitude), or (objectively) what is filled (as container, performance, period).’ ‘Godhead’ is theotēs (theh-ot’-ace): ‘deity; the state of being God; divinity (abstractly).’

Paul catechized these theological realities through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. In these days of grace, when the Spirit of the truth communes, through the evangelism of the Church, of the salvation through Christ and you deny this kerygma of eternal truth, what you are doing is nothing short of calling the Holy Spirit a liar. Blasphemy! Unpardonable sacrilegious act of eternal consequence! Why? He is the hidden, God Eternal! Period. Was He not hidden behind the katapetasma (second veil) in the most holy place? Is He not dwelling inside our spirits -the millions of Christians- who have received the Divine adoption and through whom He preaches the kerygma to the world? If this Spirit dwells in the hearts of millions across the global sphere does He not display the characteristic ubiquity of the eternal God? Selah.

AND ONE SAT ON THE THRONE (Revelation 4:2)

Isaiah 42:8, “I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images” is an established fact that God does not share honour and worship. Why –have you ever asked yourself–- would attributes of Divinity be shared among the Trinity? What a perfect plan of Divinity is in operation: God, the Father, sits in the celestial assizes as the absolute Judge; God, the Son, is seated as the Eternal Advocate; the Divine Witness is none other than the Holy Spirit!

And these three are one (1John 5:7)

For the perfection of this actuation God gave the solution of John 3:3, which comes into effect when Romans 10:9-10 is invoked in the sinner’s prayer. And for the actuation of this divine rejuvenation God must give the covenant name: Jehovah. I AM THAT I AM was first used to emancipate the suffering Israel.

TRINITY OF THE GODHEAD (4)

Omniscience of the Members of the Trinity:

Erudition of Saint Paul was at its peak, in his bid to fathom God’s knowledge in Romans 11:33 “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!” Jesus is also, like the Father, omniscient. Colossians 2:3 says of the Christ, “In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” John 10:15 is quite lucent with the asseveration of Jesus. “As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.” The verb, ‘knoweth’ and ‘know’ are the same ginōskō (ghin-oce’-ko) ‘to “know” (absolutely).’

The starkness of this reality is that only God can know God absolutely! The Holy Spirit cannot be left out in being a Partaker of omniscient Personality as 1Corinthians 2:11 “For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God” reveals. The word ‘knoweth’ here is eido (ei’-do) ‘1. to see, to gaze (i.e. with wide-open eyes) 2. to discern or know experientially.’ If He knows what Christ knows then we definitely have Three Personages in the Godhead. Selah!

For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things (Romans 11:36)

Omnipotence attribute:

There is no gainsaying the Eternal Father’s almightiness even if Luke 18:27, “And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God;” is silent about it. An eminent Job could not hide the prevalent truism of “I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee” (Job 42:2). Revelation 1:8 is an unveiling of Jesus as the ‘Almighty’, the Greek of which is pantokratōr (pan-tok-rat’-ore): ‘he who holds sway over all things; the ruler of all; the all ruling, that is, God (as absolute and universal sovereign).’ This is the Lord Jesus whom the world would gladly see as nondescript –just one of the prophets.

The Spirit flexed His unbelievable muscles of salvation in Romans 15:19 “Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.” His potency keeps us on the spiritual journey of righteousness. Romans 15:13 reads, “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” He must indwell the saved souls, so innumerable -a proof of HIS ubiquity, a sole preserve of the Divinity. “That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man” [Ephesians 3:16].

Omnipresence is an attribute of the Trinity:

David could not hide his sheer awe of Him in Psalm 139:7-16. Verse 7 reads, “Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?” The wisest Solomon in the Book of 1Kings 8:27 acclaimed of God, the Father, “But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?” This took place at the dedication of the great Jerusalem Temple. “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” [Matthew 18:20]. This is the express declaration of Jesus, the Second Member of the Godhead. Imagine the billions of prayers around the earth? How can one Christ be ubiquitously present wherever prayers are offered? Simple! Jesus Christ is Omnipresent! That makes Him God.

The seven lamps of fire [Revelation 4:5]

The seven lamps of fire [Revelation 4:5]

Revelation 5:6 “And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.” The Holy Spirit cannot but be ubiquitous as well. “Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out” [Act 5:9]. Nothing escapes His (Holy Spirit’s) searching eyes.
